I used to be member but I never met a veteran there but I never met another veteran - maybe I went at the wrong times. One day I was cutting through their parking lot with a shopping cart full of groceries when a DAV employee(she was bartending at the time) ........yelled at me "Hey Get Out of Our Trash" I yelled back " I'm not in your trash, I'm just cutting through - I've got receipts for e everything here," then she said "Well Stay Off Our Property!" I kept on going and have never been back. Although I have noticed since maybe 4 or 5 months ago, they no longer have "free" Wednesdays - where those who were not members could join in or visit. read more
