Of course there are always minor hiccups when traveling in large groups. Charter bus broke down in Maryland. I don't fault GL. Things happen. We were back on the road and checked into the hotel without any headaches. Everything was organized with keys ready to go. That was wonderful especially after a long day of travel and a large group. Our tour guid Chad, was truly amazing, he was Knowledgeable, entertaining, and enthusiastic. Chad was just an all around great guy that you can tell loves his job and takes pride in customer service. Lexi, who guided the other bus was great too. We kept a tight schedule, and we were advised on what to expect and best things to look out for during each location visit. He has bundles of energy and was incredibly patient lugging 100 high school kids and their parents around the city. He coordinated buses, MetroCards, meals, and so much more. Green Light Group Tours is definitely the way to go. He's very knowledgeable about the city and knows both what tourists want to and what locals enjoy. For a quick example of how great this guy is: One of the kids with us dropped her iPhone on the subway tracks. Now, if I was him, I would've told her that thing was gone forever. He got on the phone the MTA and got someone to go down there and get it. I have no idea how he did that now that I'm more familiar with the city. They also have an awesome Gift Shop so be sure to pick up something on the way out. We were getting information; but, we also were taking refuge from the heat, humidity, and the badly needed rains. The visitor's information center also was very conveniently located near our hotel. An A+ plus experience.

After finding parking nearby we walked a few blocks and arrived briefly. The information center is situated in a well preserved historic building with beautiful hardwood floors and fine wooden benches. The information center agent was thorough and knowledgeable as she guided us through the area map and referred us to other available resources online. There is also a small museum situated directly behind the main front desk. The open exhibition is available to the public that displays historic artifacts, background of the founders of at Augustine as well as a model display of the "San Pelayo". We ended up using the knowledge gained here to plan a walking route tho out the historic city which our family enjoyed. We had a great time stopping here and would highly recommend to anyone checking out the area.

There was so much space for us all, and the back yard was so much fun. We got some fire wood and sat by the fire pit on the nice chilly Florida night! The amenities were great, except because we were a lot of people we ran out of some things, which they said may happen. So be prepared to bring extra garbage bags, toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, and such. Any issue we had, very minor things, I texted and it was resolved immediately. The view of the sunrise in the morning was so pretty. It was cold but the kids walked to the beach anyway, which was very close. My grand daughters were there and they had a baby gate and portable crib which was very useful. It was very clean and the couch was crazy comfortable!

I had forgotten my cell phone so a nice lady in the store called AAA for me. Unfortnatelyi the driver could not find me and did not show up. St Augustine AAA was close by so I walked down here and talked to the nicest lady named Robin. She recalled car service and used her cell phone for contact. After office hours she came and stayed with me until service arrived. I have never met such a kind and thoughtful person. Not only is she a great employee, she is a wonderful person.
