After I got my order (which had 3 ice creams), they all came out melted, and one of them was wrong. One of the ice creams that was ordered was the Ultimate Chocco Brownie Blizzard thing, and it was replaced by some Blizzard with nuts in it. The drive through was even closed so I couldn't order from there. One last thing, and its back to ordering. I asked for it to-go, and they never gave me a to-go tray. I really love the value menu here. For $5 or $7 you can get a full meal WITH an ice cream sundae. It's not an oversized burger and large fries with crazy high calories that you may not be able to finish, but it is enough to fill you up with dessert to boot. After ordering at the counter, they'll bring the food to the table. I like sitting on the patio out front. I had a problem using their mobile app, the manager on duty was horrible. Kept telling me how it was all my fault and nothing she could do. I would like to say the service was great, I came in yesterday, when it was busy. There was this girl at the cash register taking orders and an older lady in front of me being a little rude to her. I could see her starting to tear up but she was very patient and kind to the women. I think someone said her name was Lilly. This is a great DQ it's bigger then most I have been in, and very clean as well! Nice patio for outdoor sitting! They have a very nice staff who was super helpful! They have one of those fancy digital soda machines where you can make your Mr. Pibb have cherry in it! This location is also the first one around to offer up the DQ Bakes which includes various sandwiches, melts, and hot deserts! Everyone in the world loves 2 things! Sleep and Ice Cream! I'm really surprised this place doesn't have more reviews. I live down the street and it's ALWAYS packed--even in the winter. Sometimes the line extends beyond the parking lot. The great thing is even with the long lines, the service is still pretty fast. What's pretty cool is they even serve pet treats. I had my dog in the car while I was running errands and they offered her a FREE treat! She really enjoyed her sundae. My favorite blizzard during the winter time is the pumpkin pie. Amazing DQ location right outside of Clive in Waukee. The store is clean and owner and staff are great!!! This is a grill and chill location with wonderful food and treats!! Love the warm bakes menu with melty cheese and warm hot fudge for desert. The style is newer more modern than some of the other area locations. There is plenty of parking and the lot and store are very well maintained. This is a great welcoming location with the awesomeness of being Dairy Queen. I would highly recommend coming here to satisfy hunger or a sweet tooth. read more

I had to have a Blizzard, because I'm a Blizzard addict. Is there a support group for that? Anyway, I went on a weekday afternoon and got a small Extreme Reese's Blizzard at the drive thru. The employees are friendly, and you can't go wrong with a Blizzard, although this one turned out to be not one of my favorite flavors - not enough peanut butter cups compared to the Reese's pieces. It needed more chocolate flavor. Blizzards are much better than Sonic Blasts, because DQ adds plenty of candy or whatever to their Blizzards. Blasts end up being 3/4 plain ice cream. If you love chocolate and caramel (and if you don't the terrorists have won), you can't go wrong with the salted caramel truffle Blizzard.
