Unlike other companies that tried to give me "satellite guesstimates" or asked for my own measurements, Dennis came out in person and provided a precise estimate. His expertise was obvious, which made choosing them an easy decision. We booked the job for May, and communication leading up to it was excellent--Dennis kept me updated via text and answered all my questions. On the day of the install, the crew realized they needed different equipment and promptly returned the next day to get started. During the excavation, they discovered my irrigation system hadn't been installed deeply enough by the original contractor, resulting in a couple of broken pipes. This forced the crew to hand-dig the old grass out around the lines. Fortunately, Epic Horizons also handles irrigation, so they had everything needed to fix the lines on the spot. While they charged me for the pipe repairs, they didn't charge for the extensive extra labor required for the hand-digging, which I felt was very fair given it wasn't their fault the original lines were too shallow. Once the new sod was laid, they did an immaculate job cleaning up both my property and the street where their equipment had tracked mud. I typically wait to post reviews to see how a company handles post-job follow-up, and Epic Horizons didn't disappoint. When I reached out with questions about a few patches and a separate leak later on, Dennis was quick to respond and offer help. They handle unexpected issues incredibly well, and I highly recommend them. Oh: and our new lawn looks great!!!

Our house on Palm Island off of Placida, was constructed with red stone pavers from the main road…read moreto our garage. These paving stones also encircled the entire property walkway around the premise. These were installed 10 years ago and several issues were arising, mostly driven by settlement of the ground. My biggest issue was flooding the was occurring inside my parking garage. Because of flash flooding during hard rains, water would rise on lower settled paver stones near the entrance of the garage and the water would then proceed to enter the garage itself. This caused lots of water and debris to enter the garage. Also, several spots on the driveway and pathway around the premises had stones that were either uneven or creating large low spots for more flood areas when large rains occurred. The last issue we had was the need for a retaining wall around a plant bed that had gravel and mulch that bleed onto the pavers constantly. We sent out several requests for quotes in the area with other companies to assess. Patrick was by far the most reasonable in his assessment and pricing to fix all of the above issues noted earlier. His execution was excellent. He brought in one other associate with him over a two-day period to assist him in cutting and laying the stones (and drain system around the garage). The men worked very hard and addressed all issues that were agreed upon in our quote. Since his installation, we recently had one large storm and downpour earlier last week. There were no issues involving any water spots on the paver stones, and more importantly, no water was coming into the garage. The drain system worked flawlessly. I would strongly recommend Patrick to assess any hardscape or paving issue anyone has in terms of fixing existing construction or new construction.
