    Chocolate mochi donut
    Inverleith F.

3.5 stars for our first visit to Dainty Donuts. The outside signage is colorful and drew us in. Having read some of the reviews comparing this shop to the previous one, I can't comment on that. Hubby got a chocolate mochi donut and an apple fritter because the hunt for the best fritter continues on! The fritter is small and relatively flat which is a good way to get a good crunch. The not so good is that there's not many apples but the taste of cinnamon and nutmeg is solid. Hubby thought it cost close to $4. The mochi donut was okay. We can't help but compare to Hawaii. Yep, spoiled! The glaze is the traditional chocolate donut glaze which is too sweet for our tastes. It was a good chocolate flavor. Great shop, easy parking and friendly staff so please support them. If this is your go to spot, thank you! It's always a benefit to have a local donut shop versus Safeway.

I regret not buying all the cinnamon mochi donuts I've seen here... so good! Love the texture. Not too sweet, decent price for what it is, and slightly larger than most mochi donuts around the area. Come early for the apple fritters and cruller style donuts. I tried going here after OTF and the person in front of me got the last crueller, and that was the last one! Tried again at the same time a couple weeks later, and there were no more crullers and was told those and the fritters were really popular. I guess I wasn't dedicated enough to stop by before my Sunday workout. Plenty of options, be surprised and try whatever they have. Old fashion donuts, sprinkle cake donuts, various glazes (chocolate, maple, etc), cinnamon swirls, bars, etc. I've just tried a pistachio mochi donut, cinnamon mochi donut, and a maple glazed donut. All were pretty good. Was a bit over $8 for all three. Small place, kind people. Would def get more donuts/try more donuts next time. Seems they have different stuff each time I've stopped by. One day I will be there early enough for a cruller!

What a delicious surprise, family came home with a variety of yummy donuts and I was shocked how delicious each one was. The apple fritter has an amazing cinnamon flavor, the cereal donuts were great and highly recommend the mochi donuts, you can't go wrong!

First time trying the donuts and they were really good. Their soft, cloud-like texture will have you floating on a sugary cloud. The orange and blueberry were my favorite.

Wow wow wow Came here for the first time and i'm impressed. Everything here is made fresh daily (you can even watch the bakers at work!). I got a dozen assorted and i'm glad I did. The classics are perfectly done: light, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweetness! Their new mochi donuts are a must-try: chewy, slightly crispy, and available in fun flavors that rotate regularly!! The staff are incredibly friendly each time and you can feel the care and passion behind every item. If you're in the area, this gem is a must-visit!

My gosh. So welcoming. So proud of the shop, its products and their leadership. I hope the owners know. First timer here and I spent $52. I'm big big big on energy and customer service and you both broughttttt it. Being 38 when I visit these very trendy IG worthy spots, I'm usually disappointed- if not by the coffee or dessert, most definitely by the customer service. Read all my reviews, it's my first comment usually. To the owners reading this, seriously give a shout out to these lovlies. They started my day on the right foot. Xoxo Can't wait to see what you bring back from Taiwan (see the guys shared where you are- sure to make the matcha and mochi shop even cooler). I'll come back soon! Kathleen

I'm not waiting more than 10 minutes while their employees peacefully stand around and refuse to take orders. This has honestly happened every visit, but I've had enough today. Their year-round menu is lacking, and their lychee drink does not hold up to other new matcha store openings. If they want to stick around with their prices and terrible customer service, they seriously need to step it up. Workers are rude and unkind, they look disengaged and so bored. I won't be supporting this business again, except to redeem all my points.

They get a third star because of the bar! Now there was only one person working there and that's fine because he could go get a snack or something and come back to pour drinks, but again.
