I asked why, and his response was that they come out at different times. Really? So I asked which one took longer, and he said it was the pasta. My next question: "I don't care if mine comes out before or after theirs, but could y'all just put mine in the oven about 10 minutes before the pasta is ready to be served?" His response: "That's impossible." Though I was frustrated, I left it alone. I figured it was a cultural thing. Cone to find out, it was a La Lanterna thing. Perhaps our server didn't like Americans? I ordered the Carbonara, which I expect to be excellent since I've had it many times in Rome and have made it from scratch myself... it was trash. I ate four bites and had to stop. I think they use cream instead of egg yolks. Also, they've decided to omit the prices from the "tourist" menu. Shady, boring and inedible. Do better.
