I would not use him again for furniture restoration however I still am happy with my upholstery items.

Total cost for two chairs is $460. Job took two weeks plus additional three days to correct an error on the material. As I internalize self reprimand for being lazy (I could have done it myself for three weeks and for slightly less considering I have tools), I admire their craftsmanship. Am just a little upset because I had to work on another pick-up week that was inconvenient for my already hectic schedule. Bring your chair and canvas for pricing - you are not obligated if you disagree with cost. I want to emphasize, upholstery was done with care and skill. The crew was helpful and friendly. Another important note, if you have your own fabric or leather to use, this can save you at least $70 per square yard.

Forty minutes later I arrive at the place and they were closed, even though their website says they are open on Thursdays. Turns out, this place is in a run down area of town that when you exit your vehicle, you definitely want to be aware of your surroundings. The store front was all dirty and dusty. Could hardly see thru the glass with all the dirt. Quite frankly, after seeing where they were located and the condition of their store front, I was kind of glad they were closed. I brought him the chair and he took the cushion off and quoted me a price to recover all the seats. I needed to order fabric and he kept the seat and told me to come back with the fabric and remaining box cushions. I have tried to reach my by email and phone to set up the appt. to drop off the remaining cushions and fabric. I finally reached him after neglected to respond to voice mail message and emails. Since he is not always at the business, I called several time to confirm he was there before I drove to Arnold. He never responded to my calls. after five days I was able t reach him from a phone number he does not know. He refused to discuss when I could drop off the fabric and cushions or leaving the cushion he has so I can get it back . He hung up on me. I had a friend call and he refused to talk about the cushion or make any availability so we could come and get it. Stating he will call when he is ready? I just want my cushion back. He is holding it as hostage. This is crazy behavior when trying to do business with someone. If anyone knows Doyle Bailey and can help get my cushion back I would greatly appreciate it.

I inherited an ancestor's pressed oak rocking chair that I wanted to restore, which included…read moreremaking an arm that was lost somewhere along the way. Sheryl made all the arrangements for it through email so all I needed to do was drop it off. On the day of drop off, Jeff looked at it and seemed excited to see it restored, which impressed me and made me comfortable in my choice. He suggested adding a cushion but I wanted crewel needlework fabric like the original seat I remembered, which I assumed they wouldn't have. Jeff stated that he knew someone that might be able to help and made a phone call. Moments later, photos of fabrics were sent and I had a crewel pattern selected. So the estimate was adjusted to include a reupholstered seat with springs and seat foam. Approximately 8 weeks later, my rocker was ready and I'm delighted with the outcome. This rocker has been handed down through my family and will go on to my children and their children. It's an investment in our family history and the care Jeff's team took to restore it is admirable. It could have been "just another rocking chair" to them, but Jeff appreciates the historical significance of family heritage and the respect for furniture that has survived the Civil War era and beyond. I strongly recommend Jeff and his team to return your heirlooms to their days of glory.
