I heard a leaking hiss, and found a pinhole leak, from one of the main water lines so I turned the water supply off and did a temporary patch to the leak. I had worked on the system before, but it was at it's end of life, and needed to be replaced. Meinholz serviced my septic pump. The employee completed removing and replacing the septic pump in…read more40 minutes. However, the billing was very dishonest. 1. I was charged for 1.5 hours after 40 minutes of work. I called the company, and the owner said that was for fuel expenses. 2. They installed an EP0411A Goulds Effluent Pump with a Piggyback/Wide-Angle Floatswitch, valued at $520.57 on Amazon. They charged $750. 3. They charged me for an additional float switch when one comes with the pump--$120. 4. They charged me $25 for $5 worth of fittings: one reducer, one coupling, and one foot of 2" pipe. I am not here to gouge businesses, but this is about a 38% markup of reality, in my opinion. Perhaps it is inflation. I will be looking elsewhere and advise you to do the same.
