Took 3 phone calls and 2 visits to get a prescription filled. When I went in to pick it up, it was not ready and the cashier said come back in 10 mins. I went back the next am and was told it was out of stock partially and not ready. The Cashier said they had an incompetent pharmacist the last 2 days. When I asked to speak to the pharmacist she also blamed the pharmacist on staff last 2 days. Another person weighed in and said she had moved the prescription to "out of stock" status but had not informed me. I asked them to prepare whatever they had as I could not keep coming back. When I picked it up a few minutes later I informed the cashier I would not be coming back. The cashier replied "sounds good to me" in a sarcastic tone. I will not be going back. read more

For those typical and commercial toiletries, this has been our go-to for the last 21 years we've been visiting Woodstock. But now that we're almost here every weekend, it's been our main fixture. Situated on Mill Hill Rd, this CVS' comprehensive services include immunizations, COVID vax, passport photos, print regular photos and have UPS services. In all the years we've shopped here, I don't think I've encountered anyone who wasn't helpful. And if we needed our Rx to be transferred here for any reason, the pharmacy dept has assisted completely. Big enough parking lot- you can't go wrong there either. read more

I wait for 30 minutes, "Give us 15 more minutes." 15 more minutes goes by "Actually can you just stop by tomorrow." Bunch of glue sniffing jokers working in the pharmacy. I would give zero stars if I could. I have to go in there once every three months and every time there is an issue the incompetence of the staff is just awesome. Tried to get this CVS to initiate a transfer of 2 prescriptions I am only a summer resident here and need refills on both. I followed their instructions on their recorded line, leaving my information, prescriptions needed, and pharmacy in another state that currently has my prescriptions including the pharmacy phone number. I received a call from CVS co forming the information and was told they would contact me in a few days when prescriptions were ready for pickup. I heard nothing so I drove to CVS, waited in line and then asked about status. They knew nothing about it and tech handed me a piece of paper to write down all the information again. I decided if a pharmacy couldn't even find the information I had given to them twice already, I probably shouldn't trust them to fill my prescriptions. Wasted a week but moving on to another pharmacy. Updated: Would like to edit to leave negative stars. After CVS dropped the ball 3 times in getting my prescriptions transferred and claimed to not have them yesterday, I tried to transfer them from my home pharmacy to The Apothecary (better reviews-should have checked Yelp first) only to find out that prescriptions had already been sent to CVS. So I had to go back to my original pharmacy, have them "pull back" the 2 prescriptions they sent to CVS, then to send those same prescriptions to Village Apothecary. Lots of extra work for everyone but the worst part of all of this is the "customer service" at CVS. I was told by a pharmacy tech that she was 54 years old and I was not her mother so she did not need to listen to me when I asked her to interrupt her monologue so I could speak, I was told by the pharmacist that she wasnt there the days this happened so she didn't know what happened and she already had another job so (I guess) didn't want to hear about how CVS dropped the ball. In her defense, she did seem to want to help but I have lost all faith in CVS's ability to handle prescriptions. I will not be using them again for any prescriptions even if it means drivng many many miles out of my way. read more

wow, will never go here again have been going here for years. Went today to pick up my prescription and had to listen to a very loud conversation by two employees behind the pharmacy counter who were complaining loudly about working at CVS about their pay about being cheated it sounded like I was at a Stewart's gas station. They might as well tell us all in the store on loud speaker, very low brow very redneck and I told the manager and I'm sure he didn't care. Oh tell us all what they are thinking. It's like being in line at a grocery store and having to listen to somebody complain about their restraining order does anybody have self-respect anymore especially when they are working? I usually have to keep to my zen head when I walk in to this particular CVS....This time was outrageous. Whoever is behind that counter just continued to talk over, while on the phone. So i had to do the same. is this how we communicate today? I asked why my bill was so high and she states casue it was through your ins. I said my good rx is in the system and its auto at the cvs in NYC that I normally offer my biz at. I will never step foot into this CVS again. The rudeness was outrageous. Yesterdaty the pharmacist put the phone down for over 4.5 minutes while he was managing other people without telling me what is going on. It may seem simple and stupid compared to the beyond craziness in the world right now, but por favor have some respect and not antagonize people. Horrible. I just called to check the status of a medication, Nicole cut me off before I could even finish talking. Had a snide remark. Why work in customer service when you're so miserable? Head Technician, Nicole is beyond rude. She is curt, unprofessional and should not be public facing at the very least. Steer clear.

I am willing to drive out of my way to Saugerties or Kingston to avoid using this location. With the exception of Claudia, who is amazing and wonderful, the pharmacy staff here ranged from indifferent to downright unhelpful. I have been given other customers' medications, and often had to wait several hours for medication for my kids and myself when we were sick. The manager David is responsive to comments but I haven't seen an improvement. The frontend staff is very nice and the store is clean but the pharmacy is awful. read more

CVS in Woodstock ~ I can not thank them enough. Help in so many ways-prescriptions That got mixed up by my mother~ how to use Equitment ~ what doses ~ dog getting a pill ~ quick extra's ~ medications to carry on -when we run out - and waiting for Doctor to refill. And So so many conversations with my Mother who is 87~ the patience - understanding - kindness - and overall Caring that she and I receive is ~ more than unbelievable , even when the place is busy and there is so much to do ~ you are treated Like you are the only person in the store. Some times I panic - taking care of my Mother ~ or stress I'm not doing it correctly or not enough time ~But with there knowledge and help everything seems To fall into place and become routine . TILL the next incident accrue's . I do Beleave they are a big part of - the quality time,i am spending with Mom Now. Not enough words to thank - the care, patience,service,kindness,knowledge and skill that is provided from them. read more

The pharmacist is beyond helpful. I was up for a long weekend and by mistake did not have my prescription medication with me. She helped me to get everything I needed and I could not have stayed for the long holiday weekendif I do not have her immense help. This is what a pharmacy should be like. read more

I had a wonderful experience with an employee named Matt who works in this pharmacy. I was about 2.5 hours away from my house and i needed an emergency prescription. This CVS was the closest one to where i was. Although this CVS was out of the script i needed, Matt went out of his way to call other CVS stores until he eventually found one that i could go to. His effort, kindness and willingness to help was awesome. If only all employees were this nice. read more
