Carpet Right sells....drum roll - carpets (amongst other flooring types) and Harry Corry...slightly more - or less - imaginatively named (?) sells curtains. Well, not just curtains - it's kind of a limited home interior shop that focuses on fabrics and accessories. For instance curtains, bed spreads, lighting and cushions. So, it's nice and does it's deed. The range of products and stock is mesmerising - all sorts of colours and patterns can be found here; some are even pretty nice. The prices are extremely reasonable. The staff are easily to locate, pleasant, helpful and know their stock extremely well. So it's always a pleasure and never stressful. However, I'm not a fan of curtains (it's the age of the blinds after all) or cushions (don't even get me started - all they do is take up space and get in the way). Bedding and lighting I can appreciate but once you've got a few decent sets/items of these you don't really need more - do you? Thus, I'm not entirely sure if this place's purpose is entirely required. Yet, it's a great shop for what it is and obviously from time to time these items are needed. In these instances, I'd rather buy them from here than face Homebase or Asda that that shoddier 'shoved on' departments of these items. But that's where my positives stop. First up, for a so-called upmarket furniture store, I thought this place was actually really grubby. A bit of floor mopping wouldn't have gone amiss, and you'd have been wise to have removed the used coffee cups from your £400 dining tables. Secondly, your staff were not welcoming. We were given some really dirty looks by a certain member of your staff, and that was even before I'd (quite loudly) complained about the aforementioned coffee cups. And thirdly - a piece of your pretentious £350 "artwork" (you know the type, where someone has typed out a lot of cliched so-called life advice on a canvas in different fonts) had a pretty serious spelling mistake in it. And don't try telling me that was intentional. Next time I want to spend a large chunk of my hard earned cash on some furniture - I won't be doing it here.

Went in for the first time today because after reading those last wonderful reviews, I was overcome with morbid curiosity! Poe-faced Concept doesn't fail to disappoint on the arrogance front - although I wasn't given the cold, hard stare I expected from staff, I was largely ignored by them, which suited me fine since I could act like a fly on the wall and be left in peace. I obviously look poor - that's fine guys, it's entirely true! But you can't condemn a girl for dreaming! Since I've been subtly branded a poor working class girl, my cankered fingers had to surrepticiously reach for the price tag...I had to stop my jaw from dropping when I saw it was 150 quid for an EX DISPLAY lamp. Yes, that's right - Ex Display. Bugger off. Even if there ever comes a day when i have money to burn frivolously on items such as these, I doubt I would ever bother. Sure, they looked pretty but seriously, get real. If you were loaded, some trendy items in here may appeal - some of the stock is undeniably beautiful. Unfortunately, this place lacks the innovation and laid back vibe of Habitat, nor does it possess the charm and imaginative quirk of its West End rivals. It announces new arrivals in the window like we should roll out the red carpet for their overpriced (but, got to admit, nice) sofas - there's just something a bit off about this place. By all means go for a browse as they have some lovely stock but interior design competition has sprung up all over the place. So although Bo Concept may have been top dog a few years back, it's going to have to change its stand offish aura before it can attract a wider audience. And as Eleanor said, the richest people are quite often the least likely to flaunt it, so never judge a book by its deceptively dog-eared cover. You'll lose business if you do.

They have an amazing range of vinyls, linos (?) and all other cold floor coverings in an array of colours and patterns. I'm not that into my DIY and luckily the staff in here and really friendly and gave me very clear instructions on how to lay some vinyl (or something) in my tiny bathroom. After much huffing, puffing, the odd swear word and a bottle of red wine it was done! Good job done all round! The prices are very reasonable, there's a wide range of stock and they are also open seven days. Top marks.

My blinds were fitted by the son Philip after been given advice and shown many many materials by mum Mary. Kitchen worktop and sink and fittings were planned by dad James. I got back in touch last week and asked if they could make me cushions in the material and similar to my lounge blinds, they were made up in beatiful materials and cushions were duck down, really pleased with the result. My guy and I have decided to remodel our bathroom. Our flat is not quite 10 years old, but our…read morebathroom, although quite modern and done up, is not exactly to our taste, so it's project time. Not having the first clue about remodeling, we decided to leave it to the experts. On a typical winter day (pouring rain in fact), we shuffled in to the Bathstore just before the worst of the weather hit. We were greeted by three men sitting behind the reception desk working away on other people's dream bathrooms. We suggested we were going to have a wander around, but that we were in to buy, so we would want to sit down with them at some point. We were given a booklet of ideas and were told about the sales on at the moment, and were given our space to wander the showroom without being bothered. There's a lot here to look at. If you're looking to replace or remodel your current bathroom, this is a great place to start. They have all sorts of tubs, taps, showers and accessories available for your dream bathroom. Since our bathroom is quite big and a randomly odd shape, we (luckily) came with measurements and pictures to help James (the guy helping us) make up a quick blueprint of our bathroom so we could add things to our liking. Having had a system update recently, all the guys there were saying that it would take a few extra minutes to get used to their new systems, but we weren't in any rush to get back in to the rain, so we were ok with the wait. We were offered a tea/coffee and it was warm in the show room, so it was a nice experience. All the guys there were friendly and had chatty banter. We all had a few laughs. We were able to have a hands on experience where we could actually design and pick out exactly what we want, down to the exact placement of tiles and the direction our tub will be situated. It was a really fun experience! We decided we are going to replace our tub and shower, floor tiles and the back splash behind the tub. We were given a price and a timeline as to when instillation would happen, we put down a 33% deposit of the total price, scheduled for the installer to come take exact measurements and we were on our way out the door. Super simple process. After chatting last night, we decided we might go ahead and replace the toilet and the sink as well, just to have a completely new bathroom. Get in! This experience with Bathstore was a great one. I would highly recommend anyone needing anything bath related to check out this shop. Loads of very knowledgeable staff, friendly and inviting. I can't wait to go back in after the installer come out so we can finalise plans and get this job done!

Bathstore is a good sized shop with tonnes of displays so you can get some ideas and inspiration which is just what we were looking for. Generally, their range is really nice and they have all the bathroom stuff you could need, including floor and wall tiles which means we didn't need to go somewhere else. Their catalogue is quite thick too meaning there's plenty of choice around. We were just browsing and so we were pretty much left to our own devices which is fine. I'm sure we'll be back again for another look once we settle on the colour scheme we're going for. Prices seem quite reasonable with the limited research I've done so far!

We were doing some bed shopping on GWR and decided to pop into Clive Christian for a look. Ok,…read morethis shop is clearly for totally-minted people so we weren't going to buy anything but it was still a really interesting place. Firstly, it's not really a shop. It's more like a house which you wander through - there's a kitchen, dining room and bar, and then a clothes shop area out the back. The shop assistant was already serving someone so we didn't get an assistance but we were just nosing around really anyway. I can't say I ever see myself coming back here but that being said, the shop is super glam and fabulous so there's no harm in popping in for a look.
