The nail tech/ owner ignored all my request and did what ever she wanted to do, there was also a language barrier and I asked multiple times, tried to show her what was the problem to fill my sides with acrylic and gel polish but didn't. They have just went under new management by Catherine that owned the salon a whileee ago, and she's back(!!), doing fantastic services and making you feel pleasant and happy at the same time!! She is so nice and accommodating, willing to help and explaining the services & prices without feeling pressured to spend more, and i appreciate that. She makes it very relaxed. I got my toes done over a month ago and they still look great, no chipping!! I tried this place and really enjoyed my experience. Lynn did my manicure and eye brows and Rose did my pedicure. I would recommend them! Lynn was very attentive to my nails and made sure I got what I needed. I originally wanted hybrid gel but most places don't have that. She still made my nails great and I loved them. Rose did a classic pedicure and it was fantastic! It was fairly priced ($30) and I love that they time the massage and do a hot stone massage on the classic! That bumped them to 5! Made a cold call just to see if they're open during COViD season and glad they were. Conveniently located between Subway and 7-11 on Euclid and Katella, we immediately noticed white tents in front of the salon for the outdoor/tented "express" manicure. We entered and was ushered immediately to the sink area so we can wash our hands and "disinfect". There are plexi glass shields attached to the massage chair and visible hand sanitizers in every corner. Social distancing was observed and the ladies were all wearing gloves and masks. Place seems very clean and obviously adhering to safety pandemic precautions. Jenny did my pedicure and she was efficient and friendly. Paid $38 for deluxe pedicure which includes hot stone leg massage, callous removal and orange scented scrub plus nail polish. My husband was also happy with his foot massage. I wanted a 'milk' color and that color was chosen but the nail tech added 4 coats that made my nails look white. I spoke up and she got upset with me, raised her voice & started speaking in her language. She pulled my hand pretty roughly after that & it hurt, so I jolted and she gave me a dirty look. My first time at D'Vine was not a very positive experience but I decided to give them another try because they reached out to me and offered to make it right. I must admit that my second time was better. Nina reached out to me after a bad experience and offerred to redo my nails. After looking at other peoples review, i saw that Nina is the one to go to for pretty nails so i gave her a try. I must say... Nina is very talented! However, because she is so good she is often fully booked therefore its harder to catch her for an appointment :/ just prepare to wait when you come in for Nina. Its hard to give this place a full 5 stars because i have to say... the reviews about the cleanliness about this place, are right. Unlike other nail salons, i also notice that they use the same tools across all their customers. Absolute worst salon ever. It's interesting because this salon looks very upscale and nice, but the nail techs are not. First of all, i genuinely understand that when i go to a salon there may be a language barrier. However, most of these women barely know any English what so ever. It makes ur very hard to communicate anything. For example: The woman who did my toes filed them down (with a nail drill) so low that i have a bruise on my toe. Not only that, when i tried communicating that it was hurting she didn't understand and continued to burn me with how Hot it was and cut the cuticle areas in my toes. Generally i am not picky with my toes because i just want them to look presentable. My toes are cut up, sore, and have messy nail polish all over them. As for the owner who replies to negative reviews with snarky comments, please do not defend someone who did such an awful job. We were greeted upon arriving and since I wanted both a manicure and pedicure there were two ladies working on me at the same time which was super nice to help cut down on the time. I got a pedicure and a full set with a mani to clean up my cuticles. It was awful. I believe the woman who did my full set was named Vickie. I showed her a picture of the shape I wanted for my nails. She completely ignored it and argued with me when I asked for her to adjust or change the shape she was giving me. Vickie also repeatedly cut my left hands ring finger cuticle over and over again with her unclean dremel tools. She left my nails ugly, uneven lengths, worse cuticles than what I came in with, and with a hefty bill of $120. Don't come here. Literally go anywhere else. This shop shouldn't be open and as a California state licensed cosmetologist I know the actual extent of how unclean and unprofessional this shop is. read more

I love this place! They're nice and the quality is amazing. The first picture was the first time I got my nails done at D'Vine and haven't gotten my nails done in ages! I had the guy do my nails. He was very precise and made sure all the nails were aligned perfectly and the coats were good, etc. The only thing was I asked for shorter and ended up having my nails a bit too long for my taste. But I still loved the outcome. I had purple and white sparkly coffin nails. And then the next two pictures was finished not even 2 minutes ago. This time I had the younger woman do my nails. Also super nice and precise with my nails. I had a new full set and I absolutely love the color and everything. Definitely not disappointed. But she didn't ask if I wanted the oil or lotion though. This nail spa was so convenient to go. It was a nice setting and my nail tech was super friendly. Good music playing and they have a big screen tv which helped time go by faster. I got a gel acrylic manicure with a coffin shape. Price was good however there was a discount for the grand opening so regular prices are to proceed after this week is what I was told. Only giving 4 stars because I have scabs around my cuticles and during the service I felt a strong sting on one of my fingers. It was pretty painful and when I told the tech she said she couldn't see anything. It wasn't until a day after that I could clearly see the scab. Other than that there were no issues. read more

My friend and I often used this spa as our go to for awhile. My friend lives out of town so the times we get our nails done together is pretty important that they're done well. my friend will be stuck with them for at least two weeks after, because I'm usually the one who's able to spoil her with this expense. We're not overwhelmingly picky and we both don't like to complain. Before this incident we never even felt the need to say anything. I came in for a deluxe pedicure and my friend got the same with the add on of a new Full set of acrylics (gel on both for her.) my pedicure was with normal polish. Both of our pedicures came out good. An older lady with glasses was doing my friend's acrylic nails. And the entire experience with this woman was frustrating to say the least. I don't know if she was simply just new at applying acrylic but she sized my friends nails wrong, proceeded to cut them shorter then my friend said she'd like. Filed 3 of them crooked. And applied way too much acrylic powder. My friend was telling her that she didn't like the length and was pointing out the crooked nails far before this woman laid down the acrylic powder. I was next to my friend this whole time seeing this go downhill. The nails where also clumpy and this tech spent so much time aggressively filing away saying to "trust me the shape will be nice" that she wasn't listening to my friend at all. It even seemed like she was getting upset that my friend didn't like the job the tech was doing. The tech was huffing and filing the sides aggressively every time my friend showed me the progress or lack thereof. To the point my friend actually pulled her hand back because this woman was hurting her at this point. To put this in perspective we got there at 3pm. We left at 5:30pm. This tech was filing at my friend's nails for this long. After the failed attempt at shaping them the tech told my friend to wash her hands to apply the gel color. When my friend sat back down I asked her if she was really OK with her nails. I took a look at the finished product myself. My friend looked so dejected and sad I had to say some thing. I let the woman know nicely that I appreciated her attempting to fix it but that my friend would feel much better if her nails could simply be started over because my friend is obviously upset about the length and the crookedness. The tech kept insisting that they where fine and that it was what my friend asked for. And I told her that my friend didn't want to be rude but that she did tell her many times that the length was too short and the nails where crooked. I also informed the tech that I'd be willing to pay more to just have my friends acrylics started over and that I didn't care about the price I just wanted my friend to be happy with her nails. This Technician told me that she wouldn't charge for length and she would just charge for shorter nails instead of long ones. . . Like.... no... the point was completely over her head. My friend was tired at this point so I just said fine and we paid and left. Probably never to return... I was charged $40 for a horribly done acrylic set. So horribly done that I took my friend to another nail salon to fix it right after we left D'vine nails. And bless their hearts they needed 2 technicians to work on soaking off and drilling my friends horribly thick nails. This spa has never done us wrong before. This is the first time we've ever felt upset. Me and my friend have never had issues with any of the other techs at this place. That elderly woman should not be doing acrylic sets on anyone any time soon. read more

Their hot towels for pedicures are scorching hot! Not a safe or enjoyable temperature at all & one of the pedicures my friend got was so lumpy & funky. Once I got there Cathy welcomed me and my friend, she is the owner. They are new to this area (2nd week open) and so they offered a Grand Opening deal of 30% off the original price of service. I got the Classic Pedicure - $25 plus 30% off. So, it was $18 total. Emma was my nail technician and she was great! Very gentle and made sure I was comfortable, and offered me water. They offer water, apple juice, or a mimosa. They have about 10 pedicure chairs & 4 manicure chairs. Currently they have a few workers but as soon as people share word of mouth or place amazing reviews of their business (hopefully getting the same experience as I did) to have more workers and to expand and grow their business. As I'm waiting the SAME person as last time comes in, and they are finishing up on one lady and then they call over the same person AGAIN who arrived way after me, the manager or owner what ever he is continuously apologized, instead of apologizing over and over just don't make that mistake! So finally I get out of there after about 3 hours(fill and pedicure). The next morning I woke up and my big toes hurt so badly, it was swollen and achy, later that night my toenail FELL off it was so infected that it just came off!! I called Dvine nails, and told them, they didn't seem to even care, she just kept saying you need to come back in so we can fix it, what the heck!! How can you fix it after it fell off, I asked for my money back and she said you need to come in( I shouldn't have to come in AGAIN( after making appointments and always waiting and hour +) so I called my bank, they ended up charging me $90 the first time and then again another $93, they refused to do anything about it! I'm not going to go out of my way to come back again, it should be done right the first time. Save your money and don't go here!!! This is an amazing salon! My nails are perfect and my nail technician (John) was super attentive asking me at every step of the way if I was comfortable & if I was liking how my nails were looking! I haven't had much luck with nail salons, especially, when it comes to acrylics but I am so glad I found this gem and I will definitely keep coming back! The salon is so clean and appealing. This was my first time there but it seems like all the nail technicians are very kind and produce high quality work. I paid $45, which to me is beyond reasonable for the experience and end product. UPDATE: I finally went to try out their pedicures as before I had only gone to do my nails. I loved it! They were polite, time efficient, and absolute perfectionists on my feet! I would definitely recommend coming here for pedicures. The express pedicure is $17 and it's well worth it. I didn't get the name of the woman who worked on my feet but she did such an amazing job!
