Fast and friendly. I'm not from the area but after seeing the great reviews I stopped by. I received the dmv notice for license renewal and smog inspection with smog certification. I initially went to my car dealer to get the inspection because they had to work on my car for recall reasons. So I decided to kill 2 birds with one stone, however the price for smog check and certification was $58. They ended up not even doing it because their smog tech left for the day. So I came here. No BS assessment was done. I got my test and certification in about 10-15 minutes (maybe less) and I was out the door. ALL FOR just $40. However that is if you use their coupon on their website. I showed it to the tech on my phone. Otherwise the price would be $50. Come here for your smog checks. Highly recommend. read more

A couple months back I came here to get my car smog tested. Unfortunately my gas cap didn't pass and they told me it would need to be replaced. They also told me that my car was running too high of RPM's and to take it to my mechanic to adjust the timing and then bring it back, they charged me $30 or $40 for this and told me it would be an additional $10 when I brought it back and passed. The next day I purchased a new gas cap and returned having looked at the printout they gave me the only thing that actually failed was the gas cap, and it was old and the rubber was cracking so that made sense. However I was turned away even after fixing the problem. The employee again told me that the RPMs were too high and he refused to test it until that was fixed. I immediately took it to my mechanic, and showed him the printout and told them what I was told at which point they called bullshit and had their local smog test center check it. It passed with no problem. My car is about 10 years old and gets serviced regularly, it never had a problem passing smog before. I can't recommend anyone use these guys, I certainly won't again. read more

I came here after reading all the stellar reviews regarding this business. I have to say it was an excellent experience. Even on a rainy day with no appointment the operators of the establishment greeted me warmly and were very accommodating. They accepted a $10 off coupon I provided and gave me an estimated time of 20mins. I then popped my earbuds in and sat down on their provided chairs to settle into one of my audiobooks. To my surprise, in what felt more like 10mins, they were done. After finishing up payment, they offered me some great courtesy automotive advice and sent me on my way. So I came here because the dmv required me to get a smog check. I remember going to the stereo shop next door getting some window tinting and some HID s installed and seeing the sign outside that said STAR certified. So I came here I was first in line and with in no I time I had my certificate in hand and off to DMV. I was a little nervous because I never did a smog but it was a peice of cake. Beware if your check engine light is on it's an automatic fail no matter what. The tech knows that already he does this for a living he even told me after he ran the test.. so he knew I would fail and ran the test anyways instead of consulting with me about the issue before running the test.
