Old fashioned fudge and candy store with a strong emphasis on feeding your sweet tooth. The slabs of fudge flavors were hard to resist and tried the raspberry chocolate swirl which was smooth and provided an instant burst of raspberry teasing my palate - the chocolate orange and sour lemon looked promising too. They offered several bags of multi flavored popcorns including parmesan garlic, cheddar cheese and salt & vinegar. Plenty of novelty gift candies and focus on the upcoming valentines day. As part of our annual visit, we stop by to bring fudge home. Husband loves ice cream, and they had Queenie's. No more Queenie's, but the replacement is just as good. The fudge, as always, is great. Walking through the door, I felt I was transported to another place. That isn't to say that this small, locally owned and operated candy shop doesn't fit with the fun and funky vibe of Matlacha but it exceeded my expectations in all the best ways. The owner, William, was friendly and super-generous with his time, attention AND samples. This is truly a fudge-lover's haven. The array of choices is impressive. There is also a great selection of house-made chocolates and gourmet popcorn. When we arrived, they were in the process of bagging freshly made caramel popcorn. Probably the best fudge I have ever had! I called in the order and picked it up in front. It's open for online orders and pick up only. Well worth it. I ordered the chocolate and orange fudge. My boyfriend and I drove away and proceeded to taste both flavors in the car. We were 30 min away from the shop and debated for another 10 min to go back for more. Yes. It was that good! It was creamy and tasty. We decided that we didn't need the extra calories. But we are putting this place on our favorites list for next time. YUM!! read more

I love the small town candy shop vibe. William makes quality fudge in the best, and most creative flavors. Although the quality of this gourmet candy is outstanding, it is not the best thing about this shop. What makes this place genuinely excellent, is William Tidwell's charm. Loved the customer service that I was met with as soon as I entered the fudge shop! There were so many options to choose from, including watermelon and jelly doughnut! Definitely the most interesting fudge I have had, and you can tell that there is a lot of time and effort and thought put into each and every product. I purchased the cheddar popcorn (since it is my favorite) and it was delicious. Homemade in shop, and as tasty as ever. The whole shop is such a pleasure- from the variety of gifts and island decor to the AMAZING sweets that are homemade right in the shop. I brought a large group (of 30) for a tour and William was beyond generous by sharing some Matlacha folk lore, and even a ghost story!
