Our AC conked out on us in 95 degree weather yesterday (Friday 7.17.15). I called the normal place I use every year and they scheduled to come out that day. I told them I'd be away from home at a certain time and asked them to come out before or after that time. Well they call me DURING that time and tell me they are on their way. I am an hour away from home and can't get back. They ask can they reschedule for MONDAY and I tell them NO! We endured the heat for the night, sweating like pigs in a slaughter house. We've got ceiling fans and big desk fans blowing all over the house, but it does absolutely NO GOOD, it's just too humid. I didn't even cook dinner, it was too damn hot! This morning (Saturday) I wake up and my husband is dragging around like a wet sloth, so I decide to call someone else to see who had the best prices and could get out NOW! Called 3 places and one wanted $98 just to come to my house, plus $120 per hour (which they'd probably been dragging their @$$ for at least 3) plus the cost of parts/labor/freon. I get a call back from Dana Wright's and the guy quotes me a reasonable price. Problem was he was booked for the day. He took my address and discovers he's gonna be out this way ANYWAY so he came by, fixed my AC and I paid less than the cost of the other guy showing up! My old AC guy is TOAST! YOU'RE FIRED! Stay away from this guy... I had him come take a look at my AC unit because It wasn't working. So I called him and he quoted me $50/pound for R407c which was cheaper that the quote I received from another company ($100.00) When he arrived he hooked up the gauges and observed my system was 50psi low. so he grabbed a tank of R407c and "said" he put three pounds of R407c in the system, but he didn't use a scale and only eyeballed it. he didn't even check to see if the system took R407c or check anything but the pressure of the system. He did no troubleshooting or checking, didn't turn one screw to check panels or anything. What he put in the system only lasted one day and the house was back to hot. So I called him and he wouldn't answer the phone or return any of my messages. Now I'm out $210.00 for a shoddy job and the system is still not repaired. This guy ripped me off and I really don't understand why, he was supposed to be a professional AC repair guy, but his actions show he is just a shade tree ac repair guy that didnt do anything he promised and was paid to do. I have also filed a complaint with the State of Alabama Board of Heating/Air conditioning contractors for stiffing me out my money. Like I said in the beginning... Stay away from this guy and hire a more reputable company to do your AC repairs. read more

I met Dana through another technician. I was sold a Goodman AC unit by Ferrells and it kept breaking. This AC unit was bleeding me dry money wise. He tried to fix it but the unit was a piece of junk. Every time the Goodman unit broke down he would come out to my home and try to get it going. Finally he sold be a unit and installed it and I am well pleased. My AC unit stopped working on Tuesday (7-29-19) the temperature was well into the upper nineties. I called Dana and he said don't worry I'll send a technician to get you going. He worked with my neighbor as I had a Doctors appointment and would not be here. As promised he sent the tech and when we got home the A/C was fixed and is still fixed. He is always busy but takes care of me every time. I highly recommend this service for your A/C needs. Oh by waye way it was not the A/C it was a part associated with the Goodman unit which was junk.
