My girlfriend, who has lived in the area most of her life had always been loyal to a pizza takeaway by the Queen's Head but after we got a takeaway from here, I don't think we've ever gone back to her old fave. The layout is clean and open so you can see your pizza being made step by step. The results have never been anything less than delicious. My personal recommendation is the New York style pizza which has olives and pastrami and allsorts of wonderful toppings. The Smoky Joe is also a mouth-watering option from the many different pizzas you can choose from. The chips they do are fairly bog standard, but then it's a pizza place not a chippy. They do a Subway-style loyalty card too, but I'm always forgetting to take mine over and so have about 5 with one stamp each. They do deliver but as I live a garlic bread toss away from the place I can't report on how prompt they are or aren't. To be fair though, if it's as good and quick as the pizza itself.

I always go for the Veggie Hot or Mexican Hot pizzas (an idiotic choice when drunk) but they're scrumptious and I usually do that well sexy thing of waking up to a breakfast slice left in the box. It's entirely possible that the three Sophie's outlets currently dotted either side of the traffic island in Cotteridge are connected by a series of underground tunnels, and that those in charge are secretly colonising the hub of B30 by stealth, taking over the shop units from a subterranean operations base. The staff are friendly, there's a seating area inside and out, it's cheap and cheerful and the food is really good. The pizza can be a little on the greasy side, but you don't order a pizza for the health benefits. My favourite has to be the Italian BBQ. They also do huge bowls of pasta with homemade sauce (it is home made as well, I watched them make it once) and what ever toppings you want. There are burgers too, which are huge! They also have a lunch menu, served til 3pm with wraps, baguttes, jacket spuds and paninis. Cheap, cheerful and tasty. Sophie's Pizza is my favourite spot to grab lunch/dinner/second breakfast in Cotteridge.

As there were a few of us, we ordered 3 large pizzas, a meatfeast, a vegetarian and a bbq chicken. Unlike some of the more recognisable delivery brands, these pizzas were not dripping in grease which instantly gave the toppings more flavour. They were also very generous with the toppings on each of the pizzas, so much so most of mine kept sliding off but that all adds to fun of getting messy eating pizzas! The delivery was really quick too, I'd say it was within 30 minutes which for a Saturday night is really good. My friend orders from them all the time and I will definitely be going over for the next pizza night!

When I first heard of eight foot grocery, I wasn't aware of such a good deli in Birmingham. However with Otto in addition in the arsenal, jewellery quarter is a must place for food lovers. The boastings of Otto was the high quality ingredients and it didn't disappoint, see the individual reviews for 4 different pizzas below: Special 1 - pumpkin, pine nuts, crispy bacon, mozzarella drizzled with honey - Not too heavy and not too light. The pizza gives a Hawaiian feel, however there are no juices, but you definitely do taste the sweet glaze. Special 2 - fresh coppa, mozzarella, topped with rocket - ham, with rocket. Even though it was a special, I think it's missing a flavour, perhaps add some olives or maybe some pesto to give it an extra bang. Main 2 - Nduja, Mozzarella and tomato - spicy chilli salami paste scattered all over the pizza. It gives the pizza a nice kick, just how I like it. Main 4 - Mushroom, seared pepper, artichoke, tomato and ricotta - a unique pizza without the mozzarella, therefore it's particularly saucy but the vegetables and ricotta make up for that. I also recommend the tomato and pesto flatbread, just can't go wrong with pesto on some bread. Warm and crispy with the flavour of the pesto complimenting the bread. Service was very good, with regular staff making sure the food was ok and no problems encountered - just how it should be! I can see this place becoming not only an evening hangout but a great lunch area too! With takeouts available, there's just no way you can miss an opportunity to try Otto. Great pizza, great price. The delivery times i have always been given are always early for example if they say 40 mins it arrives after 30mins of ordering and it is hot. I think that the phone orders sometimes seem that they quickly want you off the line however still order from there as the food is good.
