Absolutely, without a hint of any doubt, the most interesting Dairy Queen on the face of the earth. The dining area of this Dairy Queen is in a separate building from the kitchen. The two buildings are separated by a small outdoor eating area. The kitchen looks as though it was built at a time that it could have been patronized by a young Hank Williams and Audrey Sheppard just moments before they were married a few steps away at John G Wright Sr.s garage. The 'dining building' is a true throwback to a by-gone era. Adorned with relics from restaurants of the past, it's as much a museum as a restaurant. You won't find any Formica tables here, only heavy solid oak furniture will match this decor. There are even pint-sized picnic tables with painted-on table cloths for the kids. As for the food, it's standard Dairy Queen. Good quality, quick and courteous service. If you're in Andalusia, I highly recommend stopping in to see this one of a kind Dairy Queen. There will be no "Tear in your Blizzard" (sorry Hank).

Slow service. Food is good. Exactly what you would expect from a Dairy Queen. Quaint small town feel.

Our order--which included 40 wings, 2 drinks, and 2 quarts of sides--totaled $78. The food was a hit! My parents especially loved the wings, noting that they are a good, substantial size. The side dishes were mostly well-received: my stepdad enjoyed both the baked beans and potato salad, while my mother loved the baked beans but wasn't a fan of the potato salad. Customer service was great over the phone, and the order was ready in just 25 minutes. A solid choice for takeout!

I ordered a cheeseburger, onion rings, and a Diet Coke. When the plates arrived, I noticed that the bun was huge, but the burgers were small. If they were going to use such small burger patties, I think that they should have used small buns. The burger was good, but had lots of useless bun around it. I tore the bun off and left it on my plate. The onion rings were good, but not plentiful. I think that I had 6 or 7 onion rings. My husband's burger was the same as mine, huge bun and small beef patty. He had French fries, and I think that there were only 7-8 small fries on his plate. The drinks that we were served were in large cups with plenty of ice and were delicious. The dining room looked dark and dusty. Perhaps a fresh coat of paint and a good scrubbing would make the restaurant more appealing. We were sitting at a booth when a man came out from the kitchen. He started talking to the couple who was seated behind us. He was loud, crude, every other word was a curse word, and was generally obnoxious! He wanted to be noticed, and he was! He stood behind our booth talking about motorcycles for more than 15 minutes! The couple that he was talking to thought every thing that he said was funny. My husband and I DID NOT. Someone who was from that business should have told him to sit down, be quieter, and to not curse! This was our first and our last visit to Golden Rule Bar-Be-Que!

Not all the tables were cohesive or matching. They have sides on the menu but they are not priced if you want to add a side, to your wings. Time it took to get our food was 45 minutes. The salad bar was horrendous as they did not have much of a selection and some of the items look spoiled. It was interesting that everything was in metal buckets. The steak and gravy, was a bit too salty. The wings were very under seasoned, dry and overcooked. There was no paper towels in the restrooms. No hand sanitizer either. The floors were not very clean. The bright light was our waitress! She was moving quickly to all her tables. She was friendly and kindly. This is a first review of this restaurant. I will go back someday and when I do I will update my review.

(Comes with no sides as they consider the grits and etouffee as the sides.) Very bland/unseasoned grits topped and with a couple of small grouper fillets and crawfish etouffee that had a few small pieces of crawfish. This "special" came in a bowl with a literal ring of liquid butter/margarine/grease (whatever it was) floating on top. Disgusting. $85 (before $15 tip) for a very disappointing meal when compared to our previous experience.
