La Postreria is a fancy dessert spot that also serves non-sweet food like sandwiches, coffees, etc…read more My wife, five-year-old daughter and I went for dessert on a Friday evening in July and got seats right away. Here's our experience: 1) Food: The dessert is beautiful and definitely impresses. However, we didn't love the flavor of our desserts. The "Caramelia" was not very good. The flavors didn't combine well and the "Cacaotal" was fine. Our daughter didn't finish hers, which says a lot. 2) Service: It's friendly, but it did take awhile for us to get our check. 3) Space: It's an open-air concept with seats on the patio and along the bar. It's designed well with an inviting feel.

We waited a few minutes for them to finish cleaning and setting up before they were able to take our order. The menu is straight forward, we ordered the 4pz option with azucar and canela, the cinnamon really does give it a better taste. Unfortunately, we were not fans of the soft/mushy/doughy inside. It honestly tastes a bit raw, but according to them, that is what makes them unique and it's supposed to taste like that.

This is a hidden gem located in the Sao Paulo section by the NH Collections hotel. Once exiting…read morethe NH, walk down to the bottom floor and tucked into the lower right hand corner is this chocolate shop. The chocolates are as good as any you'll taste from Europe and across the Americas. Simply grab a tong and some plastic bags and begin your chocolate fantasy journey. There are also all types of cookies and shortbread. If you are going on day trip outside of Guadalajara or downtown, stuff some sweets in bags and put them in your backpack or purse for later snacking. The lady behind the counter is very nice and polite but she does not speak English but was able to handle my broken Spanish with ease. This location doe take credit cards and serves coffee. If you just want to hang out in the patio and drink coffee with your short breads, you'll thank me later. Go find Arnoldi and fulfill your chocolate desires.
El chocolate en su máxima expresión
Uno no pensaría que en Arnoldi venden frappés, pero el de Baileys es buenísimo.

I was also able to try a mango and passion fruit slushee, and it honestly just tasted mexican bolis (syrupy sugar). So i would recommend you get a milk slushee instead of a fruit one. Would definitely return soon!
