Received a quote of $2,200 from a shop to replace entire exhaust pipe from engine to mufflers on my 2007 Audi A4 due to rotted out parts in the middle section. Read reviews on-line about Danny Mufflers - all great - so decided to give them a shot. I pulled into lot and Danny greeted me at door. Told him my woe and he said pull it in on the lift, let's take a look. Danny showed me the middle section of exhaust pipe that was rusted out, and also that the rest of pipe and mufflers were in good shape. He said "$230, I'll need an hour and a half." I know people are often suspicious to see so many 5-star ratings next to a business, perhaps even suspecting that the people who write them are friends or family members of the business owner. I am neither, and I can honestly say that this place deserves five stars. I found Danny's by doing a simple Google search for muffler shops in my area. Given that this was my first muffler issue in about thirty years, I really didn't know who to go to, and I've lost all my faith in "chain" auto repair centers in recent years. So I thought I'd pull up to Danny's, get a "vibe," and decide whether I was going to stay. The fact that the owner came outside and greeted me at my car got this little experiment off to a good start. And when he took me into the garage to show me exactly what was causing all the noise under my Honda Element, he took a big step toward earning my trust, which is not easy these days. The deal-maker, though, was when he presented an option that was going to cost me a lot less than a new exhaust system and seemed to make much better sense for a car that is now almost thirteen years old. The bottom line is that, for less than $200, I drove out of Danny's with a muffler that no longer announces my arrival from two miles away. It is so rare to find good service anywhere these days. My local shop, J&M Auto Repairs in Syosset, does really good work and doesn't screw around with you every time you go in for a minor service. I had hoped to find a muffler shop that does the same, and I found it in Danny's (formerly Meineke). It's not, in any way, convenient for me, but I will be back! read more

The BEST!!! Years ago went in with grinding brakes expecting to replace - Rich came out 'they really dirty ' we cleaned them up ur good to go no charge! Honest!! Recently did have the brakes done - then started awful squeak!! They worked on - and again still squeak -theyvwould not let me leave till they delivered work they were proud of - no squeak - definitely a happy driver customer. I was referred to Danny's by Dominick's Auto in Massapequa. They took my car right away and diagnosed a broken exhaust pipe and bracket for the muffler. Repaired the pipe by welding a new piece of pipe and bracket and I was out the door at 8:30. Nothing else was wrong and I wasn't trying to be sold repairs or replacement parts I didn't need.
