The restaurant was very clean. The customer service was good. I did feel that everything took a little bit longer than it should have. I believe the restaurant felt the same way, since they offered me a free ice cream cone for the wait, which I declined because I didn't feel it was necessary. The food was good, about what you would expect from Dairy Queen. I like the location and there is ample parking. If you're in the area, I would definitely say you should stop by. Stopped in this Dairy Queen in Sutherland to use the restroom and get a Butterfinger Blizzard as a treat while I wait for my car to charge. Restrooms are small and decently clean for a fast food restaurant. Around 8pm, there were quite a few people charging their cars at the Electrify America Charging Station in their parking lot. There was also a fair amount of people in/out of the restaurant. There were a fair amount of workers, but I waited about 5 minutes before my order was taken. The whole time I was waiting, no one acknowledged me to let me which is pretty poor service. Once my order was taken, the blizzard did come out fairly quickly. The guy making the shakes and blizzards was probably the hardest worker in there. Overall, it's a decent place to grab some food while driving through the area or while your EV is charging. read more

The employees are good, the food is good, it's your dining room. It is definitely time to remodel. The smell of mold and mildew is overwhelming. The place needs help. McDonald's and recently Burger King have remodeled. Burger King is beautiful now. Dairy Queen is one of the better fast food places and it would be nice to eat in the dining room. read more

This location really skimps! I get a medium Sundae in Medford and Ashland pretty regularly and the serving here was equivalent to a small. The blizzard had very little snickers and was mostly ice cream. They must figure since it's mostly travelers and not repeat customers that they can make more money skimping on product. The blizzard was runny and with barely any toppings in it, she didn't flip it. I'm fine with a messy blizzard but when we went to stir it it was very unmixed with hardly any heath bits it. When politely mentioned she refused to acknowledge anything was wrong and was very rude. Terrible service. We ordered 5 small blizzards in the drive thru. When we got to the window, the employee literally shoved one after the other out at us, with ice cream dripping down the sides. She didn't identify which was which flavor, she didn't turn them upside down. It was rushed and messy. For $25 it was a pretty crappy experience. I'm really not sure how I've never written a review for this place. I've literally been here more than 50 times .... explanation coming soon! 99% of the time I've used the drive through. They are always friendly, and if there is a line, they get through the customers pretty quickly. Now a big plus one on the stars for me, if you've got a pup (works better with a big dog) and they see them, they will typically ask (if not busy) if they can give the pup a little treat. A vast majority of the time they actually want to give it to said pup. Really cool that they take care of the pooches that way. Stuff is always made fresh and to order and is of good quality. I've been to other DQ locations that don't fill blizzard cups very full and/or put very little of the toppings/mix ins inside the blizzard, not the case at this location. They always do an adequate mixture. For me, I' haven't had any bad experiences here and I'd recommend these guys. read more

This little dumb I-5 town has one of the best DQ's I've ever been to. The local teenagers that seem to hang out here every time I pass through are little annoying, but who cares? I'm here for 15 minutes max. Just enough time to scarf a burger and get a blizzard. Did somebody say blizzard? Oh yea.. I did! They make the best blizzards here. The are packed full of toppings, and are mixed thoroughly, so you won't get any plan white spots as you near the bottom. I work in the food industry, and that's kind of gross. I just asked for another spoon, and it was all fine. My food was kind of cold as well. The service was ok. Tuesday, August 8th I went through the drive thru of this location and ordered 6pc Chicken Strip Basket. The chicken was so dry & salty.. it's terrible!!! It came with toasted bread which was soaked in nasty fake butter & fries. The fries were fine but I do have to say the most fulfilling was the drink.Ice cold Coca~Cola. I mean how can you go wrong with that? I only wish the food was better. I fortunately didn't have the horrible service experience that others had. Got back on the freeway before we realized after the first inch it was strictly vanilla ice cream no cookies. Called to talked tonthe manager and was givem a several excuses and told if we didnt like it to call corperate then she hung up. Very poor people skills and an even worse product. placed mobile order and payed ahead, when I went to pick it up they said they had closed. It was 7 o'clock, they don't close until 9 but they decided to close early that night. I told them what had happened and they told us they couldn't make us the food or refund us and we would have to come back the next day. The next day the manager told us he would refund us electronically by end of day. We waited two days and nothing had come into our account. We called and the manager in duty (the only helpful one) told us we had to come in and get a refund or a comp meal. This was not a problem but when we got there they acted like it was an inconvenience for them. As if if it weren't the other way around. This is a clean DQ and I would probably give it 4 stars, except everytime I come in (which is usually early evening around 7 or 8pm) the attentiveness of the very young staff isn't focused on the customer. Usually you have to wait at the counter for several minutes before they recognize that someone is waiting to be helped, or they finally stop ignoring that you're there waiting and they have to help you. One star because the Blizzards are great. Today, I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger with bacon. Did not get my bacon. Took burger and receipt to counter to get bacon. The manager took the burger and handed it to a worker who pulled his hands out of his pockets and grabbed the burger. DID NOT ONCE wash his hands OR put on gloves. He grabbed bacon from the pre-made bacon 'bucket' and put it on my burger and tried to give it back to me. This guy's hands were dirty and he still felt it was okay. The manager refunded the money for my sandwich, but did nothing else. She didn't make him wash his hands. Not one of the workers were wearing gloves. Don't eat here unless you want to get sick. Or just got a Blizzard, cause none of that comes in contact with them. read more

When you get off the freeway, DQ just jumps out in front of you...how can you resist when you are starving and the last thing you had was nearly 5 hours ago. Went inside and I was greeted by some very nice employees (high school/young college students). They were attentive to our needs and took care of us. And I spoke with a female supervisor who said the owners were on vacation and the girl that makes the pizzas has been off. Very nice Dairy Queen! We passed through here twice on a road trip to and from Medford. The first time we came they were out of chicken strips, but their chicken sandwiches were a very tasty alternative. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant (including the bathrooms!) was clean. We only picked up a blizzard on our way back, but it was very well made, and the service and restaurant were, again, in top condition. This place is really a gem; would visit again! read more

I stopped for lunch and to use the restroom. The restroom had a broken soap dispenser, the sink did not drain and the paper towel dispenser was empty. I went out to tell the help, with dripping wet hands, and was told, I know, the paper towels are empty as she turned away, went to wipe a table off and ignored me.
