The stone had come loose after she'd taken part in some sort of outdoor pursuit, she was distraught until we had a chat with the kind folk at this jewelers. Here, they specialise in design and production of fine jewellery. The staff member was extremely helpful and while we were waiting we took advantage of his knowledge of his trade, very impressive. The repair took around fifteen minutes and included a polish, it was well worth the £11.00 bill. We were reassured that her diamond wouldn't be escaping any time soon due to the secure repair and it was a pleasure to see the sparkle restored to her face.

When we returned to pick it up he not only re-sized the ring beautifully with no trace of a soldering line, he also managed to do the whole job without cutting out any of the engraving. I went to Manna Bros, where the very polite gentleman told me it would only cost £10 to have my silver ring resized, and double checked my ring size to ensure it'd have the perfect fit. He told me it would be ready within the day, and he'd call when I could collect the ring. It was not even an hour later when he called to say my ring was ready. I collected the ring, which now fits perfectly, and it's totally flawless! I'd strongly recommend Manna Bros to anyone who needs jewellery repaired.

Any need for good precious metal jewellery or diamond based products and I'll always go here to get a first opinion on price and expected quality for said prices. With a workshop in the back most orders are turned around failry quickly when it comes to stone work settings, pendants, cleaning etc... For specialist requirements (diamond cutting technology, platinum lazering etc...) the jewellery will be sent off but still ready for pick up within 2-3 working days. Both the jeweller himself and his shop assistant are always happy to have a natter advising around both your requirements, their material knowledge and the outcomes that others in similar situations have had. They are happy to converse face to face by phone or email to make sure it is as easy as possible for you to get your requirements to them clearly. If it is not a custom piece the stock jewellery they have is very reasonably priced and all hand made. Price wise they are very similar to other jewellers in the area (a few pound cheaper but nothing to break the bank) but it is all about the personnal, none invasive service here, you can talk for half an hour and walk out without any pressure to try and force the sale. I can also vouch for the quality of the jewellery here as items I have bought are still going strong with minimal surface scratches to the metal work (expected). A personal favourite and deserving of the 5 stars!

When I got engaged, a colleague in the Jewellery Quarter recommended Cirrus to me as she got her engagement ring from there and was full of praise for them. When I visited them, they were very busy - which, again, can be taken as a good sign, but I felt a slight whiff of the factory-production line about the whole thing: the staff were clearly well-trained to meet and greet, say all the right things and Bobs your uncle, you're £1,000 lighter in the pocket. They were very informative, however, and I felt like I received a free crash course in diamonds: clarity, carat, cut etc etc. Their prices were a bit steeper than other, smaller places that I then went and visited, so I'm quite pleased I shopped around afterwards. They do know their stuff and they are extremely good at sales, but I would recommend shopping around a bit with other jewellers before you part with your hard-earned cash.

Perhaps it was my own fault to take my then-fiancée with me to a jeweller, instead of picking out something myself. She made trying before buying into an art form and, while I love you, dear, it was, ahem, very trying. They were the most un-boy hours of all time. But as soon as we visited Cirrus, everything seemed to click into place. It's a diamond vendor first, and while complete rings are available, it's really about picking out a stone as an initial step. The staff were patient, helpful, appreciative of the emotional and financial leaps being made and had an eye-twinkle to match the diamonds. It really felt like a personal service, complete with a call they'd promised to let me know when the finished product was ready. It was all turned round quickly and available for collection when they said it would be. Best of all, through sheer experience, the staff had been able to glimpse something hitherto only perceivable in my now-wife's subjective and, at least to me, unknowable, mind's eye. Top marks, well, four stars... but only because, you know, I could have bought a huge telly instead. I forgive them, though. Just.
