The pizza was good, not great, because it lacked this crunchiness that I like so much. The penne were a bit oily, which was too bad because the dish was really good otherwise (they were not home made though). As for the ravioli, they were also good. The Tiramisu was a bit dry to my taste (probably needed a day more at the fridge). Altogether the food was good (not great though, just good). I really enjoyed the service, I have to say the waiters were really helpful, fast and were always checking to see if everything was all right, although we came during rush hour. They love to put weird decoration (cherry tomatoes, balsamic reduction, etc) on the pasta, even if it does not match. Less would be more. Also the vitello tonnato was a bit disappointing for me because it lacked the creamy tuna sauce, but rather came with a thick tuna paste. As the restaurant was very busy at 2pm on a Saturday afternoon, there was a 15-20 minute wait, but once they arrived we knew we'd struck culinary gold. Delicately crispy on the outside, yet unbelievably soft and chewy inside, it wasn't long before both pies were devoured. While waiting for our food I noticed a (very) large abstract painting on the wall that looked like one of German plein-air painter Christopher Lehmpfuhl's creations. I asked our server of its provenance and a few minutes later the owner/manager came over, impressed that I'd correctly identified the artist. It turns out they have several of his works, plus many unique telephone and mail artifacts on display, so he gave me a tour of them all. The antiques were curated from the post office that previously occupied the building. Very, very cool to see such attention to art and detail in a restaurant.

The waiter served it correctly as he started with a splash to let my husband taste it first. It was to his taste buds liking. At the end of our meal our server comped the glass of wine which was a pleasant surprise. So we left a great tip in exchange, which is usually not a thing in Europe. Traveling lately though we are noticing more and more it is an option when you're checking out. Take note, if you order water, you will be charged $7-$10 dollars for the bottle of still or sparkling water, so make sure you drink it up.
