As passionate travelers who have cycled over 10 countries, we were looking forward to experiencing Portugal in July which we booked through CycloMundo. However, the overall experience was marred by the inadequate support and care provided by the subcontractor, Portugal Nature Trails and a related further subcontractor to Portugal Nature Trails. We believe that customer service is vital to any business, and our experience has fallen short of what we expected from Cyclmundo. We believe that future customers be informed about our journey and the issues we faced, and continue to face, from the lack of support from your Cyclomundo, Portugal Nature Trails, and their subcontractors. The specifics of our problems began with pick up in Lisbon by a Portugal Nature Trails subcontractor. The subcontractor dropped the bikes and us off at another town without adjusting one of the bikes, so one of us was riding on a "children's bike" on hills for two days prior to Portugal Nature Trails sending out a repair technician. Cyclmundo told us that we needed to contact Portugal Nature Trails who did not respond to our calls over a weekend and on a Monday. Portugal nature Trails did apologize and Cyclmundo did refund the price of one bike rental. However, since that time Cyclmundo is refused to even communicate with us. It should be noted, in our opinion, that CycloMundo and Portugal Nature Trails, among other international biking companies, are engaging in "bait and switch" which is illegal in the United States. The term "bait and switch" typically refers to a deceptive marketing practice where a seller advertises a service at a price to attract customers (the "bait"), but then uses a service (the "switch") which is not provided by the seller. Specifically, we mistakenly thought we were paying for a service from CycloMundo having never heard of Portugal Nature Trails. We cannot, based on the facts, recommend either company. Additionally, our advice is to know who is supporting and providing the service. read more

We recently did the Dordogne trip with 8 people and it was great! It was the first bicycling tour for my husband and I but all the others in the group have done others. The cycling routes were filled with amazing villages as well as a number of tourist sites to visit if you wanted to. Because it was such beautiful countryside, at times we got confused on the directions, but between the turn sheets and the GPS, we always figured it out. There were hills but nothing really steep, You do have to earn those beautiful views! The hotels and meals were wonderful. The bikes were good. We are already planning our next tour with Cyclomundo!! We had the most wonderful vacation this past fall with Cyclomundo. There were 8 of us who toured the Dordogne region of France. Every day we cycled past castles and gorgeous little villages. Our accomodations were fabulous, the food was magnificent and the sites were incredible. Every day as we were cycling our luggage was moved and was awaiting us at the next hotel. The bikes were light, comfortable and well maintained. Bruno, our leader, was so helpful and was always there for us! He is so easy going and has a great sense of humor. This was one of the best vacations ever! Close competition was our cycling trip throughout Provence with Cyclomundo years ago. We're actually in the process of planning another trip with Cyclomundo to Catalonia, Spain this fall. Looking forward to more great cycling and lots of laughs! read more
