This woman is the bee's knees. She doesn't take pictures,…read moreshe captures perfect moments in time. I have the pictures she has taken throughout our home and every time I see one it makes me happy. I told her I didn't want a canned photo of all of us smiling uncomfortably. What she produced was beyond what I could have imagined. There was my beautiful family captured naturally and artistically! I'm not lying when I say I started bawling the first time I saw the pictures. Good Stuff.

Rachel was the photographer for my wedding two summers ago at the Redstone Inn. When looking for a…read morewedding photographer, I looked around and what drew my fiancé and I to Rachel was her ability to capture PEOPLE. She caught their expressions and emotions and the important moments in their lives. And not just wedding moments. Rachel spans the gap in her photography and has a very diverse portfolio of many different life moments. She is able to work with people of all ages and in all stages of their life and help them capture where they are at that moment. I really like her work. For our wedding, my fiancé and I decided that beyond table arrangements and flower bouquets, we wanted to remember the people around us and the feeling of our day, and that is why we chose Rachel. Don't get me wrong, I wanted "The Dress" photo, (and I got it =)) but more than that, I wanted good pictures of my sometimes not-so-photogenic family. Rachel nailed it. All of it. Rachel was able to capture moments that I didn't see that day and make me feel like I was there as they were playing out. She extended my wedding day! What you can't see in her portfolio is how wonderful she is to work with. Professional, personable, friendly, FUN. She came into the room where I was getting ready with my mom, sister, aunts and bridesmaid's and she just fit in. One of my girlfriends said that it felt like she was just one of us, which she was for that day, and which I have now learned is how she get's the best people shots. People feel comfortable around her. Two days after our wedding, Rachel sent us a sneak peak of our photo's. 10 days later, we had at least a thousand amazing shots in our possession. I was blown away. I have heard stories of people who wait months to get their wedding photo's and then have 300 terrible shots delivered. This was the exact opposite of my experience. Rachel was combing through her negatives during dinner. When she could have been taking a break, she was there working, sifting through thousands of outtakes to deliver us only the best shots. After being around Rachel at my wedding and seeing my photo's, one of my bridesmaids hired Rachel to shoot her wedding the following summer (See VH's review). She loves her photo's. My cousin also tried to book her for his wedding last fall, but she was already booked that weekend. Which brings me to my last point, If you like her work, book her fast! She is one of the best investments you will make. Wedding photo's last a lifetime; Make sure you have photo's that you want hanging around ;-) I am SO pleased with all of my wedding photo's. I want Rachel to capture all the important moments in my life.

With nearly two decades of wedding photography experience and celebrations documented everywhere from Colorado to Ireland and Italy, Lisa has developed a distinctive style that feels both refined and deeply personal. What I especially appreciate about Lisa's approach is her commitment to authenticity. She believes wedding photography should never feel forced or artificial. Instead, her focus is on capturing genuine emotions, meaningful interactions, and the natural beauty of a wedding day as it unfolds. Her photographs allow couples to remember not only how their wedding looked, but how it felt. From my perspective as an officiant, one of the most valuable qualities a photographer can possess is the ability to recognize meaningful moments before they happen. Lisa has a remarkable eye for those moments. Whether it is a quiet exchange between partners, an emotional family interaction, or an unexpected burst of laughter, she captures the details that often become the most treasured memories. I also appreciate Lisa's love of romantic storytelling. Her work combines fine-art sensibilities with documentary observation, creating images that feel elegant while remaining grounded in real emotion. She has a particular gift for incorporating beautiful natural settings and historic venues into her photography without ever losing sight of the people at the center of the story. Another quality that stands out is her focus on creating heirlooms. Lisa understands that wedding photographs become part of a family's history. Long after the celebration has ended, the images remain. Her commitment to timeless photography ensures that couples will continue to treasure their photographs for decades and future generations to come. Most importantly, Lisa understands that weddings are about relationships. The details, scenery, and décor are important, but the heart of every celebration is the connection between people. Her photographs capture those relationships with warmth, sincerity, and an artist's eye for beauty. For couples seeking a photographer who combines fine-art imagery, authentic storytelling, international experience, and a genuine passion for preserving meaningful moments, I am delighted to recommend Lisa O'Dwyer. Her work reflects the belief that the most powerful wedding photographs are the ones that allow couples to relive the emotions of the day for years to come.

She is a true professional and offers the highest quality of product and customer service. Lisa was referred to me by my matron of honor, who had hired Lisa for her wedding the previous year. I appreciate Lisa's willingness to fly from Colorado to Arizona to shoot my wedding, as well as her making time to Skype with me to answer my questions ahead of time. Lisa also made time to meet with my mom and me while she was visiting Arizona a few months before the wedding. When looking for a photographer, Lisa stood out to me because of her experience and passion to capture moments that I will share with family and generations to come. She's been a photographer for more than 10 years, has a degree in Art History and has spent many years traveling and living abroad... all of which are represented in her work and I think make her a top choice for a wedding photographer. On my wedding day, Lisa arrived on time, full of energy and ready to capture each moment. She adapted to the unpredictable moments a wedding day can bring, while still getting all the shots I requested and more. Lisa and her assistant knew exactly what shots they needed from getting ready time, to the ceremony, to dinner and dancing. I was very pleased they photographed all angles of the ceremony, captured many special moments and thought of shots I did not. They truly showed their professionalism and experience. I couldn't be happier with my wedding photos! Lisa's classic, elegant style is evident in every photo and it was a perfect match with our romantic, garden wedding. Each photo exudes her passion for people, emotion, art, history, nature and architecture. Lisa captured so many special moments and every detail I wanted. I can't thank her enough for the joy the photos bring me each time I look at them. Lisa O'Dwyer delivers on every aspect of an outstanding wedding photographer. She goes above and beyond to make sure couples have an amazing experience before, during and after the wedding. I highly recommend her for any couple getting married!
