After circling around twice, I settled on KFC because the Twister wrap looked good. The line was a bit confusing so I did not know where to wait to order, so that was my fault. When it was my turn, I showed the employee a picture of Twister on the menu. He then asked me in Turkish if I wanted drink and fries, I think, but I didn't really understand, so I gestured no. He proceeded with giving me a cup of soda and fries. I am not sure if the wrap comes with it, but I was thankful. The order was very quick and I said thank-you in my broken Turkish to the same gentleman. When I tried the wrap it was delicious! The chicken was tender inside and the batter was crispy outside. I liked the combination of the dressing inside with the overall food texture. Fries were crispy and pretty light in my opinion. And soda is--well--soda. After eating, I used Google Translate to help me translate from English to Turkish and wrote a thank-you note on a napkin for the employees. I thanked them for being nice and helping me with my first Turkish KFC order. They smiled and were very happy, gave me thumbs up.
Delicious!!!
This is how I ordered, I showed the employee this picture lol

Although we did not have a common language, the man who helped me was very friendly about my irregular order of one of half a dozen different types of sweets. He also gave me a free sample of one type of sweet that I hadn't chosen. Unfortunately I didn't learn the names of anything I bought, so I still don't know what we tasted, but it was all rather interesting. Nothing was so amazing that I felt I absolutely had to figure out what it was called so that I could look up a recipe later. It was quite affordable. Stop by if you happen to be in the area, but certainly don't make a trip just to visit the shop.

We stumbled upon this place while walking through Karakoy, and couldn't have been happier. I loved pretty much everything I had, but the Turkish Ravioli, stuffed grape leaves, and Kofte were a few of the highlights. Wine was good, and I tried Raki as I had never had it before. Staff was gracious, food was delicious, and outdoor patio had a great vibe. We went for lunch and it was empty, and returned the next day for dinner and it was packed. We couldn't get a seat; so if you are interested in dinner, make reservations. Get the soufflé for dessert!

The offal was good if you like that sort of thing). Desserts included a crunchy pumpkin sweet and a tahini soufflé (must have!). Service was wonderful. The restaurant itself is modern and trendy, with a great heated patio in front. Definitely a place to unwind and relax after a day of touring the sites of Karakoy, Eminonu and Sultanahmet!

The meat is super juicy and doesn't have the same gamey taste that is present at a lot of the other doner joints throughout the city. They also provide plenty of bread, toppings, and sauces. Despite its popularity, we didn't have to wait at all--the restaurant is enormous and has plenty of space for everyone, and any party size. It's a great place to sit and chat with friends, or grab a late-night snack (which is what we were doing). I'd highly recommend checking it out if you have the time!

The menu is deceptively simple- doner served either with rice or in a thin flatbread wrap in 3 sizes- small, medium and large. But the flavors are out of this world! We also to got a plate of fries/patates tava, and they were delicious with the doner. The service was prompt and professional. We washed our meal down with Ayran, and complimentary tea.
