Came here because I was in the mood for Cheese Fire Chicken, and the usual place where I get it was closed. The item came with a side of rice and Banchan. The Banchan was also deliciously well-made. The chicken hit the spot for my craving, so I am glad they had it. The interior was simple and clean, and the service was good.
For $120 on DoorDash with the presentation, absolutely not feeling it. The kimchi fried rice was decent, the soft tofu soup was an experience -- tofu tasted really gross for some reason, but the mushrooms were okay, very underseasoned though. The fries were good the first couple of bites until the sour cream and jalapeños overpower the dish. Overall probably wouldn't go back given the presentation and price point.
Decided to try this place because they were open late and had a wide variety of food on the menu. Sadly to say, the best part of this place is that they were open late. The fries and the hot pot were good, no complaints there. The La kalbi had good flavor but the portion was so small for the price compared to other places, each bone was like 4 dollars each. The stir fried baby octopus was a little sweet and spicy but also a really small portion considering half of it was cabbage. The seafood pancake wasn't crispy, but rather kind of soggy. The boneless chicken was so disappointing, it felt like there weren't really any pieces of chicken and even then, there was fried rice cake included in it so the amount of actual chicken was maybe 3 ounces on the entire plate. Inside is nice with the lighting and decor, service was good, but food was pretty overpriced for what you get. Overall, the selling point of this place are the late hours. I don't anticipate coming back.
One of the better spicy pork gimbap. Was really good from the pork to all the veggies. All the ingredients worked well with each other. The best of the banchan was the fish cake. It was pretty good, not too fishy. Went really well with the hotpot. Also had the miso hotpot with pork and ramen. It soup also had tofu, assorted veggies and small shrimp. Broth was tasty. The miso flavor was pretty mild. The staff were very nice. Food came out quickly. Reasonable price especially the spicy pork roll; good serving size.
It was late night and came here. The place serves Korean street food tapas style as you should definitely eat everything here family style. Although we did not get soju this time, this is a great place to drink with your friends as they have various types of soju cocktails. Fries (4/5) Too many jalapeños for me, but the portion is big enough to share Army stew (5/5): Has various topping and is very comforting. Will probably go here again for a night out
One of the few places on El Camino Real with vegetarian tofu sundubu and side dishes. The sundubu was a bit expensive and didn't nail the head with the flavor, but was still enjoyable. The vegetarian banchan was limited and only one free refill is included. Its got a nice nighttime vibe and is open later than other Korean restaurants in the area.
Good side-dishes, decent main dishes and service. There is limited parking in front of the store, at peak hours it would be a little difficult to find spot. You might need to park a bit further down the road and walk back. If you come in as a big group, they will apply service tip automatically on the bill for 20%. The decoration is decent and clean with a big TV displaying Kpop MV. Foods are really good, their seafood pancake is crispy and generous in seafoods portions. Their banchans were great, we couldn't stop eating all of them. However, Al Kaebi portion is quite small for the price, I would skip this next time though. Spicy rice cakes with ramen came out a bit too sweet to my taste.
We found this delicious Korean place off yelp on a whim and it was great! They had a large variety of traditional Korean dishes and the restaurant had a great ambiance. I really liked the seafood pancake as they were generous with the amount of seafood and the batter was very crispy. The cold noodles were surprisingly good too! The army stew was very hearty and was great to have on a chilly day. I did think the soondubu was a little lackluster though, and though the fried chicken was very crispy and juicy, the sauce was on the side and so not coated very well on the wings. I'd also avoid the watermelon soju, and we found that to be pretty watered down considering the price. All in all we had a great experience and would come back!
What a great Korean restaurant with good vibes and great service! I made a reservation for 30+ people as we wanted to eat dinner before karaoke and this was close by. It's hard finding restaurants to reserve this many people but I am glad Daebak could accommodate us. They organized a long table for all of us to sit at towards the back so we didn't even have to split up! Some of my friends and I split the boneless chicken with green onions, army stew, pork belly kimchi fried rice, and corn cheese. Of course, we shared the watermelon soju as well! The food was definitely yummy and nothing disappointed. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. The dishes that stood out to me were definitely the army stew and the green onion chicken; huge portions and delicious! The watermelon soju was big enough to split amongst 5 people and we all got 2.5-3 shots each out of it. The service was definitely the highlight of the night! Our servers, Haeseong & Frank, were super accommodating to our requests and even allowed us to split our big party into 3 ways. Even though we all ordered lots of food, the food was brought out quick and they refilled our water many times. They were also fun to hang around with too haha! Definitely would recommend this place to people who want to eat good Korean food with a big group!
We had so much fun at Dae Bak! We've been coming here for years, and the line is always out the door on a late weekend night! Dae Bak is known for their watermelon soju! A perfect choice for a party of 4 you can't taste the soju at all, fun and dangerous! lol The service staff is super friendly and fun! They celebrated my birthday and they even gave us soju on the house! Did you know that the restaurant owner used to play professional baseball in Korea!? Enjoyed the vibes and company! Food is always seasoned and spiced on point, served in generous portions, and paid homage to traditional Korean dishes! There are SOO many options on their menu! I was pleasantly surprised by the Garlic Jalapeno Pork Belly! A good level of heat from the jalapeno and the pork belly was not oily or heavy! Favorite go-to orders: Spam Kimchi Fried rice, Seafood Pancake and Corn cheese! Cheers!
wow! it's seriously on another level! I heard there's a new owner, and you can totally feel the difference. The food is trendy, super flavorful, and really unique compared to other places. The atmosphere is great, and the staff are so attentive and friendly!! you can tell they really care about the customers. The portions are generous, and the prices are totally reasonable for the quality you get. Definitely became one of my new favorite spots
Such great food and excellent service! We came to celebrate Mother's Day here with the family. We were seated quickly, the server took our order and informed us of the special drinks for Mother's Day. Food came out promptly and was delicious! My parents and family enjoyed all the different dishes we ordered. We had kids, teens, seniors, and adults with us, all with different tastes, but everyone enjoyed everything that came out. The servers were so sweet to offer my mom and dad a spin on the wheel where they won a dish, they chose short ribs which were delicious. This was my first time being here, it was recommended by my sister. We'll definitely be back again!! Thank you to the very nice and gracious employees here, you all made Mother's day for us even better!
Long overdue and review is for current vs past years. Came here late night on a weekday. Wasn't too full, the place can hold big groups with 4 booths and 10 tables. Ordered the watermelon soju of course, could not taste any soju for some reason. The garlic pork belly was not crispy (2/5). Stir fry chicken gizzards were a bit too gamey for me and not as flavorful (2/5). The cold noodles imo was the best dish (5/5), good vinegar ratio and radish and slivers of cucumber. Service was decent, answered our questions but did not come to check on our water/ ban chan. I remember their army noodle was good and big portioned. There are other places that specialize in the cold noodle as well, so sad but will not be returning.
Dae bak is a perfect weeknight drinking place for me that's open late! I always venture between Pocha K and Dae bak but recently I've really been feeling Dae bak!! Your typical late-night Korean drinking spot with a wide selection of drunk food and soju fruits! We always get the dae bak fries, Kimchi fried rice, and a pancake & ofc a soju. Be warned when you get the watermelon soju! If you eat the watermelon you'll be stumbling out of the restaurant!!! It's strong and yummy and such a good time here. My friends and I came here after playing volleyball because we saw it was open late night yesterday. Quite a lot of people on a Tuesday night but not too packed. I got their hot pot with beef, udon and kimchi style soup. It was quite yummy, satisfying and filling. The broth is savory, not too salty and flavorful. I love kimchi soups! The hot pot also came with a dumpling, rice cakes, tofu and more cabbage. I would definitely get this again and am happy that this place opens late night. I like how inside the restaurant it's not too bright. They also play Kpop and have booths and chairs if you prefer one over the other. I recommend coming here :) read more

Cool spot to come here with friends to drink. Ended up getting some soju fruit drinks that come in the actual fruit and a yogurt soju mixed bottle to share. Parking does suck and will have to find parking around the corner if no parking is available in the small parking lot. The drinks were fair price. We also go garlic fries but don't recommend. Could use more flavor and tossing. Check this out if looking for a chill place to come drink :) read more

Came here with a couple friends and had a really good experience overall. We got the kimchi fried rice, fire chicken, and omelet fried rice--everything hit the spot, no complaints. What stood out the most was the service. Our waiter was super attentive without hovering, checked in at the right times, and made sure we had everything we needed the whole time. It made the whole dinner feel a lot more relaxed and easy. The place has a chill vibe, good for a casual dinner. I'd definitely come back. read more
We came here for dinner on a weekday and were seated immediately! The food came decently quick and the servers were friendly. I gotta say I do think the prices are a little steep, but the portion sizes are quite large too! The sauce for the kimchi pancake was SO delicious. Sweet, soy sauce-y, and savory. tl;dr Food options are best for sharing, a bit pricy for the overall quality of food. Fruit shell cocktails are a cool novelty! I think the Yelp rating of 3.5 stars at the time of this review is accurate as the food is tasty, but it's not cheap. Parking is limited as it's a small lot for several shops. I used to come here a few times pre-pandemic, and this was my first visit back since then. I'd say the quality and experience are about the same. The restaurant is on the smaller side, so expect a wait if you come late since this is definitely a late-night spot. The hot clay pot bibimbap was pretty good, very light flavor except for the mushrooms, which were delicious. I hardly found any beef in it though. My fiancee got the pork belly kimchi fried rice, which was surprisingly flavorful. He said he enjoyed his meal a lot, though it was a lot of rice and not too too much else inside. We've previously had the watermelon shell soju, which is always a favorite when sharing with others, but we passed on it since it was just the two of us this time. read more
Late night Korean cravings are satisfied! The menu has a good variety and the vibes are nice too. The staff are really kind and I like the k-pop they play here. Gotta love a place with good music! GOT7, IU, and ZICO all night :) I highly recommend the Seafood Cream Udon! The portion is pretty big and the dish is quite filling. They don't skimp on the seafood too. Comes with calamari, mussels, clams, and little shrimps. The sauce is sooo flavorful! read more

we came here after a concert and we're so happy we did! the service was so friendly and accommodating despite the late hour (around midnight). the ambiance was energetic and also cozy!! the perfect combo esp after a long cold day we got fries as a starter and they were nice and crispy. the fried chicken we got was okay, a little dry! wish we got a sauce the spicy seafood rice cake was delicious! the sauce was a nice spicy kick! the only con was that we were hoping for more rice cakes or seafood in general. it was mostly sauce but the sauce was a good to dip our fries into. the army soup was a nice comforting end to our day. a nice savory tomato based soup with the soft tofu, ramen noodles and sausages. read more
I used to love this place for tteokboki & fried seaweed rolls but I don't think I'll be going back again anytime soon. My partner and I shared the tteokboki & fried seaweed rolls tonight. While both dishes were delicious, the tteokboki was missing the egg and didn't have any fish cakes. The seaweed rolls were tasty but not the same. read more

Right off the back I'll tell you parking sucks. The lot fits like 10-14 cars, but about 6 spots are reserved for other store fronts so the remaining are first come first serve. (Theres like 3 store fronts in that lot and then a another korean restaurant which was completely packed... and Dae Bak was empty besides one reserved table and one other walk in) Omelet fried rice - 4/5 Pretty good, the omelet came out tasteful and fluffy. Does come pre doused with a pretty hefty amount of ketchup as omurice usually does but wish they cut back a bit(personal preference of course). Army Stew - 2/5 Extremely traditional. Other places serving this usually add their own twist by adding seafood such as scallops, shrimp or other additions like potstickers, whereas this place is straightforward with just the usual stuff (Spam, Vienna Sausages, Hotdogs). Lost points mostly because it seems they really do cheap out on this when you look at other pictures of surrounding restaurants serving Army Stew (filled with additions) whereas you can see lots of just open broth area for this one. I honestly do think they only gave us one or two ttekbokki pieces as they cut it into slices and there was not that many of them... same for the rest of the stuff, probably less than 4 pieces cut up.... Which is sad looking at other Army Stew places. Service - ?/5 I really don't know to be honest. Might just be Korean culture that I haven't seen in usual modern restaurants but there was a lot of conflicting service. Seems a woman was not quite confident in their waiters skill as she was always trying to do something opposite. In one scenario she lowered our gas stove to low(without asking or letting us know she will, and it was not even boiling or smoking at that point) then not even one minute later our waiter comes by and puts it back to high. She came to interrupt our meal a few times as well while mumbling stuff which was kind of off-putting especially when I specifically said we were good. read more

Came in on a rainy weekend after a full dinner and dessert primarily looking for a late night drink to spend time with friends. We only ordered a fresh pineapple soju, so this review will only be centered around their drinks! We asked the server which fruit soju cocktail he recommended since we were curious about the watermelon and melon. Unfortunately, it isn't watermelon season and he mentioned that the pineapple was his favorite. We waited about 10 minutes (there weren't that many customers, maybe 3-4 other tables besides us) and the pineapple came out with a sparkler! It was really cool seeing how festive the sparkler made our night I would give the drink itself a 3/5: the soju flavor was strong and it will get you buzzed. Be wary that there is pulp since it's a fresh fruit cocktail - as we kept drinking there consistency became more pulpy. Overall, a chill place to hang and drink with friends. i came here late at night with friends (around 12:30 am) and we were all really hungry and this place definitely hit the spot. we ordered tofu soup, sweet and sour chicken (i think?), and tteokbokki. we came pretty late but we were served super quickly and we ate everything up. barely any left overs. that's how good it was. all the workers were super nice. also, every single dish came hot which i liked and it was super flavorful. the inside has nice seating and it's a great place to go with friends. i highly recommend this place read more

Awesome food and awesome company! Came here with my friends for dinner a while back. We had a lot of fun playing drinking games, eating, talking, and enjoying each other's company. We ordered the Stone Pot Bibimbap, Dae Bak Fries, Chicken Gizzard, Corn Cheese, and Steamed Egg. The Steamed Egg, Bibimbap, and Fries were my favorites! The Dae Bak Fries came in a huge portion and were very cheesy and slightly saucy. The Bibimbap came in a stoneware pot and was sizzling like crazy. The rice turned out crispy and the rice, veggies, and meat were perfectly cooked. The steamed egg was awesome! It came to our table so FLUFFY! The flavor and texture of it was good too! While eating we drank some Terra beer and soju. We played drinking games for a few hours and everyone in the restaurant was pretty cool about the noise. We also had flavored soju. The yogurt soju, apple soju, and apple mango soju were pretty good flavors. I recommend these flavors! Overall, the food was good and the service was pretty good too. Came around 11p Saturday and there were a few groups dining in. Parking is limited out front but still good amount of spots. Average amount of seating and good for mid sized groups. Place was pretty clean and service was quick. Ordered the fresh fruit honeydew soju $26 and it came out in 10min ish. The honey dew soju was lukewarm and not that great. We had a group of 9 people and we decided we wanted to drink and eat more after happy hour at Ichina. We came Friday around 7pm. Indoor dining only. We were able to get a table for 9 right away. It was busy but not that bad. We ordered sojus and a bunch of food items. Service was fast. Food was really good here. Parking lot was shared with other stores and limited but we were lucky and able to get parking right away. Our friends had to look for parking for a bit. Spicy chicken feet- very spicy but good Watermelon soju- good Seafood Pancake- crispy and delicious Chicken wings- thin batter and crispy, delicious! Nights start at the bars and clubs, but every good night ends at Dae Bak. I can't count how many nights I've landed here but it's been a good time every time. For a hole in the wall type place, the prices are definitely on the higher end of the spectrum so be prepared for that. The parking lot is also not very large, but in a pinch the streets usually have space. The service is usually nothing to write home about, except on rare occasions such as one Thursday night when my friends and I were helped by a young man who was so energetic, friendly, and funny. The experience is hit or miss, as skimming other reviews can attest to. My absolute favorite item here is the haemul pajeon (seafood pancake), 5/5 easy. I've eaten plenty of seafood pancakes, but none seem to compare to Dae Bak's, which I crave often. HMU if you got recs to any other good ones! Their menu of Korean food and drunchies are decent, but not memorable. Hot and crispy haemul pajeon, an icy bottle of Kloud and some soju to share at Dae Bak is a recipe for a good time. Came on a Sunday night with a large group (13 people) and they were able to accommodate us! They were busy but was able to attend to whenever we needed something. There's a button you can press to let them know you need assistance. We decided to share to our food amongst 5 people and it was more than enough! We loved everything except the fried chicken in kalbi sauce. I think it was a tad weird with the sauce and it made it a little soggy. Would try it again without the sauce. Loved that the seafood pancake had a lot of seafood in it. Overall, a great experience with friends. The food may not have been the best Korean we've had, but it did the job. We were full, got to try different items, and got to hangout with everyone! read more

Great spot for dinner or a late night snack! My friends and I came here after a concert at 12:30am on a Saturday night and got seated quickly. We ordered their corn cheese, french fries, bulgogi, and garlic fried chicken. - Corn cheese: Pretty decent. It had a good amount of cheese and was served hot. - french fries: unseasoned, but it's super crispy and the portion was huge. - bulgogi: thinly sliced and nicely marinated with a balanced sweet and savory sauce. - garlic fried chicken: the portion was a little small for the price. It was also weird that the minced garlic were underneath the fried chicken, and that the taste of chicken and garlic appeared somewhat disconnected rather than blended. Overall, it's great spot to grab some drinks and snacks late at night. I'd say the prices are on the higher end for the taste and portion size, though. read more

Craving Korean food tonight and luckily Dae Bak was open! I placed an order around 11:30 and it was estimated to be ready between 12:24-12:44. I ordered spicy pork bulgogi, bulgogi, bibimbop, and potstickers. Went to pick up food. Just make note that the sign for the restaurant is not clear so pay close attention to where it is located. There is parking, but limited. Quick pick up of food. Food was delicious! My favorite was the spicy pork bulgogi. Loved the pork, flavor, and spicy level. Also, really liked the packaging. The food presentation is nice and their to-go boxes is organized and greatly appreciated! read more

Fun soju drinks and snacks to share. Watermelon soju with sparkler was pretty refreshing and tasty. You could taste the fresh watermelon and bit of booze~ just right. Terra beer was good. The fried chicken was surprisingly good!! It was probably the star of the show. Aesthetically not the greatest but flavor was good, juicy tender meat, crispy and deliciously oily (in a good way). I like that they came with a few fries. Bulgogi roll was pretty good! The beef was flavorful and tender. The roll was a bit overloaded with sesame oil, so a bit oily, but very fragrant. Still yum. The kimchi fried rice was nice; good flavor and texture. The spicy rice cakes were inconsistent from one order to another (we had 2 and they were wildly different). One plate was spiced, the other was bland. Overall it was just spicy, no other flavors really (kinda boring imo, though I'm not really a fan of the dish so I'm definitely not the best commenter for tteokbokki. Friends who had the correctly spicy one said it was good). The dae bak nachos were a huge portion! Not much meat though, mostly just chips and cheese. Banchan just ok. read more

I don't know if you have to be FAAAAADEEEED to enjoy the food here. BTW, I'm all for being faded and having a good time, as long as, you're safe about it (don't drink and drive) and don't lose your dignity (panties). Or, maybe I ordered the wrong things, or it's because of covid, or it was an off day but I was not feeling the food here (I was buzzed if that helps). Maybe that's why the reviews for Dae Bak are so mixed? I'm slowly making my way through all the Korean restaurants in K-town and next on my list was Dae Bak. They've removed their outdoor seating so I ordered delivery when I was staying in the area. Dae Bak is a late-night, Korean restaurant and bar. They're open for takeout, delivery (3rd party apps), and indoor dining. M E N U Extensive Korean menu: kimbap (korean "sushi" rolls), pajeon (pancake), naengmyeon (cold noodles), soondubu (tofu soup), budae-jjigae (army stew), sulluntang (bone soup), KFC, bibimbap, galbijjim (braised short ribs), KBBQ, jokbal (pig's feet), dakbal (chicken feet), etc. I ordered delivery via DoorDash. Despite a change in drivers (food wasn't ready when driver arrived), my order arrived in about an hour and the food was hot. Everything was wrapped and sealed nicely to prevent spillage. F O O D: https://bit.ly/3yaQn7o * KFC, sauce on the side (7 pc -$20) ***Box was not vented which was odd. The KFC looked on the pale side, like they forgot to double fry it. The fries were undercooked so I think that confirmed it. It was OK for the drunchies but didn't hit like solid KFC. The side of yangnyeom sauce was sweet and spicy. * Dakbal: Spicy Chicken Feet ($21) I'm obsessed with chicken feet which is why Dae Bak has been on my list to go-to. The chicken feet had good fiery heat but I basically received a container of bones. If you zoom into my pic, you can see that the skin had melted of off the bones. To where, I don't know. I hope someone needed that collagen more than I did. If you're looking for bomb dakbal, check out Obok or Danawa. * LA Galbi w/ rice, banchan ($30) The galbi was tender but had a grainy texture. The banchan: kimchi, kimchi radish, broccoli, and fish cakes were my fav part of the meal. Overall, I was disappointed in my delivery order and personally think you can find better late-night, Korean food/drinking food at Pocha K or Danawa. But, I would be totally down to give Dae Bak another try if they happen to have outdoor seating again when it warms up. read more
It's been awhile since I've been to my fav Korean comfort food late night hangout. I'm not sure why such low stars as I have not witnessed any issues with food quality and service. On busy nights ..yes you will need to sign in and get on a list and wait but Dae Bak is one of those places open past midnight that has great food and fun Korean vibes . Bulgogi 5/5: Super moist , they don't go over board with onions or try to add cabbage fillers like other Korean joints. Expertly marinated and flowing with juices you can spoon over rice and eat w Bulgogi..just ..Yum! Garlic fries 5/5 : Freshly minced garlic on top of fresh made fries..never once disappointed. Cheesy corn: 5/5 : Served in a hot skillet plate. I'm not sure when cheese made it into Korean dishes but this is one I usually order when I come here . Dish is melted white cheese over corn. I'm guessing it mozzarella but never confirmed. Watermelon soju 5/5 : Still one of my favs..they don't use the dry ice anymore in favor of sparklers..cool presentation to impress your guests/date. It's fresh watermelon juice mixed with soju. Refreshing and not too alochol-y in taste. Interior: Simple cozy booth seating and tables/chairs scattered. String lights and screens playing kpop latest hits . There alot of big groups that come here to hangout w friends or celebrate special occasions. Vibe : This is a high energy crowd. It's super busy at night , soju is flowing .. Korean music is pumping with a lot of friendly chatter. Can't believe I haven't been to Dae Bak yet given my love for Korean street food and soju, but my experience here did make for a very decent meal. Came by on a Friday evening around 8:30 PM and it was poppin but we didn't have to wait for a table. For food, my friend and I got the Cheese Fire Chicken, the Kimchi Fried Rice, and the Noodle Soup (Kalguksu). All the items were tasty. The chicken was juicy and the cheese pull was on that dish impressive. The fried rice was probably my favorite item we got -- love the addition of pork belly. And the kalguksu had a generous amount of seafood in it. I will say that I think the Cheese Fire Chicken and Kimchi Fried Rice portions weren't very much compared to the price. Like the Noodle Soup was a big portion, but the other two items weren't as hefty. We also got the Fresh Fruit Watermelon Soju cocktail. It's very cute and comes with a sparkler LOL. How festive. This is a quaint place on El Camino. We came on a Friday night and the place was packed and wait time was around 20 minutes. There is no outdoor seating, only indoor seating. The ambiance was very lively. After we were seated and ordered, it took some time for food to get served. We got our side dishes first, which were delicious but limited in portions. We ordered the Cheese Fire Chicken as our main entrée. It was delicious and filled with veggies with just the right amount of spicy. The chicken was very tender and the cheese was warm and super stretchy. The popular order seemed to be the Fruit Sojus, so will be back in future to try it next time! read more

Amazing seafood tofu sundubu. As someone who doesn't eat red meat, the options at Korean restaurants can be pretty limited for me, so the fact that this dish is so excellent makes it a wonderful choice for me to go to with people with various dietary restrictions. read more

NOTE: They close early on weekdays at 12AM now & 2AM on weekends night. Yelp hours are wrong! I came to Daebak around 11PM & when seated, they told us last call for kitchen was 11:30PM & they were closing at 12AM. If I knew they were closing early now, I would of went some where else to eat & not be rushed. We ordered Seafood Pancake, Spam & Kimchi Roll, Steamed Egg & Cheese Fire Chicken. Seafood Pancake: 3.8/5 Stars. The seafood pancake tasted good dipping with the soysauce with chili peppers they provided & the portion they give you is alot to share for 2-3 people. I would order this again! Spam Kimchi Roll: 4.2/5 Stars. It's something simple but still taste delicious. The rolls are big, but I wish they added a little bit of more kimchi flavor because I can barely taste the kimchi in the roll. Steamed Egg: 2.7/5 Stars. The steamed egg was okay, wasn't anything that wow'd me. I had better steamed eggs at different places. The steamed egg had no flavor, could barely taste anything. Wouldn't recommend it. Cheese Fire Chicken: 5/5 Stars. This is a new dish they added, I would recommend getting this dish. The flavor of this dish was amazing. The chicken was soft, covered with cheese & the sauce they put under the chicken was amazing. It has a really small kick of spice but it tasted so good. I dipped my seafood pancake, eggs & the roll with the sauce on the bottom. Overall, I give this place a 4.1 Star. I would come back & try more new items they added to their menu! read more

Ordered this tonight through GrubHub for me and my boyfriend. We got: Bibimbap (1/5) -- First time having bibimbap and this was extremely underwhelming. The sauce mixed with everything had a very peculiar, unsettling flavor but the amount you get is just okay for the $18 Chicken Wings Kalbi Sauce (3/5) -- The fries that came with these were possibly the saddest I've ever tried. The sauce was on the sweeter side and I could taste a lot of sesame oil. They were unfortunately soggy by the time they arrived. Seafood Pancake (3/5) -- good flavor of the pancake and sauce, but so soggy by the time it got here. At least it didn't fall apart when we ate it and there was a healthy amount of seafood I'd definitely give this place another chance for in person dining because if fresh out the kitchen, the seafood pancake and wings would be spot on. read more

If you are looking for some late-night munchies and drinks, this is your place. Dae Bak is great for those nights you want to go out but not to the bars. Parking: There is a decent amount of parking. They have a small lot in front of the restaurant and a small one in the back. Food: The food is pretty good. I would recommend their fried chicken and japchae. Food is on the expensive side, but the portions are pretty big. We had a group of four and ordered about three things and it was enough for all of us. Drinks: The drinks here are amazing! They serve soju in fruits! I would highly suggest getting the pineapple soju. It is delicious! It's also the only place in the area that does this. The rice wine is also pretty good. It has a nice fizzy component to it. Service: Service is great here! They are super friendly and attentive. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. If you sit indoor, they have a call button on each table. Overall I would recommend this place for anyone that wants great drinks and food. read more

FIVE STARS for the service I had today. I come here quite often since they are open late, and I love the food here. This is my other go to spot for late night food and drinks! I love that they have cocktails and you can even get a soju cocktail in a watermelon or pineapple which you can't get anywhere else (not that I know of). Although I've been here many times, I have never written a review until I met the server Andrew! My bf and I thought he was the nicest guy ever. He was seriously so sweet from the start, we were like "dude where has he been?" He gave us so many recommendations (loved them all), and talked to us as if we were his friends. He's so kind and had a positive attitude, loved his energy! Thank you for the great service, we will def be coming more often. Another thing I appreciated was that he asked if we had any food allergies for whatever we ordered. Heres my review for the food: MUST TRY: 5/5 JAPCHAE, no matter what I always have to get the jap chae here. The noodles are cooked perfectly, super chewy and soft it's also tasty without it being too oily or salty. I love that there's a good amount of meat + veggies. Fried chicken w/ spicy sauce on the side: 5/5 to be honest, I was skeptical about this because I didnt know if Id like the sauce to be on the side. Plus in photos, it looks very plain and simple but this was the BEST wings I've had in a while. It's so crunchy and so juicy. The moment I bit into it the juice was dripping out and burned my lip so be careful Also..the wings are huge and I like that it comes with a few fries. The sauce is more on the sweet side, kind of like yangneom style chicken. I'm going to try the kalbi or garlic sauce next! Beef soondubu: 5/5 The soondubu here is delicious. I'm always craving it! Definitely get it HOT, Its not too spicy and has a lot of flavor. This hits the spot, not too many korean places that open late sell soondubu. Steamed egg: 4/5 can't go wrong with this one! It's so simple yet good. Daebak fries: 4/5 I lovee fries, and this dish is huge and comes with cheese, sour cream, ranch (I think), a kimchi mayo, and jalapeños. The kimchi juice can be overwhelming/soak in then fries so I'd recommend getting it on the side. Tteokbokki with ramen: 4/5 ADD CHEESE! Definitely a game changer. Can't go wrong with tteokbokki! Corn cheese: 3/5 the corn cheese is great + buttery. It's slightly sweet! The only downside is that its not as creamy, just corn with cheese. I feel like if this had mayonnaise it'd be perfect. Seaweed eggrolls: 3/5 this one is good for a crispy appetizer, but I would pass if you already have jap chae. This one is more like an eggroll with glass noodles inside of it. Seafood pancake: 3/5 this is a hugeee portion of seafood pancake. Definitely get it if you have 4 people or more! Grilled mackerel: 2.5/5 for this dish, I can't tell if I like it or not. I felt like $17 was overpriced for what you get, and wish it was pan seared rather than fried. It was also a little bit salty. However, I still like mackerel and enjoyed it, but I don't think ill get this one next time. read more
Dae Bak is a great time! I have been wanting to try this place for awhile and it did not disappoint. My favorite dish if the night was the fire cheese chicken. The menu had tins of great choices and the service was friendly. Parking is legit a pain here so keep that in mind. read more
