We hired this company for AV equipment and fan rentals for a large corporate event in Frisco, Texas. Our original vendor canceled last minute (literally the day before the event), and these guys stepped in on short notice to save the day. They got us what we needed and showed up on time, which I really appreciated given the circumstances. The day of the event, a surprise rainstorm hit and forced us to move all the AV equipment indoors. I ended up disconnecting everything wrong during the scramble, and they were kind enough to send a technician out on the spot to help get things back up and running. That flexibility and responsiveness made a big difference. read more

This is the worst rental company I have had the displeasure of dealing with. Bad customer service and mediocre products. The owner is very, very unprofessional and shady. The story is too long but they basically did everything poorly. There is nothing good I can say about this company. I wish I could give negative stars. RUN!!! read more

I used this business for our event and do not recommend. The items I rented didn't look anything like the items on the website. The poor communication and follow through is below professional. The items we rented were scratch and wobbly they were not in good condition. Over priced for poor quality. We will not do business with them again. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. This is a bunch of skeevy people acting as if they're a business when all they're doing is scamming you. They won't refund me for my wedding when I don't need the chairs and it's TEN days away. It's not like it's the day before..that is plenty of notice. They said I signed some waiver, but they never told me there was a waiver to look for. You literally have to go through two layers in PayPal on your phone to find it at all. How am I supposed to know to look for a waiver that I was NEVER TOLD ABOUT. They're seriously a horrible "company" and I would stay as far away as possible. Wow. I don't want to vent my frustrations, but attached are the pictures of the chairs we rented for our wedding. They were supposed to all be white. Also preferably not damaged. Luckily I was able to get a refund on part of the chairs. read more

If I could leave 0 I would I called to ensure my rental would be taken up to the location it's supposed to be and they get here with all these chairs and tables and say all I can do is leave them in the garage BULLSHIT!!!! Especially when I triple checked that fact. Educate your staff! read more

Stay away from this company. If there was some thing less than one star to give to them that's what I would do. They run a very shady business, and bring you faulty equipment and then blame you for it so that you have to pay for a replacement. Not only that, but their equipment is all unprotected and poorly maintained so you will suffer damage to parts of your house like your floor. We have rented tables and chairs with Dallas Event Rentals over the past couple of years for our Office Thanksgiving Potluck. This year, they did not provide proof of insurance and would not get it to us as requested. This resulted in our building not allowing them to deliver. Dallas Event Rentals claims that they did not cancel and therefore will not refund our money. They only offered credit. We only need this service once a year. This was on them and not us. Our Office Manager came in at 6:30am this morning to wait for the tables and chairs to be delivered which was a waste of her time. Our company will NOT use them again in the future nor recommend Dallas Event Rentals. read more

This place is the worst. They ruined our event. We were throwing a party to celebrate a promotion at my office. I submitted a request for a quote and received one from a really nice guy named Ricky. He and I then worked out pickup and drop off times and everything was set! Two days before our event, I get an incredibly poorly punctuated email telling me that they would not honor the quote because there a minimum that was not reached (that a minimum exists is news to me). The email also said that we would not be able to pick up our order and would instead be charged a delivery fee even though Ricky specifically told me that we could pick up the items because the order was so small. This was all terrible news so close to the event especially considering everything was already squared away. So, I called and tried to clear things up. An incredibly rude girl named Sandra answered the phone and refused to let me speak with Ricky. Despite having already worked with Ricky I tried to address my problem with her. I explained that Ricky and I had worked together and had a plan in place. She made it very clear there would be no sorting of the issue. Her tone was that of an irritated 15 year old. Ridiculous. I explained to her that I was very upset to have my order cancelled so close to the event and she snapped back "YYeeahh, that's why I said sorry in the email". She ended the call with "so do you want the stanchions or not?" I can only hope this Sandra doesn't single handedly ruin the livelihood of whoever owns this place. read more

This place is a disgrace of a business. They have no idea what it means to be honest and forthcoming. If you're going to be in the wedding industry, have some humanity. My poor niece got totally screwed by you guys because you secretly hide agreements and waivers that no one would know about when agreeing to do business with you. I wish that I could give Dallas Event Rentals a zero, because after renting from them today, that is what they deserve. The equipment they dropped off did not work and after they sent us a text with how to fix the problem, their response was," we can send someone out to fix it, but that will be an additional charge". The Dallas Party Rental staff also are rude and when discussing our issue with them did not seem to care, because they have "other satisfied customers and have been doing this for 16 years". I will never rent from Dallas Party Rentals again and also not refer them to anyone who wants a good experience renting equipment. read more

I have just returned from a very weird meeting with Ricky at Dallas events. FYI the Bowser address is no longer good... I made an appointment for 9AM this morning because he told me in his email that they were not always at the office. I went to visit them at their Sterling ave. address in order to make sure that they were actually in business,also to see the equipment and to pay for chair ,table and linen rental for a party. I had to ask his name He did not want me in his warehouse. I had to press for what time delivery would be made on party day. do you ever get the impression from someone that they think you are a pain? I made payment and gave him address email and my cell #. I asked for his cell number and he refused. I explained that I would like to be able to reach him if there was a problem on the Saturday of the party. He refused again and told me that I did not have to rent from him and he could cancel the transaction if I wanted. I agreed that that would be best. If I could give negative stars, I would. The husband and wife team that run it clearly have communication issues. One tells you one thing and the other tells you another. We picked up items from them and the husband told us to return them on Monday between 9a-noon. On Monday, when I showed up at 9:15am to return the items, no one was at the business. When I called the husband's cell, he picked up and said no one had told us to return the items at 9am. When I reminded him that he told us between 9a-noon, he said we should have called before we came. I told him that I did try to call but no one picked up...probably because they don't open until 9am. He got very rude and defensive because he realized that he did not make any sense. Since I was running late now to get to work because of him, I asked the business next door if they would take the items and hold them so I could get to work and they said "No way, that guy is super rude and we would not do anything to help him." Do not rent anything from Dallas Event Rentals. They are AWFUL. I mean just look at the other reviews. Very rude -- not sure how he gets legitimate business. Its run by Ricky and his wife - she answers the phone and takes care of the invoices. They are not to be trusted. read more

Horrible customer service, owner was extremely rude and unprofessional, poor communication within their staff. I rented some equipment and concerned because the return date was on a holiday. I was assured that there would staffing that day from 9am to 12pm so not to worry and bring the equipment. I arrived at 10am, Of course as the trend continued of unprofessional behavior with Dallas party rentals, the business was closed when I arrived and there were also other customers there that were told the same thing as I was. For several years, my organization has used this organization for a basic rental for a once--a-year event. As usual, I placed my order several months in advance and pre-paid. On the day of the event, I contacted the company to find out why our order was not delivered. The owner, Ricky said he would look into it and call back in "two minutes." I didn't hear back and I called back, and he fussed at me saying I needed to give him "two minutes" and asked for the invoice number a fourth time. It was "2230," by the way. He finally decided to bring the order out himself, proceeded to go to the wrong side of town, arrived 30 minutes later than his revised delivery time, and when I accepted delivery he opened up with "I'm not saying this is YOUR fault, but..." - he stopped himself and then blamed it on his employee, Sandra. I told him I couldn't believe his nerve. The owner then yelled at me saying I "didn't know how to talk to people," and he never apologized. He was, in fact, accusatory and rude. The whole purpose of this company is to deliver rentals on time. Had I not prepaid, I would have given his rentals back to him and wished him luck, but I knew he would never refund our money. The rentals are fine, though not a particularly good value - average at best. The owner is a very arrogant, hostile, probably misogynistic person who shifts blame for his lack of performance. read more
