DQ sign blocking 3 Tesla chargers for hours. Ruined my trip.
    Ned L.

Absolutely zero f's given about EV customers who drove hours to charge here. They want their new sign, and told a line of drivers to pound sand. Store is crowded, overpriced and bathrooms were dirty too. Worst charging experience ever.

If it's a hot day and I'm waiting for my Tesla to finish charging, I just might stop in here for a chocolate malt shake. The shake was decent for about 5 bucks, but man, there were a lot of flies everywhere!

    Chicken tenders combo

I haven't had Dairy Queen in so long and I don't even know if I've ever had a blizzard. Well, now I know that this place is delicious. I got the chicken tenders, garlic toast and fries combo. I chose the queso dip for the chicken tenders. The chicken tenders were delicious and surprisingly moist. The queso dip was so good and they actually give a good amount. They serve the queso dip warm, so it's nice and gooey. Garlic toast was nice and garlic buttery. The fries were made well and was light and crispy. I got a New York cheesecake blizzard with strawberries and oh my goodness was it good. There were chunks of cheesecake and strawberries throughout. The blizzard was sweet as expected, but it the spot. Maybe it's because the weather was 110 degrees Fahrenheit outside that I found it comforting.

I remember going to DQ as a kid but I don't ever recall their banana splits being worthy of a Yelp review. However, let me tell you, hubby and I LOVE these little dessert bowls of yummy sweet goodness and we can't stop talking about it. There's something about the three little perfect swirls of soft serve ice cream topped with pineapple, hot fudge and strawberry and whip cream, sandwiched between perfectly ripened bananas that we drool over every time we are at the river. This has been an evening staple for us when we are in the area and will return multiple times during the same trip. Selection is typical of a normal DQ, they have ice cream cakes, and other frozen treats in the freezer case that you can purchase. You can also place special order cakes (which seems a little weird because they are located at a gas station). There's sometimes a short wait since it's fairly small so there is limited staff, but we like that they are open late and that there's indoor seating available at Subway. Cashier is always friendly and service is quick.

They tried to tell me this is a subway ad.

Outside of this dq is a huge banner with a picture of some of the food items. My wife saw the breaded chicken salad in the picture and that is why we went there instead of Subway. The girl at the counter said they don't serve salads, that I need to go to subway for that. I pointed to the 10 X 12 banner right outside and she says "that's for subway." I responded "it has a giant DQ logo on it." They acted like I'm some kind of idiot and told me to go to subway (who does not have breaded chicken) I'm attaching the picture of the banner to show that I haven't lost my mind and that they were just clueless and rude.

    Blizzards!

My family and I are visiting Needles for the weekend and we bought blizzards twice. The customer service was great and the blizzards were delicious. Thank you for serving the crowd with a smile.

I went to the Dairy Queen in Needles, CA both on 2/3/2017 and 2/5/2017. I had never been there before. Both times it was because it is next to the Tesla Supercharger in Needles. The 1st time I had a large chocolate shake ($5.29), while the 2nd time I had a chili cheese dog (under $4.00). Shayna, who works there was very pleasant and helpful. Plus, I took a photo.

Walking in on a Friday afternoon during Lent, the place was buzzing. Orders flying, families dining, energy high. Yet somehow, it never felt chaotic. It felt alive. As a first-timer, I signed up for their rewards program on the spot, and that's when Casey stepped in. Friendly, patient, and genuinely attentive, he helped us redeem our introductory discount and guided us through the menu without a hint of impatience. That kind of service stays with you. And the food? Exactly what road-weary travelers dream of. Hot, fresh, comforting, and satisfying in a way that feels earned after miles on the highway. Every bite hit the spot. What stood out most was the balance. A busy location that still delivers warm, personal service and quality food without missing a beat. That's not easy to pull off. This wasn't just a quick stop. It was a reset. A reminder that great service still exists. I'll be thinking about this stop the next time I hit the road.

We were kept up for hours, jolted awake repeatedly. Good luck getting any decent sleep; earplugs won't cut it against this industrial racket. If you're sensitive to noise (or traveling with kids who need rest), this place is a nightmare. The pool and bar situation was even worse. Hundreds of locals and day-trippers who aren't even staying at the hotel swarm in to drink and party. The pool gets packed wall-to-wall with boozing adults, leaving zero room for our 6-year-old and 16-year-old to swim or play. I guess I should have anticipated this one. So my bad here. Then there's the ridiculous restaurant incident. I brought my empty insulated mug to breakfast to keep my coffee hot. The staff member outright lied to my face, claiming "Arizona law" forbids bringing in any cup--even an empty one. I checked: that's complete nonsense. Arizona's open container laws are about alcohol in vehicles and public places, not coffee mugs in a restaurant. If it's your petty house policy, just own it. Don't blame the government to sound official. The dishonesty left a sour taste. I tried to cancel my second night so I could go stay somewhere else and get some sleep. But they told me I can't cancel the second night because it's a holiday weekend. They said they can cancel my stay but there is no refund. I'm certain they could have rented the room out to somebody else tonight with ease. It's July 4th. It's primarily a party spot. So bring your party, but not your family, (or an empty insulated coffee mug). And absolutely DO NOT expect a good nights sleep at the hotel. I used to love stopping into this place. But after staying at the hotel and having this experience I won't be back again.
