I've been coming here for years and really loved this salon and has been my go to for my kids hair needs. Dana has been very helpful and kind. I would call and be seen the same day however recently I called and had an appointment I came in and was asked to wait which is understandable for 15-20 minutes but this time she decided to work on a customer that walked in after us because his hair cut will be faster than mine. The man kept insisting it's ok he is not in a rush and can wait after as he does not have an appointment she kept insisting to see him first. She later explained to me that my daughters haircut was longer in duration and didn't want the other customer to wait. I guess she doesn't understand people make an appointment for a reason and to have more respect for people's time. Especially with kids on a school night trying to avoid long wait and crowds by making an appointment. Needless to say I found a different place for my service. read more

First of all, just to let you know, I am a very picky girl. Everything I do or buy, it takes me days to think and research lol. I want the best! And for my hair, it is the same. I had a very hard time to look for a good hair stylist. I tried a few and didn't have good experiences. I wasn't happy with the result at all, due to the wrong color expectation. I wanted my hair to be silver/ash/gray, but I could never got the correct color as I wanted. Plus, it caused my hair super damaged from the bleach :(. I almost lost faith in it; for almost 2 years, I did not go to any salon to touch up or dye my hair. I just wanted to grow it long, keep it natural color and nourish it healthier until next time. BUT, I found COCO. I saw her picture on Facebook, it looked so appealing - the hair color she's done with looked so pretty and smooth, that I decided to give it a try with her. I am glad that I did. So now I can say, "Finally, I found the one (haha) who is good at this." She transformed my hair from a brassy damaged ugly hair into a beautiful silver blonde healthy look hair; just exactly as what I wanted. After the section, I was like, "Oh wow, I finally got a silver blonde hair that I have been wanting; and my hair feels so soft now. What has she done to my hair :D" I was impressed! Well.. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!..I called in to make an appointment and Dana asked me to come in 30 min later. Then I got in 10 min late then I saw her already with another customer. However because of my tardiness, I patiently waited for another 15-20 min. I even told her to take her time since I knew that I was late. While waiting, she came in and asked me if I only wanted to do a haircut and no color or wash. I said yes because I already washed my hair. While cutting my hair, I agreed that my hair was an oily type, but she did not have to keep commenting on it. Especially, one thing that upset me was that when I asked how to prevent my hair from getting too oily, she immediately showed me her fingers and pushed them closer to my noses and asked me to smell her fingers. Then she saw I was wearing my mask and she started lowering my mask and kept pushing her fingers closer to my noses and asked me to smell it again. She told me that she will have to go wash her hands thoroughly after cutting my hair because of the oil she got from my hair. That was unprofessional and was rude of her. I have been to other salons. They also commented on my oily scalp but they have never acted that way. Then she wanted to push me into buying the shampoo product that she had by saying that this would work very well in reducing my oil on my scalp. She then moved on and told me that the end of my hair was too dry. She told me to come back next time so she could apply " Keratin" to help smoothen it out. In the end, when I asked how much was the shampoo, she told me $30 which I wanted to try it out so I bought it, and the told price was $65 dollars including the tip. I was okay with that because I wanted to help her out since it has been rough for everyone last year. But the one thing that made me decide to write a review was because of her attitude toward me. I felt very offensive and I thought she did that to me because I did not want to do any other services she offered like coloring or hair washing. I gave two stars because she actually did spend time cutting my hair, but only two stars because her professionalism could have been better and she should not have treated me that way. I think I will go to other nicer salon where people would treat me professionally and respectfully. read more

This review is late... I'm not good at writing them but I'll try my best because Dana is a fantastic hairstylist. She really cares for her customers and wants to help them achieve their dream look. Dana and her sister Coco always take care of my mom and I when we come in. I've never once been disappointed by her ability to transform a person. First things first, she is taking strict COVID precautions when it comes to appointments. Yes, appointments. Please call ahead and make sure she can accommodate for what you want to do at her salon. She is very sanitary in her work place and makes sure all measures are taken. Lastly, my hair. I loved it! Dana really listens to you and advises what would be the best way to treat your hair. She is honest so don't take any offense if she tells you she can't do something. I have really thick hair, and she always wants to make sure whatever I want is what she'll be able to create. My most recent appointment was the standard cut and color. I got a few inches trimmed off and dyed my quarantine faded hair. Dana and Coco honestly helped me achieve the hairstyle of my dreams. I love Dana and her sister, they're so nice I always get my hair cut here, although I only come every other 3 months cause my hair grows so slow, it's always a pleasant visit every time. Today I'm here for a manicure and a pedicure The manicure is for the acrylic powder to be removed to nurse my nails back to normalcy from all the acrylics powder I've put my nails through over the years. BE CAREFUL WITH SCAM IN BILLING! I've been here twice and the three-star rating is for my hair and nails done. However, I'd give one star for the owner's attitude as she always ends up with the higher (shady) calculation of her jobs. Since the customers already have their hair/nails done, they can't do anything but paying the bill. For example: I did ask her beforehand how much for the hair perm (short hair), including trimming afterwards; she said $65. Gel toenails was $35. But at the end she charged: $65 for hair perm plus $30 for hair trimming (the time she spent on trimming was very quicky), and extra $30 for the rolls curling - this is ridiculous as rolling is one required step during the perming process. She also elevated the toenails gel coloring from $35 to $40! The overcharged amount could be anywhere from $15 to $45, $45 (depending on how your dressing level-casual or elegant- and personality (humble, aggressive..). I was about to report this scam to the Customer Protection Unit, District Attorney of Santa Clara County. However, I gave the owner a chance to improve her honesty by warning her. read more

Waited a couple of weeks because I wanted to be completely sure I was happy... and I am! First went in about a month ago for a consultation. A lot of places just do a cursory examination and either give a flat response or very vague answers, but not Dana. She really took the time to look at my hair, talk about what I wanted, and even took a lock to test it out. Coco did the majority of the actual work on my hair. She was also very careful and didn't rush, even though the process was long and tedious. The day of my appointment, I get off work call her and let her know i'm on the way for my appointment, she says Okay...Then a few minutes later she texts me stating to come in at 6:30pm!?
