Having lived in Forest Lawn before, I have been to this location many times. Forest Lawn, as anywhere, has it's quirks and it can be easy enough to over look them. But at some point, things have just gotten worse with this location. And I wish I could say I have been the only one in my family and friends list that has noticed. The last few times I have gone there to pick up food for my family after work has been disappointing to say the least. I will just stick to the last time a couple of days ago for this review. When I pulled into the driveway, the grassy area to the right of the parking lot was filled with homeless addicts. I understand homelessness and addiction and do not fault them for their troubles. Their stuff however was spilling out well into the parking lot. Needles and broke pipes included. Please be careful of your car tires. When I entered the store, it was decently clean minus a pop spill in front of the soda machine that had ample time to dry and become sticky. The staff that took my order was very friendly. When I ordered the sandwich for my husband with a slice of cheese added, I was informed they don't sell cheese anymore. At all. Apparently this is a relatively new decision for KFC as just last week I got myself a chicken sandwich while working and added cheese. I pointed out that they are still advertising sliced cheese for sandwiches at an added price. He said he doesn't know why they haven't changed the signs yet. After placing the rest of my order and paying for it, I moved off to the side to allow others to order. While waiting I noticed that the mens bathroom had a table infront of it prohibiting people to use it. I also made a mental note that it has been like that every time I have been there prior for a while now. While waiting I also noticed one of the homeless peoples from outside entered the store and went into the bathroom. About 5 minutes later, another homeless person entered the store, knocked on the bathroom door and when opened, entered it with the other person. This happened a third time - the first person now having been in there for 10 minutes. At this point I have been waiting 20 minutes for my food now but no one mentioned when I ordered that it was going to be a little wait. Another homeless person in the parking lot, I watched wander the parking lot, pick up an empty bottle of water and proceeded to come inside to the pop machine and place this bottle under the water spout with the opening where people put their mouths touching all over the place. The staff also watched this happen and when she left didn't bother to go and sanitize. I made mention about the people in the washroom who have been in there quite some time now and I know this location has had a history with over doses in their bathrooms. None of the staff seemed to care and no one went to go check on them. I finally got my food and headed home. Everything was accounted for when I pulled it all out. The bun of my husbands sandwich was burnt and the sandwich itself was poorly put together with everything falling out of it from the get go. The chicken in his sandwich was also hard, not only on the outside but the inside as well. Not so hard you couldn't eat it but hard enough to know it was either over cooked or has sat for a lengthy amount of time. When I opened my chicken tender meal, I also noticed the same with my chicken tenders. At the end of the day, the food made all of us feel nauseous. And when I called to make a complaint before feeling sick to my stomach, the staff I spoke to said it was probably just hard after sitting during the 10 minute distance from the store to my home. I didn't even want a refund or a different meal. I just wanted to inform them of what was experienced so they could maybe try to keep a better eye on the food and the times.

My favourite salad is the eggplant and pepper salad - it is the most delicious way I've ever eaten eggplant. The portions are ample and the food is top notch.
