Just left the Dairy Queen on Montana. Ordered a medium Butterfinger blizzard. My usual order when we go there. In general, Dairy Queen does a not so good job of filling the medium Butterfinger blizzard. Today was worse than normal. The top of the blizzard was over an inch below the top of the cup. When my wife questioned that the girl that gave us the blizzard just said that is a medium and my wife said, well it's a medium cup, but it's not full. We want it full. So, got a dirty look from the server, the window shut, and she returned with about a half inch more ice cream in the blizzard a minute later. Dairy Queen likes to show one blizzard in the picture that is full of ice cream then serve another. Frankly, I'm tired of it. I won't be back to Dairy Queen on Montana for a while, and when I do go back, I'm done with ordering medium blizzards. Seems petty, I suppose, but I order a medium for a reason. read more

Horrible service served by an older gentleman and we asked for lids on the blizzards that were melting before handed to us and was told the owner told them two months ago they no longer have to tip upside down the guy handed us the blizzards and lids to do it our selfs which ice cream got all over us and our car! Service here has improved greatly over the last couple of years. Their blizzards always seems to be blended throughly. My food is always fresh and hot. Counter tops are clean. And I love taking my kids here, they get a treat with their meal! read more

My family and I stopped here on our way back to Butte. The workers here were friendly, were patient and did not have a tone of attitude in their voice. The food we got was super hot and quite good. The lady who might of been the owner, not sure, helped us find a route on a map (we're from Washington) that we needed to go through to get where we wanted. She was helpful! This place doesn't deserve a rating. We pulled up at the drive thru, we were half on half off the street, we waited about 20 minutes. When it was our turn, we were waiting for the voice, but none came. We heard garbage being thrown out, and saw a person climb in their jeep and leave. We decided to leave and find the place closed, it was just after 8pm, they're supposed to be opened until 9pm. Upon arrival the staff where swear and frustrated when we approached we where informed that the grill was down and no burgers today. Are you serious we tried to come in last week and the same darn thing was going on what kind of burger joint can't pay to have there grill fixed properly. I also noticed a sign saying how hiring all positions. The way the staff was so disgruntled and lack of repaires for kitchen appliances leads me to believe this location is quickly sinking. One star is truly too many. I need to preface that I have never posted a negative review for anywhere, EVER but this place is just ...shocking. The last two times we have been there when an older gentleman with facial hair was working the window and it was AWFUL. Ordered two cherry dipped cones.... He hands me two actively melting dripping cones with his hands covered in red. It's all over my car I had to ask for new ones. They fell fell right off the cones as he pulled away. We finally said forget it and left. 2nd time, ordered a cherry float. Same guy, he blended it up... I asked if that's the float and he sad "yah that's how they are now" ...um no sir. They aren't. So tonight, the kids begged to go, thought I'd give them another chance. Melted milkshakes for blizzards, dripping off the guys hand and into my car. I asked if the thin mint blizzard was supposed to be green (it was white) and he said "it has cookies in it doesn't it?" He took it inside and when he handed it back it was the consistency of water. Out of the two locations in Helena, this one is closest to me, so naturally I used to go there. I was treated rudely every time. All employees seem to be teenagers (not a problem usually) but these guys have obviously never been taught politeness. When I say rudely, I mean extremely. I've given them many chances. Unbelievable!! I stopped by the store on Father's Day to see if I could pick up a blizzard cake like the picture they had displayed in the store saying #1 Dad. The first gal had no idea what I was talking about even though there were two posters near the register. The second gal had to check in the back to see what flavor cakes they had. Of course they had none made up even though the store had just opened up and probably will face other customers through out the day asking for the same thing. They didn't have any cake I asked for in the flavor or size I wanted, so ended up getting two boxes of buster bars instead. We stopped here on a road trip. Had good memories of eating at DQ years ago. Well this place stomped on us and our memories with both feet. I understand that young people get their first experience with serving customers at fast food places. So let's overlook that. What was appalling was the store manager. While waiting to order, and even when seated at our table, we could hear him yelling - LOUDLY - at his young staff. Then when we waited way too long for our order and spoke with him. Instead of apologizing politely he blamed his "new guy" forgot to cook your fries. Really? Excuses and blame? How about this: when you realized our order would be delayed, you come out, tell us the wait will be longer and apologize. They are just kids working their first paying job. As the manager, you should be much more professional and learn some customer service skills. read more

Have been to this one on three separate occasions over the last two years. Every time it has sucked. First time it was rotten lettuce and the second was a messed up blizzard. This time we asked for no chocolate on our banana split and they put chocolate on it. Once we got it fixed and got home the first bite of the banana was disgusting. On the bright side, however, they managed to procure two perfect large chocolate/vanilla swirl ice cream cones. Overall, this is your average DQ. Seems every trip I take to this Dairy Queen is such a let down. Their menu does not reflect what they actually have. They can't seem to blend their ice cream well. There's a problem with their grill so no burgers served, which is most of their menu served. You spend 5.00 on a blizzard to have them fill it 3/4 of the way, a true rip off. Just so disappointed anymore in this DQ. Seems as if you want to stay open there needs to be a major change in how this business is run. Not sure I'll ever go there again. read more

Though I am not much for fast food, I came for the DQ ice cream cake. The two gals on duty the day before New Years were awesome! Thinking you get the ice cream cake at the last minute for freshness, I really needed to allow more days for the design or additions that we wanted. In spite of that, the gals at this store made my dad's 81st bday cake amazing! They designed a golf scene by hand and added his favorite ice cream to the basic cake. We had over 45 people at his party and so many asked about where we got the terrific ice cream cake. Thank you ladies and Happy New Year! read more
