Dangerfield has been one of my go-to places for casual fashion since it opened. They have a great line of stuff for both men and women, and their range varies between cheaper, casual looks and more dressy outfits that come at a higher price. Though it was evidently directed towards alternative fashion when it first opened up shop in Adelaide, it has now adopted a more mainstream approach, and their items will cater to almost anybody. The great thing about Dangerfield is you don't have to worry about shelling out a fortune. I've come in on a whim with nothing more than a twenty dollar note, and left with some pretty cool gear such as T-shirts, belts, jewellery and the like. Aside from their T-shirts being either very quirky or visually appealing, they have a great selection of button-down shirts, vests, ties, and overcoats. I've still got a winter coat I bought from them about five years ago, and it hasn't deteriorated a single bit. They also have a great accessories range, and if you're looking for bags, hats, belts or jewellery with a bit of edge, then you should have no problem finding it here. Also found in the Myer stores in Rundle Mall and Westfield Marion, Dangerfield is the perfect store for those with a little edge to their fashion sense. Storing both women and men's fashion and accessories, with some funky bits and pieces here and there, you would probably describe most of the styling of clothes as being old school punk, and maybe a little on the gothic side. On the not overly expensive side, most of the items of clothing are around the $50-$150 mark. But with the unique style that Dangerfield offers, I believe it to be very worth it. read more

Don't be fooled, this place isn't the punk rocker hang out you might think from peeking through the door. Initially I didn't think I was "cool enough" to shop for clothes at Dangerfield but after mustering up the courage to go in and start browsing through the colour coded, itemised clothing racks I realised I might be able to pull off some of the clothes in here. Cue - summer & winter clothes proudly purchased from Dangerfield. Cue - boyfriends summer & winter clothes proudly purchased from Dangerfield. Just want a dress? Head to their neatly displayed dress rack, ordered by colour and pick one for size. This place does quirky well, in a "I'm not as much of a hipster as that other guy," kind of way. The clothing come in unique designs, materials and colours that means you won't look like every other person walking down the street but at the same time won't be "too unique" if you know what I mean. The accessories here are a bit more punk but could also be pulled off without a goth haircut and black nail polish. Meanwhile this place breaks my bank account every pay period because it always has a sale on - even when you walk in not expecting one! Last time I went in and when I got to the counter was told they had a 20% off sale - what a pleasant surprise! Clothes winning! read more

I love shopping in town, particularly down Rundle Street and Dangerfield is a key reason for this! The brands that this store stocks are fabulous when you buy clothes for your shape and your own style rather than the current trend. The brands in store have a wide variety of cuts, lengths, prints and styles to suit everyone. Although the store gives off a grunge-y vibe, all of my preppy skirts, dresses and cardigans have come from here (or the boutique in Myer Marion), so don't be afraid to wander in! Prices vary in-store depending on the clothing and the brand, but I've always found it very reasonable and there are always some super sweet bargains in the clearance section (right at the back of the store). Customer service varies on who is on, sometimes I'm swamped by offers to find sizes or styles but more often than not I'm left hanging dry in the change rooms trying to flag the staffers to get another size for me. I paid postage to receive clothes online, they sent the wrong thing, took them back to a store to be told I have to pay to return online. Sent the clothes back issued an online only credit, asked for my money back, got told I should take them back to the store. FFS!!!! How can I do that nimwits? Worst customer service ever. Have tried endlessly to get assistance to reprint a receipt, I have the date of purchase, the time, store, payment method and box which has markings on it unique to the store. Was told I would get a call back, no call back. When I called again I was told that they didn't legally need to help me and tough. Their head office doesn't answer the phone or their emails, they don't respond to DMs on Instagram even while they are clearly active on there. Worst customer service I've ever received. And businesses like this wonder why they don't have budgets for staff when they are literally forcing people to shop online. 0/10, will take my money elsewhere. read more

Dangerfield is a youth goldmine for unique vintage, punk, indie, and rockabilly styled clothing and accessories. I personally love this place, being a dress fanatic, as it stocks cute vintage inspired frocks that are reasonably priced and very flattering. They stock a range of men's and women's products including clothing, hats, jewelry, belts, bags, purses and all kinds of quirky knick knacks. Printed tee's from Pulp Kitchen are stocked here and one of the most popular features, with prints from old sitcoms, celebrities, musicians, movies, and anything else amusing. I also recommend scouting this place for your winter coats, whatever style you may have. They're great quality, amazing styles for both genders, and there's a great range. The staff is always nice and helpful, but not in that annoying in-your-face way that you can often be bombarded with in many shops. Change rooms are big, mirrors don't make you look like a whale, and there's a spot for boyfriends to sit if they're being dragged along for the shopping expedition. But even then, the boys will enjoy the clothing range as well so it's a win-win situation. read more

I get my belts from Dangerfield, you know the cool ones with the interchangeable buckles. I also get my printed T-shirts from here too, although you'll generally find me sifting through the guys section because their prints are just that much cooler. I found one in Dangerfield not so long ago which featured the silhouette of a tree with a child sitting on a swing on one side and on the other there was a guy hanging from a rope.; appealed to the twisted side of me. Whereas the girls prints are Marilyn Monroe and kittens, yawn. There are some really nice winter coats to be found in Dangerfield, I like to go in and stroke them whilst I talk myself out of buying them, if you stand there long enough this technique actually works (I'm talking to the shopaholics out there) of course it takes practice. From the store front and from its name, you can already tell Dangerfield has a lot of edge and attitude. You can find both women and men's fashion and accessories, marketed at teens and young adults. (Or not so young, whatever floats your boat.) I have come here a couple of times to pick up a birthday present for my younger brother and have found a couple of pretty nice tops and dresses. It may be described as having an overall dark, punkish look but there are some less extreme fashion choices such as woolen sweaters, checkered shirts, floral dresses, and doc martin lookalikes. Though it's not my first choice when shopping, there have been a couple of good finds here. read more

Dangerfield on Rundle is a place I consistently visit during my retail exploits. Most of my clothes are from there. It is unfortunate however, because there is no where else in Adelaide with similar clothing and Dangerfield is quite expensive. Their range of printed t-shirts is unique, often portraying pop culture figures or internet memes in a kind of indie style. They have a bit of hipster range I suppose you could say. Some very "vintage" woollen cardigans have been circulating this last couple of seasons. They have a cool range of interesting accessories as well. Hamburger phones were a craze once, and they were and still are sold here. read more

My wife has curves, but saw she was well within the size-range at Dangerfield Hobart. On Thursday, her friends took her shopping to celebrate her birthday. Once the group had floated apart instore to look at different items, my wife (and only her - from a group of similarly shaped women) was approached by a staff member who openly fat-shamed her, leaving her feeling wretched for half of her day. It was unprovoked and completely unwarranted. This... person... whose name is protected by review guidelines and by me not lowering myself to shaming them in return; has clearly assigned herself the role of body judge and Dangerfield, who have not even bothered to apologise, clearly don't care enough about their long-time customers to do anything. I would say 'shame on you' but obviously these people have no shame. read more

Very poor customer service Ordered an item on 14 Aug 2019 for a special occasion to be used nine days from the order date. I paid extra postage cost $14.95 to be delivered in 3 to 5 days. (order #100140884). Five days later, on 19th Aug, contacted the customer service and spoke to Laura, she said the item had not been dispatched yet and she will be making sure to dispatch it on Mon,19/8. Since we needed this item by Thu 22nd Aug contacted the customer service again on Tue, 20th Aug and spoke to Jade. She said the Item had not been dispatched and it was going to be sent out on 20/8. But when I rang your office again on Wed, 21st Aug (spoke to Jade again) I was simply gobsmacked to hear that this item had still not been dispatched. I was again made to believe that it was going to be dispatched today. Nevertheless, it was not going to be any use to us as I was told by Jade that it will not be reaching us by Thu, 22 Aug 2019. Overall shocking customer service from your staff members, having explained the importance of why we needed the item urgently on two separate occasions they still did not pay any attention to our needs. We are thoroughly disappointed we relied on your brand and service for an important occasion as we have been miserably let down by your poor customer service. read more

The Dangerfield store is often populated with 'scene' kids who like to stare at anyone not wearing the uniform of the disenfranchised youth, but bare the insipid music blaring out of their headphones a little longer and you will find plenty of affordable clothes to drape yourself in. Dangerfield have established themselves as a unique streetware store that routinely creates covetable looks. And the best bit? They aren't too expensive. You can have your black skinny legs and ironic t-shirt and wear it too. They also stock brands Black Friday, Princess Highway, Revival, Pulp Kitchen and St Lenny. read more

Dangerfield support isn't great - I bought 2 shirts in store that were discounted online and in store. I only went into the store as I happened to be travelling that way and thought it'd be best to check the size as their sizing is all over the place (I have shirts in 6, 8, 10 and 12!). Unpacking the bag the next day I suddenly realized no discount had been applied, but was then far from the store. I contacted customer support asking them to give me official confirmation the discount should've been applied in the store on that date, as the discount had by then been removed from the online store so I assume also in store. Customer support weren't even willing to sort out the issue and let the store know the discount should've been applied - they wanted me to travel back to the store and sort it out - even after I explained I could no longer prove to the store any discount should've been applied the date I bought it. I sent further emails to customer support stating I believed they should be the ones determining the discount date to help me with my return so I knew travelling all the way back to the store would be worth it - but then got no responses to any of my follow up emails at all, suggesting they simply didn't want to deal with it - otherwise why ignore all my further support updates? So I was overcharged and Dangerfield didn't seem to care at all. read more
