Interestingly, there are 2 positive reviews that are Not reccamended on Yelp. That is because the owner created them. I hired this business in the spring. He took my $600 and made promises to have all information by the end of 30 days, as I had hired him just to verify something. During the next 28 days, I was called once, and sent a few emails stating he was very busy "investigating". At the end of 26 days, he called, and tried to pressure me into purchasing $1,000 worth of more services from him. He said " his time slots were quickly filling up for the month of June, so I needed to make my decision quickly". I said I needed to wait the weekend. He also said he had verified my info, but said he had no camera on him at the time. Well, two days later he admitted he ACTUALLY never verified the information, that he had said it out of desperation I told him I would be immediately terminating his services and he was no longer needed. He started yelling at me through the phone and said I was damaging his business. I hung up on him, and later emailed him, asking for a printout of exactly how my 10 hours purchased were spent. He refused to give it to me, as he responded back by email, then he threatened to call my misdemeanor probation officer and the police on me even though I had done nothing wrong. I have saved every email from him, so I have proof of this. Not only that, I discovered months later, he had told multiple people ALL of my personal information and specifics of our business deal. Established in 2004.

D.L. Investigating, started here in Idaho in March of 2004. Since it's conception, it has been involved in many investigations including Cult Investigations and several missing persons cases. Our primary workload is made up of Child Custody battles and Infidelity Cases (Cheater's) Through the years we have grown stronger and developed many other skills with regards to our trade and positive application in the Investigative Industry. We continue to work at improving our commitment to excellence by handling all of our client's cases with care and compassion. Remember, HONOR and INTEGRITY is our pledge to our clients and will always be. The owner of D.L. Investigating is currently the President of The Private Investigators Association of Idaho and has been recognized by Governor Butch Otter for his agencies help with finding the missing.

Meet the Business Owner: Dan L.

Our founder was born and raised in southern California. There he developed a passion for criminal justice and forensic science. He pursued a career in law enforcement, with a goal of joining the FBI. After going to college in Ventura, CA., he applied for a position with the LA sheriff's department. He soon found out that due to his having asthma, he would not be accepted. He then finished his study of criminology and criminal justice and decided to explore other options. After many years in another field, he decided to pursue the Investigation business. With his knowledge of the law and the criminal justice system and an extreme autodidact, He went on to found D.L. Investigating, and has been a successful Private Investigator ever since. Daniel Landis is currently the President of the Private Investigators Association of Idaho formed in 2008. Our owner has just signed a development contract to star in a television series about private investigation.

We urge all to not use Yelp as a source for anything regarding any business. This company Yelp, with a quick google search will inform you quite well of just how they operate. Basically, it's like extortion. If you pay for ads or space, you will have all negative reviews removed. Even if our reviews were written by someone who never used our services and who ended up in jail and created over 4 different accounts on this Yelp site, it won't matter. Yelp places their reviews and it is up to your Company to pay to have them removed, or better yet improved. Please google it, conduct a few minutes of due diligence and you may just see how Yelp works, and by all means, do not use Yelp. I am a retired FBI Agent who needed work completed for a client in Eagle Idaho. On June 11 2018 I spoke with Dan Landis the owner of the company and told him my needs and that there was a deadline of June 15. Landis told me he would handle the task and have it completed the following day June 12. On the 12th he e mailed me and apologized but assured me the task would be completed no later than Thursday June 14 or Friday June 15. This morning June 15 he e mailed me and notified me that he had a conflict and could not complete the task. Very unprofessional! If you want your dirty slimy cheating husband caught and solid evidence so he can't weasel his way out of it again and again, CALL THESE GUY'S!!!!!! Many thanks for giving me my life back. D.L. INVESTIGATING is the better of the investigators I have hired in the past who stuck lousy GPS units on his car ( which come to find out from my attorney is illegal) and they never got a single photo or even saw the jerk! I needed to track to down an old roommate to help resolve an old joint debt. I had tried for years to find her. The P.I. was very friendly and informative. He was able to find my roommate in just a few weeks without a lot of information and I was able to get her served.
