CAN NOT BE TRUSTED TO PICK YOU UP - DO NOT USE DANA'S!!! I wish I would have read the other reviews before scheduling a pickup with this company, but I trusted the fact that the front desk at my hotel referred me. I called the night before I needed a ride to the airport and spoke with a man who quoted me $32 and confirmed pickup for 5:15am (I had a very early flight). The same ride with Uber is $12 but I was willing to pay more for the peace of mind knowing I had a confirmed ride scheduled. One thing I found odd about the initial conversation was that the man asked me to give him a "friendly reminder call" at 4:30am. I should have known that was a red flag. So the next morning I make the requested "friendly reminder call" and get no answer. I called and texted for the next 45 minutes with no response and of course at 5:15 no one shows up to take me to the airport. I had to frantically call EVERY OTHER taxi service but of course had no luck at that early hour. I was simultaneously trying to order Uber and Lyft but there were no drivers on the road. I sent Dana's a text explaining what a bad situation they had put me in and that I was potentially going to miss my flight because of their no-show. While panicking about all this in the lobby of my hotel, a different clerk than the one who originally referred me explained that Dana's is terrible and unsafe and they only use them as a last resort. Hotel guests have told them that the drivers go way over the speed limit, are very rude, and some even speculated that drugs may be involved. ALL THINGS I WISH I HAD KNOWN EARLIER! Eventually a driver came online with Uber and I was able to get a ride that way. While I was waiting for that pickup Dana's replied to my text about missing my flight with "ok". He also tried calling AN HOUR after I started trying to reach him but I was so mad I didn't answer. He sent another text saying his phone "messed up" and was on silent. To me that's no excuse since a grown man should be able to set an alarm to wake up without relying on a phone call. Once I came here and saw Dana's has done the EXACT SAME THING to other pre-scheduled early pickups I believe his excuse is B.S. and he likely had no intention of picking me up at the agreed upon time (but would maybe show up when he felt like it and take the extremely inflated rate then if I were still around). I also went back to my texts and see now he was reading all of them as I sent them and chose to ignore me and leave me stranded. DO NOT TRUST DANA'S!!! read more

My friends used this service once this past Saturday to get to my wedding reception. The driver apparently did not listen to them when they told her the address several times and told her which of the two buildings the reception was being held in. This caused them to be way later than they should have been, and they ended up having to walk in the dark from one building to the other. They attempted to use this service to get to their hotel after the reception was over. My parents, my husband, and I waited with them to close to an hour for their taxi. They were quoted about 30 minutes or so. When one friend called to cancel the ride, he was told by the person on the phone that the driver was almost there and it would be just a few more minutes. My friend said, "Okay," after the driver said, again, "They'll be there in just a minute or two." We waited another 10 minutes at least before I got fed up and took his phone and called myself. I told them to cancel the ride and was told by the same person as before that he had canceled the ride when my friend called him the first time. That was NOT what my friend was told. Very annoyed, I simply said it would have been nice to know this the first time and hung up. This caused a huge inconvenience to my friends, my parents, my husband, and I. It's no wonder people rely on Uber and Lyft over taxis when services like this treat their customers this way. Totally unreliable and very rude!! Would NOT recommend! read more

I have used this company multiple times. After several trips I remain disappointed with several things including the safety, or lack of it, with this company. Each time I was quoted a price for the trip based upon my start address and the drop off address. I am not certain how trip fares are calculated by the dispatchers, however, whatever means is being used is far far from accurate. Of the seven rides I took with this company I had the same driver Six times. The driver disregarded the use of turn signals, totally threw driving rules and regulations to the wind. I strongly believe that this driver was padding his picked by adding a buck or two to the fare. I asked him very clearly why there was such a discrepancy between what I was quoted and what he was charging. His reply was "I just drive dude." One trip he actually attempted to drop me at an incorrect address. When I was finally taken to the correct address, he attempted to charge me for the three extra miles he had gone due to his error. I called the dispatcher and did resolve this issue. The interior of each vehicle I was in was dirty (smeared stuff on seats, dirty windows). All vehicles smelled foul. One smelled of vomit. I strongly discourage using this taxi service. read more

Wow - worst taxi service ever! Pick my daughter and myself up at the airport to take us 7.7 miles to Bettendorf. First the van did not have air conditioning and it was super hot and humid. I had to help him load our luggage and lay one of the seats down to fit a larger bag. His phone was not working so had to use my for gps because he couldn't hear me with the windows down and hard of hearing. The engine light was flashing the whole time and the van was chugging the whole way and finally died in our driveway. He finally got it started after he unloaded our bags. Then i was charged $35... I will NOT be using this taxi service again. read more

I'm posting this review on my friend's account because I do not have one. Do not waste your time booking a ride with Dana's Cabs. They took my information yesterday and booked my ride, they texted me with the name of my hotel and I responded to them and confirmed the exact address. I was supposed to be picked up this morning at 5:30 am and no one showed up, i kept calling and no one answered. I almost missed my flight, thankfully i found another cab company to grab me. Driver was rude while asking for address to my destination, not wearing a mask. Using his phone while driving and speeding through traffic. Very unsafe cab service. Was going 60 I'm 35 zones. Terrible and will never use again. read more

Worst can experience of my life. My destination was E. Moline and 6.7 miles away, after taking me to Moline, he took me to E. Moline, got lost. He then tried to charge me $65 for our "16 mile" car ride. He contacted his boss and gave me 3 miles off as a discount. Don't use this service. read more

Was in a jam and needed a ride to a work event relatively far away. Called around and this place had the best pricing by far, and a flat rate so I didn't have to worry about it changing. Driver arrived on time and was very friendly -- even gave me a restaurant recommendation. I got to and from my destination unscathed, both physically and financially. read more

Called for a cab at 6:15. The lady on the phone said 7 was fine. Waited until 7:08; called-- was told 20-25 minutes. Called again after twenty minutes, about 7:30. Was told soon. Called again 10 minutes later, was told he was in the area. I was standing on my porch, inside the door-- no way I could miss him. But around 7:45, I went outside and called again, just to see the idiot driver pulling out of the parking lot next door. The guy on the phone apologized initially, but got super-defensive when I accused the company of lying to me about the pickup time-- which they had. No offer of a free ride or any attempt to make up for the fact that by this point I had totally missed my event. DO NOT USE THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY. read more

We called and set up a pick up time 2 days in advance. At the appointed time, no cab, so I called. A grouchy woman said he was almost at our pick up spot. 15 minutes later, I called again and was told by a man "I am a minute away". We allowed 15 minutes for a 5 minute ride, literally, but we were 20 minutes late for our appointment. We did not even receive an apogy. read more

Terrible and inaccurate wait times, rude cab drivers and outrageous cab fares. We were told the wait would be 20 minutes and then weren't picked up until 45 minutes later with no explanation given. During the ride the driver was rude and refused to roll up the windows even when asked. read more

We did not feel safe because the driver also served as the dispatcher so was texting and talking on his phone the entire ride. The price was too high and there was a $2.50 fee for credit card transactions. read more

In Burlington for one night. Wanted to hit the casino for couple hours. Called Dana's Cab, cabbie suggested Jumpers, stated was better then one we originaly thought of going to. Asked how far, he stated about 12 miles. We get to the casino and his coment is "huh, your not going to like this bill". My buddy and I just looked at each other when he told us total. $59.60!!!! For 12-15 miles!!!! are you kidding me. We took lucky cab back to hotel and it was HALF the cost $30 bucks. I found Dana's cab to be VERY helpful and compassionate. I stranded in Davenport and they went out of their way to help me. Their service was above and beyond. They picked me up at the bus station and helped me throughout my stay in Davenport. They also had enough room for all my luggage! I would recommend their cab service to anyone in Davenport. read more

Today I encountered a silver van with Dana's Cabs plastered on the sides. I was heading south on 16th St at a green light across John Deere Rd. Very busy area with steady traffic all around. This cab turned right on red without any hesitation heading south onto 16th St right as I came through on the intersection forcing me onto the raised shoulder to avoid them completely side swiping me. I quickly sped past them and looked in my rearview mirror to see them forcing other cars off the road in the same fashion. Absolutely wreckless behavior any time of the day, but in full traffic its completely unacceptable. It's not normal to turn right on red with a steady line of traffic moving through the intersection on a green light. Its an endangerment to everyone on the road, I would've called the police if my safety wasn't at immediate risk and I could've done so safely. Terrible! Charges $6 every extra person in the cab. Takes the longest route. Smells like smoke in the personal car that should not drive across to Illinois because they aren't licensed in both states... Which makes no sense if you're in the quad cities... Seriously! Not to mention the random person in the back of the vehicle just sitting there without a seat belt... Awkward! More expensive then my cab across Manhattan, and she drive 4 miles! read more

I gave this company a 1 because a negative 10 wasn't available. The bad experience began with the initial call to the company. The dispatcher agreed to pick me up but never asked for my name or confirmed my telephone number (I was calling from my work phone). Two days later I called to confirm the pick up time and the same dispatcher was clueless about the appointment. The day of pick up, the driver was over an hour late and only came after I called about his 10 minute tardiness. Again the dispatcher was clueless about the appointment even though we spoke the day prior. The driver appeared in a filthy vehicle with no meter and his mother in the front passenger seat. The ride to the airport was less than 10 minutes but we were charged $40. I spoke with the company about the poor service and was essentially told that nothing would be done. I highly recommend that anyone seeking timely service consider any other mode of transportation. read more
