This was the best sip and paint experience I ever had!! The owners were extremely accommodating! We threw a surprise Birthday Party for our Soror and they had pink & green napkins, cups, decor for us all ready!!! Very nice! They guided us step by step in our paintings and modified as we all wanted different hair styles as you can see! Simply amazing! Owners W.B. and Cynthia are such warm, friendly and fun people! So.... accommodating from our pre party planning, day of assistance and during the party itself! I co organized a surprise party for a friend and we had a barnyard theme. Cynthia went above and beyond... Provided a bouquet of big beautiful barnyard animal mylar balloons, matching themed plates, napkins, tablecloths and utensils and the wine glasses and cups!! Went there to celebrate a birthday and everyone had a blast. They had all the birthday decorations setup when we entered. They provided cupcakes, meat and cheese platter, bottle water, Birthday balloons, plates, utensils and glassware. The drawing was stenciled lightly on the canvas. This was such an amazing experience. I attended the Paint your Pet event with my mom and cousin and we all loved it! WB makes art enjoyable and fun for everyone. We celebrated my niece's birthday yesterday at Cynthia's Artistic Expression. We painted silhouette mermaids against a purple and blue sunset. It was a private event just for family and friends. Cynthia and WB were such kind and gracious hosts who helped us each create a unique painting. Amazing experience from booking to the actual session! We took our niece to Cynthia's for a private paint party to celebrate her 17th Birthday and our expectations were exceeded. During our initial conversation to discuss details about the party I found myself engaged in pleasant conversation with Cynthia. Her warm and genuine tone was so welcoming. We did not want to do a previously painted picture so they were kind enough to create a design for personally for us. Prior to arriving I received notifications reminding me of the time,location, and directions. Upon arrival we were greeted by the owners. They were both wearing mask as we were directed to as well. The paint room was very clean and even decorated for our birthday celebration. We were allowed to check out the art work and get some education on the different painting styles. There was music playing in the background and we were asked our preference of music. One of the instructors explained what we would be doing exactly and broke it down step by step. He allowed us to take our time and while we were working they both checked to make sure we didn't need any help and we were on track. I have NEVER painted and I was skeptical about how it would turn out, but it was pretty good. My 7 year old even painted a really awesome picture and has never picked up a brush! So anyone can do it! Here are some things you should know about Cynthia's Artistic Expressions: - They Care. Owners Cynthia and her husband WB opened this business because they want to share their passion with others. They don't have a squad of part time art students cleaning brushes and punching the clock. - Group classes/lessons are mostly taught by co-owner and gifted painter WB. WB is self taught painter who has used painting to channel and heal his PTSD from time spent in the Navy. He has the ability to talk to you on your "level" as an artist which I think comes from fact that he learned to paint later in life and seems fearless about trying new techniques/styles of painting. You will be blown away by his story and his (very diverse) portfolio of originals that fill the walls of the studio. - Personal Attention. WB and Cynthia and staff will keep an eye on you and help as much of as little as you need. (Unlike many paint and sip babysitters who just want to get done w paint by numbers and leave). We had a wonderful afternoon relaxing, and enjoying painting our bikes with baskets of flowers! W.B. led our class, taking us through each section, teaching us how to apply and blend the colors, how to add shading and light areas to bring movement and make things pop! He also showed us some basics so we could creatively fill our flower baskets with lots of flowers! He was a kind, joy-filled, patient and skilled teacher, encouraging us and assisting us as we went along! I also love the painting that we chose - something that I will display versus hiding it away like the paintings from other paint events. Booked a small private lesson with my parents and girlfriend as a Christmas present. We all had an absolutely wonderful time and were very proud of our creations. My parents were a little nervous coming-in but both exclaimed that it was the best piece of art they'd ever made. Cynthia and her husband had a perfect set-up for us when we arrived with snacks laid out, cups and a place for our wine, and all of the supplies we needed. They were very fun and sweet and a great couple to spend a couple hours with. The instruction we received was the perfect balance of giving us our own space to be creative but with guidance and the occasional couple brush strokes of help when needed.
