We first met Chuck and the Yamaha rep at the boat show, and they both spent a lot of time with us answering questions and helping us get a better understanding of our options. We actually came back again that Sunday and connected with Scott, who went above and beyond by meeting with us after hours to walk through the boat in more detail and answer even more questions. That level of commitment really stood out to us. Rick in finance made the paperwork side of things easy and straightforward, and Captain Jimmy did our boat demo and helped with some troubleshooting. The price they gave me on my new bike was as good as anything in the state after much negotiation and the sales person was great, However, I can't in all fairness recommend their dealership based on the incredibly bad service experience I had with them (subtract 3 stars from what would have been a 4 star review). Negligence, delays and a pattern of dishonesty marked my single service experience with them. One already documented by other customers on Yelp. The new bike had a whining sound which they all heard and documented. They kept it for 6 weeks, side lining the bike. Every week they had a different story and excuse. Meanwhile the bike sat so long uncovered that is was filthy with dirt and the brake rotors developed rust on them. They tried to tell me this was normal, of course that's a crock. Well they did clean it up but used a harsh solvent that stripped paint from the bottom of the radiator and then clearly used a shop rag to wipe off the wind screen scratching it extensively. On delivering bike to me the driver used the grab strap to hoist bike onto center stand. Happily, he didn't damage the grab strap, since the bike weighs over 500 lb. End result after the lies and hassles, bike still has the same problem which went uncorrected. I have since taken the bike to another dealer for service work since I've lost all faith and confidence in the integrity and competency of this dealership and will never use their service department again for anything, Additionally, as previously mentioned, they never answered their phone and only return 10% of all calls, if that. read more

New toy Saturday was upon us! This place does great business! We live in Orlando and choose to buy our new jet-ski from Cycle Springs. None of the places in Orlando provide the great customer service like Cycle Springs. Our sales rep is Brandon. He sold us our other jet-ski a few years ago. When it came time to upgrade an older ski, we called Brandon again. Honestly he is very responsive and is able to give us an out the door price. They have so many accessories and tons of knowledgeable staff. They sell jet skis, slingshots, boats and motorcycles. I recommend this place if you live in the Tampa Bay or the Central Florida area!! I purchased a new Yamaha boat here a few months ago. The boat was damaged in transport and I was promised a repair. I then proceeded to drive the 200 miles back home. Cycle Springs neglected to grease the bearings in the new trailer resulting in damage. Repairs are promised but they do not return calls. I do not recommend this dealership if you are in the market for any watercraft, etc. find a dealership that will stand behind their product once you walk out the door. This one isn't it. read more

We had purchased the extended warranty, they came out for an issue last year and the mechan was so rude to my husband, he did not want to do his job, he was very disrespectful. this year we had another issue with the boat, they scheduled us for service and the day off they called and moved the date three weeks forward, the day off they did not show up and are avoiding our calls, it's been over a month and we can get them to follow the warranty we paid for. we regret buying a Yamaha and dealing with this agency. we are considering get an attorney if they do not respond. save yourself a ton of headaches and bad manners mechanic. Their retail shop is fine. I have had a good experiences there, but this is a bad review for their service location. I made an appointment and arrived. They didn't have me in for an appointment that I made by phone. So they pushed it to two days later. When entering my info into the computer, he had to ask me 4-5 times how to spell my first name, then last name, then he butchered my phone number and email address. I actually wondered if I should go around and double check it because each time I would say it, he would misduplicate it. I was speaking clearly as well. When showing the guy what I needed replacing he didn't write much down. Based on his computer and duplication skills, I guarantee that he was going to get it all wrong and not have the right contact info to reach out to me. DO NOT USE CYCLE SPRINGS SERVICE DEPT. Took our Polaris in for axle work and new batteries. The Polaris started making noises due to "both brake calipers were left loose and are missing hardware to mount them". The batteries stopped charging due to Cycle Springs not using compatible batteries - per the Polaris Tech Support. Originally we were going to take the unit back to Cycle Springs and spoke to the service mgr Dragon Vuckovic who said send a video which I did - THEY DID NOT CALL ME BACK so we had another dealer pick up the unit and they fixed it. I called the service mgr back and told him about the issues he said that his battery supplier said the batteries would work in our unit - they did not and are not compatible per the Polaris technical report that I sent to him. I was told he would call back the next day but again never did call back. When I called back a few days later I asked for one of the owners (who were there) but was given to the service mgr again who said he would call back the next day. This time he did call back and said the owners said they would refund the wrong batteries they put in the unit. I asked that one of them call me back and they they never did. We contacted them first when we were having issues but never received and call back after sending the video. It is a shame that a authorized dealer would not have the knowledge to sell the correct batteries nor the honesty to make good on their mistake. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!! I purchased a brand new side by side and had it delivered. It arrived defective with headlights not working. Who wants to pay $15k for a side by side without things working properly? Also this machine was in KPH instead of MPH and there's no way to fix this unless you can access the app using the VIN number which is registered to someone else. This is also an issue I inherited that I can't get fixed. I called and called and called and basically got the run around and never to this day have got anything fixed even though it's under warranty. They won't return my calls. If you buy something here and have issues, don't expect them to do ANYTHING about it. It's your problem now. read more

I've been shopping for boats for a little over a month. Called Cycle Springs and talked to Brandon Gimlin. Very nice, respectful and super knowledgeable. He took time out of his busy days to answer a call or text from me (including on his days off). In the end I purchased a different boat because of the lack of communication on Yamahas part regarding when the new 2021's would be making there way to the dealerships. I would absolutely do business with Cycle Springs in the future and more importantly work with Brandon Gimlin. Cannot say enough good things about him. Terrible customer service, rude to customer and the mechanic didn't know what he was doing. Yamaha 2400 generator. I took it in for a tuneup. They say compression was low and need to take it apart to diagnose. They claimed rings were crushed and it is cheaper to buy a new one than to repair. They charged me $200 for diagnosis. Gave me the genny back literally in 50 pieces in a box full of parts, piston out, etc. I discovered through research the genny has a compression valve that releases compression to make it start easy. It closes when it fires. So of course the compression was low unless it was running. But you can't measure the compression through the plug and have it running. The rings were pristine with edges sharp and the crown still intact. They flat out lied that the rings were "crushed" causing the low compression. I had it reassembled and it ran rough. Cleaned carb and it now runs like a champ. So the tuneup I requested was all it needed. On top of it, the owner was rude to me making a smart remark that I hadn't purchased the generator there. I will never buy a Yamaha anything or go back to Cycle Springs. read more

They'll try to say "they match your purchase" but it's a complete ripoff. There are other mechanics in the area for 1/4 of the price. Clutch cable snapped. Towed it here. Dropped it off and 2 weeks later it was finished. Included with the cable was fixing a recall and new spark plugs. They also cleaned my chain. Jed was great to work with. He was kind and listened and I couldn't really of had a better experience here. The only thing that would have been better is if it would not have taken two weeks to fix. However, Jed can't fix that. He can only relay what the mechanics are doing It would be 5 stars if they would have returned it back to me much quicker. Store is clean and lots to look through in their parking lot. Shop rate was $99 an hour. Parts were priced fairly. I would return. It is the closest authorized dealer for my moto. read more

I honestly didn't want to write this review but... I bought a pre-owned motorcycle from them. Paid cash and walked out a pretty happy customer. A week after the purchase the transmission went out on the bike. I wrote them and told them the situation, they told me that they needed me to bring the bike in so they can look at it. I live 2 hours away and don't really have the time to bring the bike to them and sit there for a couple hours while they take a look at it. I'm mechanically inclined so I wrote them and asked them to give me an email quote for a third gear transmission repair. They told me that they can't give a quote without seeing it. I was willing to pay for whatever repair. After the email, I told them what I believe was wrong with it and that I could just use the quote and they never responded. I bought my 2016 Kawasaki Vulcan S and had all services done here. My last service was the 7.5k (change spark plugs, oil change, etc.). This was cheap either ($554). My last ride, he bike wasn't firing right and I did the sensible thing, pulled over and had it rolled to the nearest shop (Tampa Powersports). The said "whoever did your service didn't do it correctly because the ignition coils weren't installed right." The cost $168 including $50 towing fee. I called Paul at Cycle Springs Powersports and forwarded him the invoice. Needless to say, he didn't own up for the mistake. He tried to explain that his tech did service right since I was able to ride 2.5k without any problems. Well Paul, I rode 7.5k since I bought he bike from factory without any problems until spark plugs were replaced. I was able to ride 2.5k doesn't mean it was done correctly because the ignition coils came off before my next service. I have politely waited for a resolution from Cycling Springs, but I don't think one is coming since a week has passed an no response. I'll gladly pay for this invoice and never come back to this place for anything else. It's a real shame because I was planning to purchase one of the Yamaha Jetboats that I have been wanting. Cycling Springs is the only dealership with these boats around. No Thank you. You have lost my business for life. read more

I recommend buying from Scott with zero reservations. I've never had a better experience buying anything in my life. Longer review: We bought a new 2019 Yamaha watercraft from him (242X). Here's how our experience went... My family and I decided on a Yamaha jetboat and e-mailed a few top-rated dealers we identified though Yamaha's website. Scott immediately stood out. His very first response was timely, personalized and indicated care to connect potential customers with the right boat for them to have a good time on the water (this would only become more evident as the deal progressed). He is passionate about what he does and demonstrated top-rate integrity. Scott is a positive guy who goes above and beyond. And then some. From the get-go I informed Scott that this deal would probably be a less typical sale because I am an international buyer (personal use) and that this sale would probably entail a bit of extra work as the boat would have to be exported to Doha, Qatar. Scott's response: "No worries my man - we'll find a way". I trade for a living, which probably helps identify a fair and honest systems player when I come across one. When we asked for the out-the-door price, we got a super fair price such that we saw no need to negotiate. So we didn't. First time I experience this. The first price that was offered - we knew was fair from research before hand - and that is what we paid. Zero additional costs, only extra goods and support (more on that below). I called Scott, to ask whether he had the exact specs we were looking for (red boat), and he was totally open and honest about the situation: they had one in stock, but someone had put down a deposit, though the other customer was still deciding between this and another boat. Scott suggested a few solutions that would be fair to us all, and though I had found another boat at another dealer, I knew that I wanted to be Scott's customer so we put down a deposit. We decided that we'd order a new boat, which arrived less than a week later (Scott under-promises & over-delivers). Once the boat arrived, I wired the remaining balance, Scott & his colleagues expedited preparing the boat so that it could be delivered swiftly to make it to port in time to catch a ship. Scott went above and beyond: he arranged for a driver to transport the boat from Clearwater to Fort Lauderdale at a highly discounted rate, threw in an insane amount of equipment for free, cleaned, covered the boat, and delivered it on time. What's more - he kept us updated at all times and answered so many questions by phone and by e-mail, always with great & positive enthusiasm. What a guy. I'm on the other side of the world (literally) and next time I'm asked for a recommendation, or if I'm on the market again for a watercraft - I'll ask Scott Ellis.
