She also met some great friends that she had enjoyed dancing with. MDC is an excellent studio that focuses on the quality of their dances and not the quantity of each class. This isn't another overrated but turned out a basic studio. MDC has a unique vibe that is filled with different personalities yet a happy and very healthy dance family. I'm grateful that we found MDC because this has been my daughter's local Disneyland spot, it's her happy place! This is the place to take your child if they love to dance and has a passion for dancing. I also want to mention how heartwarming and friendly all the parents are. The same with each MDC dancer. They're humble and not just great dancers, I mean they can dance (no joke) but they're also very beautiful inside and out as well. Thank you, Betsy, for creating such a wonderful place for our kids. What originally brought me to the studio was the undeniable sense of community that exudes from the space. Here, yoga is more than a physical practice on the matt. And honestly for me, it's been a place to explore what it means to be human and how I want to show up for myself, those around me, and more generally, the world. But maybe more importantly, there's truly a class for everyone. Yoga Soup can be your place to find a woman's circle or to get in a sweaty vinyasa flow or shake it out dancing. Whatever it is, what I love is that each class feels like it's part of larger mosaic that reflects a wide diversity of offerings, modalities, perspectives, and styles, all intended to help you find what you need, when you need it. Last year, I completed Yoga Soup's 300 hour advanced yoga teacher training taught by Dora Chan, Jazmin Ment, Cynthia Abulafia, and Luca Cupery. This training went beyond my wildest expectations. The depth of knowledge from the teachers, the support from the studio, and the inclusive, welcoming culture set by the whole community is second to none. If you're interested in deepening your yoga practice (regardless of whether or not you want to teach), I highly highly recommend this program. Or if you're just getting started on your studies, they also offer a 200 hour yoga teacher training - which I am honored to be supporting this year! The training is cozy and intimate, you get a lot of personalized attention, and there is a super supportive vibe. They serve really yummy, healthy snacks & tea too which I loved- I am a total foodie- I even learned how to make some of these recipes from the owner Sue Anne. Both Sue Anne and her husband Jim have mentored and guided me ever since. They helped me get teaching positions literally as soon as I graduated the training. I question if some of the instructors are prior gymnasts based on their poor instruction. One-on-one lessons are none existent even though they verbally say, private lessons could possibly be offered. The employee turnover is high and employees do NOT greet clients with a smile. It's a conveyor belt customer business. Girls Inc represent's the shallow society we now live in. Ice in Paradise which is a local NHL ice rink has much more talented teachers, more hours to practice the sport and overall a more professional operation. That's why I'm willing to spend $3000 a month at Ice In Paradise and only $30-$60 a month at Girls Inc. Girls Inc seems to be in decline as their downtown facility closed due to lack of funds to remodel and leadership did not lead correctly in various negotiations. Sad to witness Girls Inc slowly sinking. Their website has many flaws, not user friendly and when brought to staff attention. The staff could care less and response is a smart a$$ rebuttal! I witnessed why staff are paid poorly. Their staff have written reviews as employees with negative reviews of Girls Inc on Indeed. The staff have a bad attitude towards the customers who pay their wages. I find it interesting people are able to login prematurely before registration opens and signup for classes prior to registration time. This operation is unprofessional on many levels. I will NOT be surprised this location closes in the future as the downtown location did.

Huge shoutout to Valeria who goes above and beyond for every kid there and has a smile on her face all the time( I love my daughter but even I can't smile that much) and the remainder of the staff is amazing as well. Great place, teaching the next generation life lessons while helping them have fun and make friendships
