I can't believe I didn't try them until a year ago even though they've been around for years... since there are so many coffee shops opening up all the time. Anyhow, my favorites here are their matcha drinks, including the Banana Matcha and the Ube Matcha. I have yet to try their Sesame Matcha which I am looking forward to... although I find myself coming here and getting an Ube Matcha all the time lol. I also love their Ube Coffee, which is strong, but balanced with the ube cream. So yummy and creamy, and not too sweet. I will be back on a regular basis. They also have bingsoo (Korean shaved ice) which I need to try as well. Service is great and the drinks come out fast. She loved the egg coffee at 50% sweetness and I enjoyed my matcha, but it's not something I'd order again as the caramel was a little too sweet. The mango bingsu was great and I would order it again - if I were in the area. Overall, the shop was very busy and it was hard to find seats. However, the line moved quickly and eventually, we found some seats to enjoy our treats. The shop had a nice atmosphere - lots of conversations going on all around us. Overall, a cute shop with a variety of drinks - mainly coffee and a few tea/matcha/milk options. Edit: I didn't stir my drink, they don't take accountability for their lack of integrity, and instead, blame the customer. I was there for an hour and would see customers here and there leave with their drinks as if they were pre-stirred. The menu states "lighter Vietnamese coffee", so getting it half sweet should make it bland, and it wasn't bland. Gotta love the professional gaslighting! I came in for their BOGO marble drip to see what the hype is about when it comes to Da Vien. First impression, never gonna go out of my way to come in again. I'd only come here if my friends want to get something. Maybe then I'll try something different. The "marble drip" has no drip at all and doesn't even look remotely close to their enticing photos, which is beyond disappointing. The fact that they thought it was okay to serve me such a drink is repulsive. To me it shows that Da Vien lacks integrity in their brand/product and I personally won't support that. Besides looks, the taste is like any generic Viet coffee after ordering it half sweet with boba. I don't taste the sweet milk, solely coffee flavors. I ordered their croissant thinking it'd be a typical portion, but it was half an original croissant lack there of and it was salty. I will give credit that the texture was crunchy and fluffy to which I love. The type of music they play really adds an animated feel to the shop. There's ample seating including tables and a couple of benches. Outside - The exterior also has an energetic feel with the boulevard's steady traffic & moderate pedestrian flow. There's also very much Vietnamese culture with the neighboring businesses & even some of the nearby architecture. It's an active vibe, but not to the point that it feels rushed or overwhelming. Restroom - The only element that this Da Vien location has of a standard coffee shop is its restroom. The facility is maintained well enough to use it comfortably if you really need to use a public restroom, but probably wouldn't be your first choice. I still give 5 stars because, again, you'll find the same conditions in the average coffee joint. Drinks: Peach Tea - The Peach Tea was really refreshing. It was the perfect level of sweetness (Regular - no adjustments). The highlight was it containing actual peach slices, which is what probably gives it so much natural flavor. Phin Drip Black Coffee - The black coffee was strong, but had a good flavor to it. It was definitely better tasting than most coffees. Menu: The overall menu has a great selection. Each section has a variety to choose from, but not too many. The prices are very reasonable for the quality compared to competitors. Service: The shop is adequately staffed & the employees are nice. Came in the other day and I ordered 3 drinks: 2 iced coconut matcha and 1 Vietnamese iced coffee. There was absolutely no reason for them to take 20minutes on my order. I was standing there for quite awhile and I saw my matcha drinks were ready, but they still took forever to get the drinks out. They need a better system...the problem is that they only had one person calling out the drinks, but that person was also working as the cashier which is super inefficient because when they're helping out customers at the cash register, the drinks ALL pile up. If I had waited any longer I would've been late to work so I just took my two drinks and told them not to worry about the third one.
