I should have told them I will not pay $45 plus tip for this. Somehow it ended up being a total of $60 after the tip? So that feels shady as hell. This is the worst nail work I've ever had in all the years getting my nails done. After thinking about it, I did not see the lady who worked on me, post a license anywhere near her work station. Is she even trained properly??? The first photo is what I asked for ....I should have stopped her after the multiple times she filed the side of my fingers instead of the nails. Super painful!!! Especially when she did the dip powder afterwards. The burning while under UV light was a terrible feeling by the way. I am hoping I don't get an infection from this. The hygiene between tools is questionable. The shaping is terrible. The application of gel nail polish is the worst ..my 9 year old could have done better. It's bumpy on different parts, as if the nail shavings dropped back on it somehow? I have to go somewhere else to fix this ASAP. I cannot go back to work Monday with this mess. In hindsight, I should have asked to talk to a manager and that's on me. However, I was pretty upset and in shock about this whole experience and just wanted to get out of there. I'm not sure I can trust anyone that works here. I have multiple minor cuts on my fingers from it being basically grated on from the file. Never going back here again. For what it's worth, my friend has been coming here for a long time and has never had a bad experience. She has never had the lady that worked on my nails, work in hers. I'm honestly really disappointed with my experience here. I got a basic manicure and pedicure with regular polish, and everything started chipping within a day--which is unacceptable, especially since I don't do any kind of manual labor. My at-home manicures last longer than this. The polish application was uneven, streaky, and overall very blotchy. It looked rushed and poorly done. My pedicure experience was even worse. The technician seemed distracted after having a disagreement with the previous customer, and it showed in her work. The service felt very performative--she applied scrub but didn't actually massage or work it into my skin, skipped lotion entirely, and barely spent time on my feet. At one point, she even scratched me with the pumice stone by dragging it harshly across the bottom of my foot. They also don't offer disposable sandals, which led to my freshly painted toes getting smudged almost immediately. That alone was frustrating. I won't post my toes but it's just like my manicure. While the person who did my manicure paid more attention to my cuticles, the polish itself was just as bad--thick, stringy, and clumpy. It honestly seemed like the salon uses low-quality or old polish. The most concerning part, though, was what I witnessed regarding sanitation. After finishing with a client, tools were rinsed in the sink, placed back into the same "sterile" sleeve, set on the same towel in their cart, and then transferred into a new sleeve. That completely defeats the purpose of sterilization. On top of that, I realized afterward that a drill bit was used on my nails without being changed out for a new one. I rarely leave negative reviews but this one involves safety. This is probably my 4th time visiting this establishment and all visits have been for a full set of acrylic nails and gel pedicures except this today's visit. I was a walk-in this morning with only one other customer being helped. I asked if they had time for a manicure/pedicure and they seated me right away. The staff was very friendly, as always, and offered me something to drink. A kind woman asked me which level of service I would like and I replied with just the basic manicure ($30) and pedicure plus gel polish ($45). She asked if I wanted to try the powder dip as it was just as strong as the gel. I said okay. She began on my pedicure and another gentleman came over and began roughing up my nails with an electric file. When all was said and done, my pedicure was moderately well done and my fingernails were full of hardened powder underneath. My cuticles were not trimmed and still raggedy. When I mentioned this to the man, he took his own fingernail and started to try to clean the stuff under my nails. He said it would come out when I washed my hands so I asked to go wash them. He stood by me and had me use a brush to get underneath but that didn't resolve all of it. At that time he offered me a metal nail file to dig it out. Most of it was stuck to the skin so I spent quite a while at the sink scraping. I asked him if he was going to address my cuticles and said he had electronically filed them down already. At that point I just wanted to pay and get out. He rang up the price at $95. When I questioned the pricing he said the powder dip was $20 more. I said I can understand that but I wish they had been up front about the increased cost and I would have just stuck with gel and I was very unhappy with the stuff stuck under my nails and rough cuticles. He grabbed my hand and insisted I sit back down so he could fix my cuticles. At first I declined as I really just wanted to leave and be done with it. He offered a discount and I also declined and said I would pay full price and lesson learned that I need to ask ahead of time. Once again he grabbed my hand and heavily insisted I sit down so he could fix my cuticles. During this whole interaction he maintained being kind. I hesitantly sat back down and he brought a bowl of water for me to soak my fingers in. Okay, here's what I feel was unsafe: He pulled a cuticle cutter out of his cart and set it on the counter. I could see a substantial amount of someone else's cuticle clippings still stuck to the cutting edge. He reached for them and I pointed out the skin. He said, "oh," then set them aside and grabbed another from his cart that was in the manufacture sleeve with dust in it and attempted to use those on me! I was literally taken aback and asked why he didn't have any sealed, sterilized clippers. He just blankly stared at me and I said I wasn't comfortable and just wanted to pay and leave. Another woman rang me up for $80 and I left a $10 tip for the lady who did my toes. This has me questioning how often they sterilize their instruments. I will not be returning. read more

I wanted to love this place and at first, I did. Jennifer is amazing at pedicures and I would still recommend her - however, they have done me wrong recently. After coming in every few weeks for six months I noticed if I made an appointment via the phone or online, that it wasn't really an appointment. I still had to wait until Jennifer was done with her last pedicure. It was a little frustrating, but I went with it. On Sunday late afternoon, I was going to head to the salon to get my nails dipped (started this about a month ago) but I realized they closed early on Sundays so instead I made an appointment online for Monday at 5:30 pm. The appt was confirmed and I was even sent a text message reminding me of my appointment. I drive to the salon and I arrive and they are CLOSED. What? I was very disappointed. The next day I called and asked for the owner/manager and was told they would be in on Wednesday. Well, I got busy on Wednesday so I tried calling on Thursday - every time I called it went straight to a message saying the voicemail system had yet to be set up. So I figured the technicians blocked me and didn't want to get caught leaving early on a Monday night. So....still trying to give it another chance - I booked another online appt for Thursday evening - AND IT WAS CONFIRMED. I arrived Thursday evening and they were CLOSED - again. So I am done. I looked across the street and saw Model Nails in this tiny strip mall. I drove across the street and this lovely woman Diane was waiting for me and did an excellent job on my dipped nails. Highly recommend. I've literally been searching on yelp for a new nail spot because I knew time for a very much needed pedi was approaching. This morning Aug 14th I was actually on my way to a nail spot across the street, when DAHLIA NAILS caught my eye, so I made a U-turn and went inside. Before I go on, I've been on hunt for a "low key" with affordable prices. By low key I mean a spot that doesn't take customer after customer just trying to get u out of the chair ASAP while sacrificing the quality of your visit. A spot that doesn't get super loud, crowded & busy- but a place you can actually relax.. That is what I've been longing for not to exaggerate but lately that's become rare with nail shops. Today I can genuinely say that I've found my place, as im parking I noticed a few cars which I took as a good sign. As I walk in this lady asks what I want and then tells me to pick a color as I wait. I wait for 10 mins maybe a little longer, which usually I don't like waiting but I didn't mind especially since the vibes and environment seemed really promising. It seemed really calm and the inside was furnished and decorated really pleasantly. And I had noticed that the reason there was a wait was because there were only 4 workers that were doing pedis, not every chair was occupied and had a worker waiting there, which set them from other shops I had been to. I appreciated that because I took it as they're not money hungry, trying to fill every seat like I've seen other shops do. The wait was well worth it, and they have the best prices I've seen this far. I feel like they actually give u what you pay for, they have a variety of pedis and super nice selection making everyone feel special regardless of your budget. I chose the jelly pedicure because I've always been intimidated to try it at other places because of the price but I saw that here they had it for only $60 which I thought was amazing and really well-priced so I went with that. They have 4 scents to choose from, I chose Cherry Sage which smelt unbelievable and I do highly recommend jelly pedicure specifically in Cherry Sage, You have to try it at least once in your lifetime! I didn't catch his name but the guy who did my pedicure was super chill just did his thing and let me relax and the massage chair was really nice too and actually seemed really good quality like nice cushioning on the massagers vs when u can feel the machine jabbing you. The massage was really nice and my polish itself came out cute, and I WAS SUPER RELAXED. I'm in love.. finally my search is over. The nail shops I had been going to had made me feel so disposable as a customer and actually made me dread getting pedis because of how hectic and busy they would be. THAT IS NOT THE CASE HERE. Super nice and laid back, they play relaxing spa music and have underwater sea life playing on the TV. OVERALL 10/10 . So with the Jelly pedicure my total came out to $75 because I got Gel, but I still think they have the best prices and with everything considered it is WELL worth it. read more

My husband and I walked in for pedicures on. Saturday afternoon, and we didn't have to wait long to be seated. The staff was very friendly and we loved how clean the business was! Pedicures, manicures, and I got gel polish. The gel polish is the thinnest I've ever had and is so neat and clean! I always hate when polish feels heavy on my nails but these were done so nicely, I don't have the urge to peel them off. Feels just like a regular manicure. Very happy with the polish! I got a gel mani and the job overall was okay - a bit sloppy, but I've had worse gel manis before. That same night, my pointer finger started lifting. I tried not to mess with it so that it wouldn't chip since I just got them done. Two days later, a couple nails have started chipping. I'm disappointed, but I guess it was just unfortunate; I'm sure the worker did her best. She did spend her time cleaning my cuticles and making sure they were cleaned very well - I really appreciated that. The place is nice and clean. I came back for another pedicure since my first experience was so good, but this time it wasn't that great. I had to ask for the nail technician to remove dry skin. He told me that he will not cut my ingrown toenails which they did last time. I asked another staff member to assist with translating and he was adamant about not cutting my toenails. He did not cut the sides only the top; It was frustrating since they did it previously. He switched out with another staff member to finish my toes and I had to ask for another coat of paint even though it was obvious that they needed it. However, I asked for a design and it was perfect! The staff is very nice so maybe the nail technician that I got was just having an a bad day. I'll come back again and give it another try. read more

I live nearby so I decided to finally give the salon a try. Worst manicure I've ever gotten. I got a manicure and pedicure. No one greeted me as I entered, I had to go up to a woman who finally looked up at me then seated me. Two older men worked on me- one doing my pedicure and one on my manicure at the same time. They didn't speak much English. But the main issue is, they cut me a total of 4 TIMES. once on my toe with the cuticle cutter, which was the worst, my nail bed bled and the man didn't even say anything just tried to apply pressure thinking I didn't notice or something. And 2 other times on my fingers with the cutter, which stung, since I flinched that man actually acknowledged it and said sorry, but it still didn't take away that I was bleeding on 2 fingers. I was almost going to say I didn't want to continue on but then they did not understand what I was saying so 2 other workers came up to help translate and I let them look at my nails and they just applied their little ointment. I don't know how a total of 4 workers could see this and think this was a decent manicure job, says a lot about the business. But Cuts ASIDE, The pedicure was not bad, but the manicure was terrible. I'm not even sure how many manicures the man had done as it literally looks like I did it myself. And then when I pointed out that there was polish on my cuticles he got the dremmel and tried to dremmel the mess off my skin and it burned my cuticle so bad I bled again. So instead of trying to wipe off the mess with alcohol or something else, he thought dremmeling it with such pressure that would be best. Making me bleed. I was so mad. I still tipped too. Wow. So not happy with my experience. It started out great but I left unsatisfied. I had dip on my toes previously and they weren't removed all the way. I could still see the tint and texture left over. They also didn't tell me until after the fact that it was an additional $10 charge for removal. Once he was "done" I noticed that my nails looked bumpy because of the left over dip powder. Someone else came and added another later of polish in attempts to hide it. When I was leaving and paid, I was told next time come with it already removed or pick a darker color so it doesn't show through. read more

I spent 3 and a half hours here & paid $125 for a full set and pedicure. So I'll start by saying the staff is really nice. They're very kind & attentive. I did come in here on a day my allergies were absolutely killing me so I was getting some side eye for coughing & having a raspy voice. They even had me put on a mask, which was fine. I should have did that anyway given the current situation in the world & no one being able to tell the difference between allergies, covid or a simple cold. Anyway, my toes came out great! Very clean and nicely shaped. However, I paid for a deluxe pedi & I'm pretty sure she skipped the paraffin wax & next, on to my nails.. she soaked off my old set very neatly, but the new set she did was just not it. You can tell by the pic. The V shaped lines are all uneven (even my bf could tell & he's a guy!), the coffin shape doesn't look very coffin, the acrylic layer is thick & the part that got me the most is that you can literally see my natural nails underneath!!! Like why didn't she use a darker clear pink or at least do another coat?? I paid $75 for a full set I'm not even happy with. Pretty safe to say I will not be coming back here & sticking with my regular nail lady. read more

I was treating my husband to his first ever pedicure. I have experience with every salon in Land Park area over 40 years. I myself, have been to Dahlia and have requested services based off their website. When I asked for the special pedicure with the 30 minute extra foot rub they told me they have never heard of it. Ok fine.. This is why I printed off the service I selected for my husband, to show the employees what he wanted. Highlighted and circled in red. So when I sent my husband, he brought the website print-out - it showed the special pedicure with the 30 minute foot rub for a certain amount of money - $65 Long story short, the lady acted like she couldn't understand english , even with pictures of the services provided on website. She said, yes sure, but ended the pedicure after 45 minutes. He was like what about the foot rub and she pretended like she had no idea what he was referring to. Don't have it on your website if you don't provide it. Super simple way to keep customers - offer what you advertise. And a super easy way to get in trouble if you advertise services that you don't provide! read more

I don't even know where to begin with this place but here I go. Let me start by saying that I love supporting local businesses. I have not found a nail salon that I've really loved so I wanted to give this salon a try. I will never make that mistake again. I had made an appointment online the day before I went in. I booked an acrylic soak off since I had a full set and no longer wanted them. I also booked a regular gel manicure. When I walked into the shop, I was greeted and asked what I would like to have done. I let the lady know that I had made an appointment online and let her know what I had requested. I was then taken over to a station where a different lady assisted me and began the acrylic soak off. After quite some time of using tools to remove some of the acrylic, I was then asked if I wanted my nails cut down or just filed. I responded by saying that I would just like them to be filed so they would all be even. The lady said okay. Not too long later, it seemed as though she was moving along with the manicure but my acrylic nails had not been taken off like I had asked, so I brought this to the lady's attention. The lady that had originally greeted me came over and asked if there was a problem and I explained once again what I had asked for. She spoke to the lady in another language and then proceeded to tell me that they were unable to take off the nails. I said that I was confused because that's what I had requested in the beginning and if I had not brought it to their attention, they would not have told me. So the original lady who greeted me sat down at the station, used a different tool and took off some of the nails but again, not all of them. When the other lady came back she started filing my nails and cut my left pinky. I yelled out "Ow" because it really hurt. The other lady came over and they both would not stop laughing. They spoke in another language again and then they both said "sorry" while laughing a lot again. Their apologies were clearly not genuine as they were laughing, which was incredibly rude to me. I was asked to go and wash my hands and when I did, the cut stung so bad with the water and soap so I said "ow" again. And once again, the lady started laughing again and said "sorry." When this terrible experience was finally done, I went to pay and after all of that I was charged $45. I could not believe it. I have never been the kind of person to not tip but you better believe that I did not in this situation. Other people may have had good experiences here and that's great but if anyone asks about my personal experience with this nail salon, I will absolutely share exactly what happened. I sincerely hope that all customers that go in there are not treated the way that I was and I will absolutely never go back again. read more

They offer you a cold water bottle as soon as you sit down. It's very clean and have a huge selection of colors gels and powder. I have been here 3-4 times and will continue to come back. Came into Dahlia yesterday with my mom, we did not have appointments but were helped right away. We were both given what are our favorite pedicures ever. Wonderful color choices, thorough services, and amazing results. Prices are very good in comparison to salons in the area. Very beautiful and spacious salon with friendly and efficient staff.....oh, and my eyebrows! I finally have the perfect arch and they took their time to really get my brows perfect.
