We stopped briefly at a dollar store to grab a couple of things and the engine started misfiring and the check engine light came on! We were nearly 300 miles from home. Nearly the same from the nearest dealership! But it seemed to be running semi smoothly above 2,000 rpm, so proceed the 20 miles to our next camping destination and take it from there. It was Saturday afternoon. We will get nothing done until Monday, so we might as well relax. Over Sunday, I checked on local auto repair businesses. I found a first choice. Went there Monday morning, first thing. There was a for sale sign up and it was locked up. Came across a second, quite by accident, but their ODBC tester had been stolen. Also the shop was FULL of dust covered cars, just sitting there in various by states of disrepair and disassembly. They recommended that I go to the local O'Rilley's and have them diagnose the problem. He got out his pocket sized tester and informed me there was an ignition problem with the number four cylinder, maybe the plug, maybe the coil, but "Cactus Jack's Auto Repair" had the best ODBC tester in town and they also had a "crackerjack mechanic". I drove over there and met "Kris". I instantly felt a whole lot more hopeful. He got out his big ODBC tester and confirmed that the number four cylinder was the problem. It was at least the plug (I was due for new plugs anyway) and probably the coil too. He said he could have the parts by Tuesday at two. I showed up at the appointed time and two and a half hours later I was back on the road, running like a dream. I experienced only sound, confident, competent, professionalism. I would feel comfortable taking this car, or any other vehicle to Cactus Jack's for ANY mechanical issue. Solid, honest customer service, at its finest. I highly recommend this establishment

To confirm my appointment, I forgot to get details on brake shoe pad replacement and the safety rules.. I realized the holiday left my budget in a wreck and I was forced to reschedule. I didn't catch the lady's name, yet she was very awesome to talk to, and I mentioned about the Yelp Review so here I am.. I have to save up to get a NEW set of tires, and get an alignment job as budget permits. The Rotors were replaced by the previous owner, and in good shape. Yet as a big guy, the driver side pads were wearing down to the squealers.. I had another local shop swap out the pads I bought, checked the rotors and they were in good shape. One thing to note, CALL the shop for what is required for safety, and have enough funds to cover the cost! Better call this shop and or have a price plan. Most shops want to make sure your vehicle is safe to drive. Please don't cut corners! Make sure you have a budget plan, and funding to cover any needs the technicians may find... Better safe than sorry. I give this shop 5 stars for professional phone skills, and the shop has a nice waiting room.. IMHO.. They are easy to find and nearby some good food places.. KUDOS! I plan to return next year to have my Buick realigned and if possible the REAR brakes checked as well.. THANK YOU! Good Luck! Didnt make sense, so went inside and was told by Stephany Gardner that we asked for a tire rotation, which we did not since the new tires were put on two weeks ago, and that prices have gone up. Service advisor Stephany Gardner was dismissive with regards to.my questions and walked away as if she had better things to do, acted as if she didnt care that we paid $96.71 for an oil change with the Discount Card. We bought our car here and with the way the Service Advisor treated me, we are done with this service department and dealership because of this experience. I have a free one next time and will make sure nothing but an oil change is done! Also, three days later the interior smells like shop grease.

I picked it up on wednesday and the car had more noise than when i first left it for repairs. Also my speedometer didnt work my cruise didnt work either anymore, my steering was hard and it sounded like my wheel was fixing to fall off. The pops and noises I took it in for were still there and worse. They told me to take it back in so they could see what happened. They called me and told me that they found a broken wire that was broken while putting the shalf in. But they didnt check the noise on my car cause he said they didnt have time. I told them i was going out of town and i was afraid of the noise that felt like tire was fixing to fall off. Waltrr said that they couldnt check it and i didnt have any option then go out of town in it with fear the wheel would come off. I called them back after i got back from dallas the next week on Thursday and walter said he they didn't have time to fix my car. He said i could take it the next week to get it looked at if i wanted it looked at so i had no choice but make an appointment. Scott was gonna try to fix it then. I had told them i had a doctor appointment the next day and was afraid to drive it but walter didnt care one way or another. I took it to Brownwood Glass and Alignment and they made time to fix it for me and tighten the loose screws the were loose on cv halfshaft. They did not charge me one cent. Absolutely nothing had been done after 6 weeks. Does this guy even know how to deal with insurance companies or order parts? Never again! I took my truck to another body shop in town. They looked at the damage, said they would coordinate with the insurance company, and order the parts. Then I was advised that it would take about a week to finish it up. Wish I had gone to these guys first. I cannot believe that the owner did not even have the common decency to let me know that he had no intention of repairing my truck. I had to give one star in order for the review to post or I would not have given that.
