It was rainy Saturday afternoon and whole family craved some Indian food. We usually never do a buffet style but this time around we gave it a try. The place looked a bit rundown with sitting sections out of place. Buffet options were common staples Butter chicken, veg rice, chicken 65, some vegetarian options. So this is one of my favorite places to get Indian food. They have changed owners and I liked all the owners that have had. The newest owner might be my favorite though. They are so sweet and always nice. And remember us when we come in. Their butter chicken is everything! They have my favorite butter chicken. Their naan is also very good. Chicken Manchurian is also very delicious. Village chicken is so spicy and good too. Samosas are filled perfectly and I like to pair it with the brown sauce. Lollipop chicken is also a good choice. The winner out of all their food is definitely the chai! They have such an amazing chai that I have to order each time. I love being in here, the atmosphere because of the workers are just very welcoming. Your food comes fast and fresh and accurate. I definitely recommend this place. My companions and I had a 9pm urge for Indian food. They had previously enjoyed this restaurant. Last night's visit was my first. It compared favorably to Indian restaurants in my hometown of Orlando. I ordered Dosa which came with three accompaniments. One of the chutneys (?) was too spicy for me. The others were excellent and the dosa was perfect. My companions enjoyed chicken maghati, chicken tikka masala and butter & onion naan. I tasted their dishes and found them (mild) delicious with perfect heat. Our server was friendly. He even brought the chef over to help one of my companions choose a dish, whose name he couldn't remember, by description. The five-star was deserved for the, friendliness of the staff and for the quality of our meal. However, the food delivery was slow. Also, I'd like the menu to include descriptions of each selection listed. I look forward to visiting Daawath when I visit my family next year. read more

Ordered the Gobi Manchurian, Chana masala, mixed veggie masala, bhindi masala. There's no buffet with covid at all. One guy is manning the tables and the carry out orders, so waiting to order is taking a bit. They have beer and alcohol. The waiter told us we ordered a lot of food with naan and rice. We said we aren't eating the naan or rice at all. He was apologetic for the delay in taking our food order at least. The gobi is not crunchy, it's soggy, like it would be after an half our drive in a carry out container in the car, the breading is so not crunchy and the cauliflower wasn't cooked all of the way either, has the flavor of it not being cooked. We asked if it could be made crunchy the outside and maybe more fully cooked inside too. The flavor was good and the heat level too. I get bits of fresh ginger in bites, it's good. The second Gobi Manchurian is more crunchy, which is good, just a bit sparse with the sauce is all. The dosa is a bit thicker and more dense than I was expecting and less crunchy, still good. You can even see bits of lentil in the cooked dough. My husband feels the dosa is more like injera. The outer edge of the dosa crisped up. The chutneys are good, their spiced. The mint or green one is my favorite, hands down. There's tomato chutney, coconut chutney and the sambar soup or lentil soup. The butter chicken is the best of the 4 entrees. The sauce is sweet, creamy and smooth. Not a huge fan of their version of the bhindi, mixed veggie masala or the Chana masala either. The mixed veggie masala has eggplant, zucchini, cauliflower, broccoli, carrots and potatoes too. The music went from pop music to some more traditional older style Indian music. The Bhindi and mixed veggie masala is rather greasy too. What I don't get is the Chana is also in a masala, but it's not as greasy somehow. The portions are bigger here than other places for sure. Hardly made a dent and we are pretty full. Service here is good, the gobi Manchurian is good. Ask for it crunchy if you like it a bit crispy and less soft. The butter chicken is also a good pick. Portions here are generous too. Total is $61.42. read more

My husband and I tried this place for the first time and I am an instant fan!! The food was SO flavorful, and had a great amount of spice. We were promptly greeted and each given a bottle of water to drink. You're able to take your plates up to the dish area, which was nice so we could clear the table as we ate. No apologies, I get a lecture on how I should have called ! No apologies that there is a functional website accepting orders and it is accepting card payments and orders!! At that point in time they tell me they are having issues with the website! 112 freaking dollars. When I asked for a refund the idiot wanted me to write down my full card number to issue a refund! Summary, I do not recommend this restaurant because - Incorrect pricing - Missing items in order - Long wait time 1. This restaurant has always have long wait time. You should expect the food to be ready over an hour by the time you place the order. 2. I've placed a take out order via phone, the order was missing a share of garlic naan that I got charged for. I called the restaurant and they told me to come back and get the missing item. It wasn't worth the drive so I told them not to worry about it. If you want to order take out from this restaurant, I recommend to open the bag and make sure you have everything you should get. 3. I just ordered an other take out via phone, the yellow printed menu that they put throughout the restaurant listed the order should've $27.99. I ended up being charged $35 + 10% off cash discount. I bought back the order to the restaurant and they said the online price is the correct price and the print out menus in the restaurant is outdated and said I should refer to the pricings online. Hard to rate this one . . . Food was very good, but ambiance and service didn't cut it. Daawath's lunch buffet is back, but just on Saturdays and Sundays. At about $20 per person, it's a bit pricey despite a good selection of items. Pros: Solid menu and choices. Spices are outstanding and hats off to the chef. Cons: Ambiance is on par with a 7-11 and is starkly open and very drab. For buffet, you have to clear your own dishes to a gray tub. Buffet food would unlikely make the health dept. temp test. read more

I only recently became a fan of Indian food. I'm pretty impressed with this place as a whole. The food is definitely fresh and full of flavor. We ordered some appetizers and entrees. I was expecting mint sauce with the appetizers but it only came with the sweet sauce. That's ok though. The tandoori was good and the chicken saag was amazing as was the chicken tika masala. Our Tandoori Chicken was just as great, although the waitress didn't warn us of the long wait. That's often a "feature" of the best Tandoori. The item I ordered was listed as $8.99 but was charged $13.99, other items were also much higher. Their excuse is "management" is looking to update the menu and online menu, when? The restaurant is also freezing, everyone in the restaurant wore their coats during lunch. Only one person handling the ordering, while I was waiting at the register to ask for boxes and pay my bill, the busser cleared my plates with a lot of food left on them. There's room for improvement here. We ordered a takeout of bagara baigan, which turned out to be slightly salty and powdery. The kofta curry was drenched in cashew sauce. They also charged us $2 for a tiny cup of watered-down yogurt garnished with chopped onion and cilantro. Considering this, it would've been more cost-effective to buy a full quart of yogurt from a grocery store for just a dollar more. We once dined in, and the service was just passable. The cutlery was not properly cleaned, showing visible water marks. The establishment could definitely use some attention to its ambiance. Placed order on phone but the manager didn't put efforts to inform his staff about it and it took more then 1.5 hrs to get the order and had to wait 25 mins after placing the order more than an hour ago. Then the order was not even complete when checked. They offered 10% discount after all this mess but have only 5% discount. How can I put this nicely? Oh wait I can't. To the head chef and management - your food sucks! If THIS is why you've been feeding people you should start by learning how to make milk and cereal (don't forget the bowl). Our order was to go. The kadai paneer had no salt and not even 0.01% spicy. Kadai paneer is supposed to have big pieces of onions, green peppers and paneer but our order was loaded with small pieces of paneer without any flavor. The naans were given extra burned (didn't request). The biryani was just cooked rice with some turmeric. This place is a disgrace for Indian food.
