Built in 1994 and in despite of it's appearance, this community centre is at the heart of Carfin…read more It plays host to a number of extra curricular activities and clubs such as TaeKwon-Do Classes and the Little Tiger Cubs classes for younger children. My niece attends the classes and she has progressed really well, with the help of the dedicated teachers who are all highly skilled. It also runs the Ozanam Club, founded by the Society of St Vincent De Paul, who meet on Monday nights and provide assistance for young people and children with special needs or disabilities. The main hall can seat around 100-140, and can be hired out for functions, as well as being close to a kitchen for catering purposes. There are also two smaller committee rooms, which are usually used for meetings and community council sessions. A good sized centre, with a huge play park behind it. It could do with a refurbishment and a clear up, but other than that, perfect for the communities activities.
