On entering the restaurant the first thing you notice is the lovely atmosphere - sparkling glassware, cosy candlelights and white tablecloths give a smart but relaxed air to the place. The service was perfect when we went - the ladies who work here are friendly and keen to help. The menu is mainly based around local seafood dishes such as Mussels with pesto,Thai Monkfish curry and Dover Sole. A meal for two with wine came to just over £40 -though you can also get a mid week dining offer of two courses for £15 and three for £18 which is a more limited menu but still looks great (I'm thinking the fish and chips for next time). We didn't have room for dessert but the choices looked fantastic and had it not been a week night we could have happily whiled away the hours over coffee, cheese and spirits - Vaughan's is that kind of place. 5 stars.
