    Fence
    Brian B.

Met with Dale, the owner of the company. We performed a walk-through of the site. He provided a quote at the time of the walk-through. They started about a month later. They installed a redwood fence around the front, part of the property including two large gates, and one small gate. The project took about 10 days to get done. I took away one star only because Dale tends to spread himself thin on too many projects which I think is why my project took so long to get done. Also, additional debris was left behind after they did their cleanup that I had to take to the dump myself. Other than that, it was a good installation. See the photos.

Got this companies number though another contractor I used. Dale is honest and upfront. Knew my concerns and addressed them. He was able to locate my property lines without me hiring a surveyor which saved me money. We had a contract for a certain foot of fence. He built 20 more feet and didn't charge me. Thank you, amazing work, amazing staff and an amazing outcome.

I was quoted one price and was then informed that I needed something else with a different price when the installers came out.the price went up $1200 when the installers came out to inspect prior to the project getting started. I explained what I wanted when I spoke with the rep and was quoted something else. The company does not attempt to hear customers out. Their response is "page 6 of the contract you signed." It's pointless to speak with them about anything. I should have went with another company after waiting for almost two hours for someone to get back with me the day of my install but I was tired of looking for someone to do my fence. The fence was supposed to be out in the found but thy did not happen and there is still space at the bottom. I wanted to update my review since Peta, escalation manager reached out to me to try to rectify the situation. Peta sent me a gift basket and submitted a refund of $600 with the hopes that I will take my review down. I informed her that thanks for that but I will not take my review down. On the contrary, a day after speaking and receiving text messages from Peta. I noticed that cats were getting in my backyard and was wondering how. I went to my backyard only to find two pieces of my fence missing. I reached out to Peta via text and still have not received a response. My fence was completed on 7/16. How could it already get broken. This is insane to me when I was informed the wood is sturdy.

Perimeter 1 Fencing did a fantastic job fencing off my property the way I had envisioned it…read more Fencing off the property was no easy task as there were quite a few elevation changes and obstacles. That didn't stop Colton and his crew from making short work of the job. The fencing was installed quickly and professionally. DO NOT HIRE - Abandoned Job and Breached Contract. I highly advise against hiring Colton Siesser…read moreand Perimeter 1 Fencing. They rushed our job, botched the installation, and ultimately breached our contract by ghosting us when asked to fix their mistakes. The Quality Issues:From day one, the crew rushed through the job. This resulted in a laundry list of issues, including:Structural Failure: Within weeks, the gate latch fell completely off, the gate post became loose/wobbly, and the gate began sagging so badly it barely closes.Damaged Materials: A main post split from top to bottom. They tried to fix it with wood filler, but it immediately re-split. Terrible Aesthetics: They left black paint overspray on our wooden fence. When confronted, Colton told me he "thinks it looks cool" and refused to fix it. They also took shortcuts on the front spacing, which they only fixed after being forced to. Carelessness: They ignored sprinkler locations until reminded, drilled a drop-pin hole too small to actually function, and left sharp metal debris on the gate that posed an injury hazard. The Breach of Contract & Ghosting: Colton promised in writing on July 15, 2026, to return and fix the sagging gate and split post. Instead, he completely ignored six texts, multiple emails, and phone calls over the next three weeks. On August 16, my husband called Colton from an unrecognized number. Colton actually answered (proving he was intentionally screening my calls). He admitted to my husband that he ghosted us because he thought I was "being too picky" about a broken, significantly compromised gate. He promised my husband he would call me to schedule the repairs. He broke that promise too, and has completely ghosted both of us since August 25. Current Status:Perimeter 1 Fencing has officially abandoned this job. I have filed a formal complaint with the Contractors State License Board and am planning on taking Colton to Small Claims Court to recover damages. Save yourself the massive headache and hire a professional who stands by their work. *From a distance the fence looks good after the aesthetic issues were addressed (took multiple visits) but functionally the gate does not open or close without banging the opposite side and scratching it all up. We must physically lift one side of the gate to cause the other side to close. A mechanical mess.

A second pressure-treated fence post has rotted in my Ergeon fence. Pressure-treated lumber should…read morelast 10 to 15 years, if not longer. As with the first rotted post, which Ergeon replaced while the fence was still under warranty last year, the concrete footing appears not to have been properly sloped to shed water. This post is located in an area that gets wet only when it rains, yet it has still rotted. The problem appears to be a defect in the original installation, exactly like the post approximately eight feet away that Ergeon replaced under warranty. Ergeon's subcontractors may work quickly, but my fence suggests that speed does not translate into quality workmanship. When I contacted Ergeon, I was told the post was outside the warranty period. When I expressed my disappointment that Ergeon would not take responsibility for what appears to be an installation defect, I was then told that Ergeon no longer replaces individual posts and instead replaces entire fence panels. Perhaps that policy is intended to discourage customers from pursuing relatively minor repairs. It certainly seems like a convenient way to turn a defective post into a much larger repair at the customer's expense. I politely declined to pay for an unnecessary full-panel replacement. A few weeks later, I received a message from Juan asking whether I was available between 1 pm and 3 pm on August 5 for an Ergeon representative to address the post. I replied that I was surprised to hear from him after previously being told that Ergeon would replace only the entire panel. I confirmed that I was available and asked for additional information about the work. No response. I followed up again this morning. Still no response. One o'clock came and went. Then three o'clock. No representative arrived, and no one contacted me. Ergeon appears to rely on a seemingly endless supply of new customers rather than supporting the customers it already has. That's a remarkably shortsighted business model. Most residential properties have at least three fenced sides. A customer who hires Ergeon to install one section of fencing could easily return for the remaining sections, provided the company delivers quality work and stands behind it. There's also the matter of referrals. After my fence was installed, a handful of neighbors asked for Ergeon's contact information. I've since told my neighbors that, Ergeon may not be the best choice for a fence installation - based on my experience. I hope this review gives you a healthy warning about Ergeon. It may not affect Ergeon's bottom line, but prospective customers deserve to know how the company handles apparent installation defects, warranty concerns, and scheduled service visits that simply don't happen.
