Surprisingly really good food. Kind of pricey, but was worth it for a proper meal to be made. Wasn't expecting the Turkey Club Sandwich to taste that great. They smoke their turkey in house apparently, and you definitely got that smokey flavor from it. I ordered a Caesar Salad too as the side and it was delicious. A properly made Caesar Salad that you can still taste the anchovies in the dressing. Minus a star because our waiter kept forgetting things, whether it was one or two sets of utensils, one or two waters, one or two straws, he kept having to come back and forth from the kitchen which is kind of a far walk in the establishment (on opposite ends from our table, really). Also I would've appreciated if they had mentioned to us to book the games in advanced before it became all sold out. We've been to Campo De Bocce a ton of times and it had pretty good food.....this is our first experience with Da Boccery for both the simulators and bocce (no axe throwing this time!). This review is about the food. OMG. What a pleasant surprise! You expect "okay" food - this was WAY better than OK. This was fantastic. I had the ahi fish tacos - a must order. Light and airy shell with a tasty ahi mix insert. Could very well be the best fish taco I've had - it's not your traditional "here's some tuna and cabbage in a corn tortilla" taco and that's a great thing. It's unique and amazing. Our friends split a pizza and salad and raved about how perfect the pizza was. They wanted a crispy crust and got what they wanted. My wife ordered the stuffed mushroom appetizer in her crafty way to embellish her beef hamburger with bacon. She asked medium rare. She got medium rare. Very enjoyable. Our service was beyond great. It wasn't super busy and often the staff gets distracted when it's not busy - in this case our service was perfect. Da Boccery ambiance is obviously linked to all the entertainment that's there but the tables are nicely separated from the courts and simulators, and even during bocce or the simulator, there are comfortable couches and tables if you want to eat there - we did drinks there, then ate in the more "restaurant" area of the place. There's so much to do - bocce ball, axe throwing, cornhole, shuffleboard, a big arcade area, and plenty of other table games that it's easy to spend a few hours here without getting bored. It's also well set up for multiple groups at the same time, which makes it a great choice for holiday get-togethers or group celebrations. The food is fairly standard and a bit on the pricey side for what it is, and of course, there are a very few dessert options if you're in the mood for something sweet. Went to a wedding welcome party here. This was the perfect place for this kind of event. We had our own space with bocce, shuffle board, and corn hole. Plenty of space for everyone and fun to try all the different games. The food was also really good and service was quick / attentive. Had so much fun and would go back here. Like I don't think anyone would get bored here...Right when we walked in, we were greeted with friendly faces and got a table to sit at immediately with estimated wait times for certain activities. The place is located in a somewhat random boujee plaza by the Livermore wineries and a gas station. The place is super spacious with plenty of room inside and outside to just chill / drink or play games! There was a work event happening, some dates, and kids running around -- really family friendly and seems to cater to all ages. The concept of this place is great for hosting gatherings or large groups. There's a mini arcade, golf simulation area with other games to play like soccer, and virtual axe throwing for a relatively low price of $13 per person! Would definitely come back again for how affordable it was. We also had some technical issues and the manager or owner happily let us stay an extra 15 minutes because of that delay...like #blessed As for the food, it was yummy but really pricey from $25-$30 minimum. The main highlight was my friend's chili cheese nachos where the chips stayed crispy the whole time and the parm chicken sandwich. Delicious flavors and well seasoned. Their fries were a surprising hit and had a perfect texture of crunchiness similar to beer battered fries. They do give large portions though. Our waiter was also attentive and nice! They need to make the chicken tenders here a full on meal instead of being something on the kids menu. These are the best chicken tenders I have ever tasted in my life. And that's mainly because the business who runs this place used to have a place called "Plucked chicken & beer" which had the best chicken tenders I have ever tasted. Unfortunately, for some strange reason, plucked closed down 2 years ago. I miss it every day. Fortunately this place has very similar tasting chicken, ranch, and fries. But the unfortunate part is that I live far away and the serve size for the chicken is very tiny because it's exclusive to the kids menu. so it's not really worth going here for only two tenders. I beg BEGGG of this place to have more tender options. They're sitting on a goldmine. These tenders are way too good to just be sitting on the kids menu. Anyway, enough of the tender rant, this place is very very fun to be at. You have arcade machines, great air conditioning, great decor, and of course, Bocci Ball!! I was looking for a fun activity to do while on winter break and came across Da Boccery. I came here years ago when it was Camp Da Bocce. The set up is similar to when I came before. They have an arcade area, bar area, plenty of seating for dining and bocce ball courts inside and their outside area that's covered.There's an axe throwing enclosed area, and a shuffle board court that's outside. There is a month long deal, half off all activities till January 31, 2025. (BOTCHOUT2025) The gentleman that checked us in and showed us our bocce court was friendly and helpful. He gave us a quick tutorial of the game, and there's a rules sheet for our convenience for reference. I hadn't played in years so the instruction was well needed. As first time guest, we were experiencing technical difficulties with the virtual football game so I went to speak with an employee. I just so happened to make eye contact with the manager, as I attempted to speak to him he inadvertently and swiftly looked away. It wasn't until I kind of waived my hand to get his attention that he came over. I explained the issue and even attempted to show him the recording of the issue. He was so dismissive though, stating "well it looks like it's on target" when CLEARLY it wasn't. Instead he offered us a refund. He could have offered a better explanation of what to do to make contact or even offer a different booth. It felt like we weren't welcome there. Chris informed us of some of the local events and events that Da Boccery hosted and we've decided to give the spot one more time for trivia night. So I've been here 2 times before over the past year and the food and general vibe/ambiance been great. But the REASON I'm writing this review today is to call out the amazing service I got from the staff this last week. I had a friend visiting in town this week and it's been a hard year for both of us in a lot of different ways. So I wanted to treat her for her birthday and also take her out for some surprise axe throwing so we could both blow off some steam. Initially I had some problems with the website so I had to physically come into book but the girl at the front, I don't remember her name but she wore glasses, was incredibly kind and walked me through the whole process which was great because the way I was trying to do it would've been incorrect. Then when we got to the restaurant for our reservation on Tuesday at 8pm our server JJ and axe supervisor Ethan were the best hosts/waiters we could've ever asked for. The hostess with the glasses was there too as where their coworkers Jacob and another fellow whose name I don't remember but I will his and the girls name here add once I find out because they all deserve to recognized by name for their amazing service. When I tell you they made our experience above and beyond I cannot describe how underwhelming that phrase is for how well they treated me and my friend. They made us feel welcome, they were incredibly kind, and they made our night 10 times better than what it was. They also did something incredibly nice for us at the end of the evening that was incredibly touching for both me and my friend. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. However much these folks are getting paid they deserve more and when people say that "the staff makes the business" this is what they're talking about.
