I hadn't been to Dapper Dan's in about ten years, but we decided to stop in to see the Christmas lights. Every holiday season for the past couple of years, the whole place is decked out in Christmas lights and decorations. Without having a single regular light lit, the place is bright and festive. It's your typical dive bar, and it smells faintly of cigarettes as if they still let the regulars smoke inside when it gets late. They have pretty standard dive bar offerings. The single bartender was rushing around the packed bar trying to serve everyone quickly and pleasantly despite some rude guy's comments. The crowd was mostly older - 30'sh and up. While we were there, the power went out about six times, but the bartender kept her cool, and the lights always returned. They have a popcorn machine, which is a bonus! Stopped by during the final Browns game. I was disappointed that they don't have a Sunday liquor license. It was a forgettable experience. The menu offered basic low end bar food. It's the type of bar you would visit to sit undisturbed drowning your sorrows for getting laid off, and finding out your wife has been an escort for the last six years. Poor selection of bourbon and bartender didn't know to make an old fashioned. Not highly recommended unless you're drinking beer.

Stopped in last night for dinner with the husband, the place was decorated cute for the Holiday. The service was super friendly, the menu and the food will keep me from returning. read more
