They internally confused my policy amounts and weekly sent me statements threatening to take me to collections or cancel my insurance due to their accounting errors. Each manager assured me it was taken care of but wouldn't put it in writing. I have paid $180 in fees this month for there confusion with Breanas ins services which they said was the broker they used. They appear to be fraudulent. I would never use them again. read more

I am writing to express my frustration and dissatisfaction with the customer service I received regarding a payment issue with my policy under Peak Property and Casualty Insurance Corporation, part of Dairyland Insurance. I have been a loyal customer for over 8 years and have consistently paid my policy in full every 6 months. Unfortunately, a recent error in the payment method has turned into an unnecessary and time-consuming issue that could have been resolved easily. Three days before my payment due date, I noticed an error in the payment setup and immediately attempted to correct it. I first used the online chat feature, which provided no resolution, and was then told to call. When I called, I spoke with a representative named Alan. I explained that I wanted to switch from the monthly payment plan back to my usual 6-month full premium payment, and that I was still within the due date window to do so. Despite this, Alan insisted that the only option available was to proceed with the monthly payment plan and refused to assist in switching it back. I asked to speak with a supervisor, and Alan placed me on hold. In my opinion it was my bad, I did not choose the option to leave a review, so dissatisfaction didn't matter at this point. Still trying to resolve the issue, I called back and spoke with another representative, Ryan. He also told me that the only way to proceed was with the monthly payment plan and that I could later request a refund, though he could not tell me how much the refund would be. When I asked again for a supervisor, I was transferred to Miss Deby Brook. She was finally able to do what the other two representatives failed to, so to process the full 6-month premium payment as I had originally intended. While I appreciate Miss Brook's assistance, the level of resistance, lack of knowledge, and indifference I encountered from the previous representatives is unacceptable. I had to spend unnecessary time and energy just to complete a simple task, something that could and should have taken only a few minutes. I also requested that Miss Brook review my previous calls due to the poor service I received, but she didn't want to. This entire experience has been extremely disappointing. I expect better treatment from a company I've been loyal to for nearly a decade. This error should have been corrected immediately without making me feel ignored, dismissed, or inconvenienced. read more

When I called in, I had a discussion with a representative about if Dairyland was a registered vendor for DUI certification to receive my license back and was told yes the company was a certified vendor. And after paying for non drivers license driver's insurance that I told the rep I didn't have. I wasted a years worth of time and my money. Cause the insurance I was provided doesn't give me the credit that's needed and acknowledged through Penn Dot to receive my license back yet. I've been a loyal customer with Dairyland and have an SR-22 policy. I have my payments set up for auto pay with my bank because I don't check our mailbox, only about once a month for food coupons because every bill I have is set up for autopay to avoid any missed payments. Apparently on February 25, 2025 I didn't have the full payment of $147 available in my bank account that day. A letter was sent after Feb 25th stating "my payment had been returned". That doesn't explain much because I was thinking I had been overcharged and over payed and had a return payment. No, I received a letter from the DMV stating my insurance was no longer active and my license was suspended. Mind you I just checked the mail today, March 4, 2025. Yes I should check the mail more often but I'm a busy single mom. The mail isn't on my mind everyday especially since all of my bills are on auto pay. I called Dairyland immediately and asked to reinstate my policy as it had been a small mistake of not having the full funds available. Sarah, the representative on the phone was uninterested and not helpful at all. She said all she could tell me was that payment wasn't taken, I now know that. I asked if I could reinstate my policy as it had only been 7 DAYS that I was not covered and the insurance was inactive. She said there was nothing she could do and that there would also be a late charge of $95 for February and my only option was to pay that and start a new policy with a payment of $240. I don't currently have the time to research other insurance companies so I had no choice but to pay the charge and start a whole new policy which also affects my license with the DMV. Definitely not great customer service and I suggest no one buys insurance from Dairyland. Do not use Dairyland Insurance. read more

Upgraded my insurance with getting a newer car. For full coverage on a paid off car,they wanted upwards of $370 per month! We paid the difference, and were told that would cover me til the end of my policy (6 mo policy ending on Aug 11th). I called today (Jul 25th), as I found a lower rate (with Root) to cancel my coverage. They were happy to help me, but when asked if I had any further questions.... I asked about the difference coming back from the amount paid and was due to ending the policy early. I was told that I was only covered until tomorrow (Jul 26th) so there would be no money sent back to us. This was not what was discussed when the upgrade was made with the new car coverage. Someone insured by Dairyland hit my son nearly two months ago. The Dairyland claims rep assigned to the case, Jessica Cruz, has not returned any of our phone calls or responded to any of our emails. Our Progressive agent has even commented on his inability to reach anyone at Dairyland. And, not surprisingly considering what so many other reviewers have reported, Dairyland is trying to claim the accident was my son's fault, yet Ms. Cruz refuses to give us an explanation as to why. My car was damaged in April and it's now the end of July and I had to quit my job because I am finding out now after paying my deductible and monthly premiums that my car is a loss. I was ignored by my rep who only started looking into my case closer in July. He then called me a few weeks ago and said he isn't calling anybody any longer and he gives up on my case but when I call the dealership they said they haven't heard from him. So after I lost my car due to no longer affording to fix it and make payments I call and request to speak to his supervisor. Instead of the supervisor calling he called me back and basically told me he's been doing this for 8 years and because I'm "low on funds" I'm just gna talk to his supervisor and get him into trouble. I have lost so much money and am a single mother in a new town and was treated like I didn't matter when I did what was asked. I have Dairyland Insurance, which is the insurance I use on my Can Am Ryker motorcycle 2020. I was robbed at gun point on my motorcycle and I gave Dairyland Insurance all the documents (i.e., Police Report, Bill of Sale, and I got all the other documents they asked for notarized like they requested as soon as they asked). Now, I'm still waiting on my claim and they are trying to find anything to not pay out my claim. I have NEVER had to deal with an insurance company that took me through all of this unnecessary protocol. I'm the victim, of a crime but they are not treating me as such. Not to mention, I'm a woman that is TRAUMATIZED from being robbed and they have treated me VERY unprofessional throughout this whole ordeal. I do not own a motorcycle but this is the only page I can find dairyland insurance. Which uses the same name for auto. Been with Dairyland Auto for years and years. If you are like me and trying to save a buck. Dairyland WAS always the lowest price on broad form insurance, until I moved. That's right I moved, and rates when up over $120 more on my 6 month policy ONLY because I moved. Not because of tickets accidents of which I have none. Only because the area is more populated... If I was a bad driver, maybe I could understand a rate increase, but for moving to a different zip code, where there are more people? Sorry, but thats a nope from me. Besides in my state, everyone is required to have insurance. Why do I need to pay more to be driving with and around them? Found a company called National General that was only $4 more than more normal total from Dairyland. I would have stayed, but if a company worries more about other people than the client with a good record. Time to move on. Besides the sudden and unacceptable reasons for a price jump. Ever since the accident I have dealt with a sore and stiff back because of an accident one of your clients were responsible for. He himself may was not driving but he knowingly aloud a friend to drive that did not even have a CA drivers license, while he himself was a passenger at the same time. For people who are thinking about doing business with them, this is what I sent after there client dropped a large item on the freeway to cause this accident. After completing our investigation, Viking Insurance Company of Wisconsin has determined there was no coverage for the automobile accident. Therefore, we are unable to offer coverage for this loss and respectfully deny your claim. I did not give details on the date or the object this driver dropped because this claim is not over with. My car got totaled by someone insured by dairy land. It took me a whole day to get someone on the phone to start the claim. All this happened 3 month ago and they refuse to pay anything without giving a reason. When I call and ask for the claim they send me to a mailbox, but nobody ever calls back. Every 10th or so day (I call every day) I get through to a guy called Carlos who just keeps telling me that he didn't receive any documents although I sent them, faxed them and my insurance company did the same. All of the sudden Carlos said that he has never talked to me on the phone and that this is not his claim, but also can't tell me who is in charge. Bottom line is they don't want to pay and nobody cares. Now I really have to get a lawyer involved to get money for my totaled car, although the other driver did have insurance. On top of this really everyone I ever talked to in this company is extremely unfriendly. Please do others a favor and NEVER get insured by this company. read more

If you need insurance don't go with these guys! They are the worst company to work with. I've been riding for over 25 years and have never had this type of BS. They will bring out the fine print when you have to file a claim. I totalled my bike in June after hitting a cow and my buddy also crash when the cow jumped up and knocked him down. Long story short, cow was fine, my bike was totalled, so was my buddy but dairy scam came out with their fine prints and stated that my bike wasn't worth what I paid 9 months earlier and all the accessories I had on the bike was only worth penny's on the dollar. They were firm on what they offered and wasn't going to budge. If I took them to small claims court they were going to stop talking to me, transfer my claim to the legal department that was gonna put their full time attorneys to work. The rental coverage I got for $45/day was cut down to 20/day cause they don't rent bike and only allowed me a sub compact similar to a smart car. My buddy's bike wasn't covered cause dairy claims it wasn't cause by me?! It's been 2 months since the accident and I got a bill to renew my policy after my bike was totalled?! My only option was to cancel the policy. Go with someone who is local, pay the extra 100 or 200 more for the coverage and know what they are willing to do for you when you need to file a claim. The $100 you save won't matter when you're in the emergency room and your bike is scattered all over the road. Insurance are supposed to help you when you need them, this is not what I expected at all. You will be sorry that you went with these low lives. They don't even deserve a star for worse. read more

My car was rear-ended by (a very nice, very apologetic) lady who is insured by Dairyland. They apparently can insure high risk drivers or offer low-cost rates because they will do everything in their power not to pay out on a claim. First, they sent me documents claiming that I needed to sign off on their estimate and use of after-market parts in order for them to settle my claim (left that up to the repair shop), then, although I have called and e-mailed everyday to arrange for the rental car to which I am entitled, they simply don't respond. A few years ago, my car was totaled by a driver who ran a stop sign, and their insurance, Progressive, was prompt, courteous, and fair, so Dairyland is bad, even by auto insurance standards. read more

My husband and I were in my sister's car when a guy on the phone rear-ended us while talking on the phone. We were at a stop light. Totaled my sister's car. We agreed on the same $ for each of us. They paid her the money agreed upon but my husband and I keep getting the run around. They will not return any calls, faxes or e-mails. It will be a full year now in 3 days. I received a letter and a bill from Medicare for their service. The letter states that Dairyland sent me a check 2 months ago. Not so!!!! So I owe Medicare because there was a "settlement". I am now in collections for the bills (ambulance, therapy, dr. ect.) I don't know what to do. They will NOT RESPOND!!! They keep changing agents on the letters I get every 3 months. I purchased "full coverage" insurance from dairyland cycle insurance a few years ago. This year on September 24 my motorcycle (also my only source of transportation) was stolen. This happened on a weekend. I called the claims department which basically told me they are closed until Monday but I was able to report the bike stolen. In my policy it says I have rental coverage. They put the "gold endorsement" on there to make you think you have a great policy. I called them to ask about the rental and the claims rep said that my rep would not be in office until Monday but suggested I rent my own car with my own money and said they would reimburse me. Well I waited for a call Monday which never came. I called my rep and she immediately put me on hold. Twenty minutes later she picked back up and explained that since I have a gold endorsement that rentals are not covered if my vehicle has been stolen. They then sent me a packet which I had to fill out and have notarized and sent back. This said on it to return it immediately and even said I can't return it after a certain date. I got all of this done, notarized, and sent back immediately. It is now 10-17-2016. Almost a month later. I got mail from dairyland today thinking it would be a settlement. Instead it was a policy renewal with new insurance cards for a bike I no longer own which they know has been stolen. They auto charged my account for another month. I called to speak with my representative since they say no other person can access my claim. She has a voicemail saying that she is on vacation until Wednesday. In the meantime I have spent every last dollar of mine on rentals to bring myself back and forth between work and taking care of my terminally I'll father in law who lives 4 hours away and is dying of brain cancer. A person insured by Dairyland hit my daughter and totaled her car..... this happened on 12/14/2013 - we are still not completely settled - two months later. Dairyland was nice when they wanted us to immediately release the car to the company that purchases the totaled cars from them. They wanted this to happen immediately to SAVE THEM MONEY!!! We did so and then after that the professionalism was a JOKE! I noticed they used the WRONG CITY to give us a valuation on the totaled car --- they never answer the phone and the only way they would finally respond would be when I would email them with the READ receipt on the email. Terrible!!!!! Let me first start off by saying I have NEVER left a bad review or complained to a manager or anything like that. I am very understanding and know all Businesses have rules and people make mistakes, Etc. The fact that I am leaving this nasty review should show how disgusted I really am. My fiance had an SR22 he needed to continue to pay but no car. We went through Dairyland as they had a cheaper non owners policy. I paid for the policy on my card so we could do automatic payments. They sent a letter in the mail requesting information which I then filled out and sent back. Apparently they did not receive it. They did not email me, or send a letter, or call me. They just kept the money and cancelled the policy. After receiving a letter from the DMV that the policy was cancelled (without our knowledge)and my fiance having to pay a huge fine we finally got that fixed. I then had to call Dairyland and pay a ridiculous amount to get the policy started again. After that my fiance got a car so we went through a different company. When I cancelled, Dairlyland said everything was taken care of. However, 2 weeks later I noticed a payment was pulled from my account even though I cancelled 2 weeks ago. My fiance called and was told I would get a refund. Months went by and we received nothing. After calling several times, my fiance was finally told that they were keeping the money for a cancellation fee! That was never once mentioned to us and I was always told that they would talk to me before they charged my card for anything other than the automatic payments. Now when I'm calling trying to understand why there is this cancellation fee I know absolutely nothing about, they won't tell me because it's not my policy. Yet they have no problem charging my card! Absolutely ridiculous. I've had Allstate, Geico, Progressive, Liberty Mutual, you name it and have never had any issues like this or any ridiculous cancellation fees. The customer service is horrible. They take forever to answer the phone and by the time someone does you can clearly hear the attitude in their voice. Do not deal with this company.
