Attempted to charge us an additional $2000 for a flat fee move having been involved in multiple cross-country moves, I never had anything broken. They broke so many things. Simply walked away from the move and didn't finish it. I had to finish it using friends and my own truck. Packed delicate antiques in that they were instructed not to and no surprise they broke them. They caused more than $5000 worth of damage. Two of the items were purchased from Sotheby's and they are incapable of ever being sold again in one case the 18 and 19-year-olds doing this move were instructed not to put two items in the back of the truck and actually set them upright so that the legs would not break. They threw them in the back of the truck and they broke they broke too expensive handmade orreries. They broke a water distiller. They broke a 1725 French commode they broke an 1875 mahogany settee. And all of the damage could've been avoided if they had just followed instructions clear instructions both from the client and from the captain who was in charge that day. He was exceptional. I "randomly" got a text from his business asking if I needed removal and of course I knew the divine answered my call because I never chase nor force simply wait for what's meant for me to come to me in perfect divine timing.
