Not sure what happened today, but it was so disappointing. This restaurant is definitely hit or miss because we were just there we could go and it was great. We arrived and it took a very long time and multiple times of asking for them to bring us a highchair or a third glass of water . Once our order was put in the salsa took a very long time and other tables were also complaining.. They were even people who had ordered ahead of time online and the server left them waiting for a very long time for their food. By the time we left they still didn't have their food. I specified my dietary requirements, which were the same as last time. Last time where they had no problem obliging this time they brought it out and it was not edible due to the failure to oblige with this- the police, which came with the meal were thick like a nan, pry is meant to be thin and poofed filled with air. The server did not come to check on us to see how our food was, and I had to track them down to let them know I was not able to eat my specified dish, they took it to the kitchen and added cream and brought it back. It was still not OK and they tried to explain this to them. They offered to bring something else, but at this point, we had been waiting so long we just wanted to go. The server proceeded to offer me a box to take my meal home, which I had already explained to them multiple times for medical reasons. I'm unable to eat the way they prepared it. And they then brought us the bill with this item. We had to ask them to take it off, which they then went to call a manager on the phone and came back with the bill without this one item. We might try it again one last time- as I feel like tonight must have been extremely shortstaffed. Last weekend when we were there, there were three servers and everything was running smoothly. Ordered via Door Dash. Wish they would add xtra mild option for food bc mild is still more spicy than I like. Had the paneer saag, butter chicken and garlic naan. Drove to Delray Beach specifically to try this Indian restaurant with many raving Yelp reviews. This will be my first time eating traditional Indian foods As I entered the restaurant, an immediate blast of curry smacked me in the face. The interior was traditional Indian and oddly had a large pizza oven next to the bar. The loquacious owner, Raj, greeted me and explained some of the traditional dishes that he recommends for novice Indian food eaters. We ordered a basket of three types of Naan flatbread which included the garlic which was my favorite. Three different types of Chicken dishes - Curry, Butter and Korma with white rice. My Chicken Curry heat was a 5 out of 10. The other two were mild to medium heat. My nose ran a little but the spice was perfect. Raj explained that they offer fresh pizza with regular dough but add the Indian Chicken Butter instead of Italian sauce then add veggies and other toppings. Came here in the late afternoon for lunch on a weekday and it was decently occupied by other patrons which I took as a good sign. The service was incredibly friendly and we were seated promptly. The order of butter chicken, chicken tika masala, and the chicken korma were freshly made. The sauces had great flavor but the meat was a tad on the dry side. They didn't have it running when we were there, but they have a big pizza oven and an interesting selection of Indian pizzas that look worth trying on a subsequent visit. read more

Alright, let's talk about Dasara Indian Cuisine used to be called Persis Indian Grill, in Delray! First off, the vibe is super casual. Nothing fancy, just a comfy spot to enjoy some good food. And speaking of delicious, their Biryani is their signature dish. I went on a weekend, and had to use their buffet. For $28 they have a ton of different dishes to choose from, so you can sample a little bit of everything. It's a great way to explore all the flavors they have to offer. The service was good too. My Love and I were so impressed with Persis! Can't wait to go back! The restaurant is tucked in a storefront near Target on Linton. The dining room isn't huge but it is comfortable. TVs around the room play Bollywood music videos which was fun to see. The staff were very helpful with the menu and food came out quickly! And ohhhhhhh the food! My chicken biryani was maybe the best thing I have had at an Indian place outside of the places I frequented living in NYC years ago! I will be back to Persis when they offer their buffet so I can try many more of their selections at one time! We stopped here for lunch. I'd seen a review online that had looked intriguing --including some lunch specials -- so I'd bookmarked the location. When we came here, there were a few folks doing takeout, but no others dining in. We were given a menu -- their regular menu, but nothing about the specials. We were told that they offer a buffet on the weekends. I showed the server my photo of the lunch specials menu and he said they were still available. (So, if you go here during the week for lunch, do ask about the menu I took a picture of and posted attached.) The restaurant was a former pizza place and there's still the oven in place. They also do pizzas I think, but not sure. There are booths and tables. As well as a small counter. As we were waiting for our food, they gave us some complimentary lentil soup. It was very good, but a bit too spicy for me. The lunch came with plain naan bread (good), jasmine rice (fluffy), and the entree. We both got the chicken tikka masala -- he got medium heat (you could see the extra hot peppers) and I got mild. The white meat chicken chunks were tender and the sauce it was in was creamy and delicious. There were also bell peppers and onions in the sauce. We were given carrot halwah for dessert. This was sweet and crunchy at the same time. I had a taste and gave mine to my husband -- who finished both. Although they were a bit unorganized, the food came out fairly timely once we'd ordered. And the food was way better than the average Indian meal. And the lunch special was certainly a bargain price. If in the area, I'd try them again -- just allowing for a bit of time. read more

I love Indian and I love pizza and saw this place had Indian pizza so absolutely needed to give it a try. The menu is BIG, and everything sounds good so it might he useful to take a look beforehand so you're not spending 30 minutes just trying to decide what you want. We ordered the Gobi 65 as an app. Absolutely fantastic, perfect amount of spice, fried perfectly and the cauliflower was nice and soft. We went to order the pizza only to find out that they only serve their pizza to-go. I was insanely disappointed considering that's the whole reason why I came here. And when I asked about the pizza initially, the waitress didn't even seem sure that they were making it. So I don't think that they have a solidified system of when and how they serve their pizza. The fact that they only serve it to-go is not mentioned anywhere. So we ended up getting saag paneer, malai kofta, vegetable fried rice, plain naan, garlic naan and chili garlic naan. The saag paneer was slightly bland, we added some salt to it and it definitely made it much better. The malai kofta was incredible, probably my new go-to dish. Though, it definitely didn't have any cheese balls in it like described on the menu, there were only potatoes. The garlic and chili garlic naan were fresh, and they give you a nice big portion! The veggie fried rice had lots of good vegetables in it. With an app, three entrees, naan and 2 soft drinks, the total came to about $85. Which is certainly not cheap, but the food was delicious. I live so close to this place and had never stopped and tried it. Being that I traveled to India this year and had been missing the amazing food I decided to bring the wife and kid to try it out. The place is located very conveniently off of the Linton exit. It's a nice size little restaurant that also has a great pizza oven! Who would've guessed! But, the most important part is that their food has to be good! Long story short this place is a MUST-VISIT for any foodie, Indian food lover, vegetarian, pizza head, or anyone with taste buds and not scared of some spice. This could be my new favorite spot. Tandoori Chicken- order it, love it, become obsessed. They give you the entire chicken and it's about as close as the one I had on the streets of Jaipur. Butter chicken- best I've had in FL, excellent! Garlic naan - get it extra crispy, it's amazing Lentil soup - give me the recipe!!! Overall this dinner hit the spot for me. Bursting with flavor, perfect amount of spice, everything well cooked, and prices are more than fair. This place is a home run. And of course the final star is earned with service, and earn it they did. The server was friendly, fast, and attentive. The owner stopped by and made sure everything was to our liking, seems like a great guy. They had blue moon on draft for $4! Can't beat that! We did takeout from here, so we can't really comment on the restaurant itself. Plenty of parking, of course. The restaurant itself looked nice. People were friendly. If it had been just my wife and I, the food would've been 100% fine, more or less (see the tandoori chicken below) but unfortunately, we have 3 small kids that we wanted to introduce to Indian food. Although we ordered everything "mild" the food was still quite spicy for small kids, ensuring that we can't come back, unfortunately, because we love Indian food. It came with enough rice for the lamb tikka masala. Spinach Pakora: A Very good pakora. The gram flour was fried very crispy and the flavor was truly wonderful. Samosa (vegetable): B- Slightly soggy, but I'm sure part of that is due to us taking the food out. Still, we had ordered "mild" but it definitely wasn't mild -- our kids couldn't tolerate it (which meant I hate the whole thing, which is nice, but not what I wanted). Tandoori Chicken: C Too much white meat. Utterly dry. As dry as the Thar Desert. Nice flavor, but I really wish we had been given more dark meat. Ugh. I asked my phone " where can I find spicy curry" and it gave me directions to dasara Indian cuisine. It's a small place that wasn't too busy. I sat at the bar and asked the worker what spicy curry he would suggest. I told him I want it hot enough to kill me. I ended up with a spicy goat curry with the exact heat I was looking for. It gave me sweaty cheeks. I asked him to give me a beer that they drink in India, he gave me Kingfisher and it was 10/10 stars. It was smooth with a lil bite. Everything was very authentic, the garlic knots reminded me of flat fry bread. The white rice was cooked different than what you get at a chinese restaurant. The grains were different lengths, and it wasn't sticky. I prefer the Indian way. I give this place a 10/10 and I will be coming back. read more

I took my family to this restaurant on a friend's recommendation. This place is authentic and so, so good! The portions are generous and the spices are on point. My nephew and I shared the chicken biryani. Delicious with the yogurt sauce to neutralize the spice. My sons shared the lamb tikka masala and noted that the lamb was tender and cooked perfectly. A friend got butter chicken and she devoured it. Garlic and butter naan are so warm and fresh and delicious. We added an extra order because they were gone so fast! Mango lassi to finish. Yum! Prices are very reasonable and they are accommodating with the level of spice. Medium was perfect for me. The restaurant is located in a strip mall and is nothing fancy on the inside (Bollywood movies on TVs displayed around the restaurant) but we were really going for flavorful food on a budget, so ambience didn't really matter for this particular outing. The service was good and all servers were very attentive. All the food didn't come out together so that was a little awkward, but once everyone got their plates, they were too busy devouring them to remember that minor problem. Highly recommend. We love this place! We've either eaten in or had takeout about 6 times in the past 2 months. Today we tried the pizzas. The one star is specifically for the pizzas. Ordered the tandoori and the bbq. Both were relatively flavorless slices of thick bread. Needs a thinner crust so it's thoroughly cooked and add more toppings. So disappointed considering how excellent all of their other dishes are. We arrived around noon for lunch. You seat yourself. It is located in a strip mall and is not an elaborately decorated Indian restaurant with flowing drapes and abundant cultural remnants. Clean well lit, cloth napkins, Bollywood videos playing, but think old pizzeria before current business. Two ppl worked the front taking orders/serving, not sure abt the back. Sometimes the coordination btwn the them seemed to be off, as the food wasn't brought out together -like 10mins apart, then after all the food came the nan, and just when you think they forgot the tea, if came out last. The food took while longer than expected for a place that has opens at lunch, about 45 minutes between ordering and food arrival. The place wasn't packed at the time either 1 table w/2men on lunch and another group with 3older ladies were there. We had the Gongura Goat and Chicken Korma; meat was tender. Sauce for the Korma was more on the creamy than saucy side (no problem). It was fresh, was good consistency. The Garlic Nan was better than I have tasted at other local spots -light buttery with slight crisp at 1st bite before soft. The tea was lovely and tasted as expected. The pricing was typical for this cuisine, not a pocket drain nor super cheap either. Overall, good food, it spoke for itself; service was just okay very exchange in nature (I'm fine with that). One of the men gave a lil pressure for a Google review. I wasn't mad at the hustle, but at least greet me when I come in. This food is absolutely amazing! This is some of the best Indian food I have ever had, and I'm from Jersey- we have amazing Indian where I am from. The owner came over and had a long conversation with us and was so humble and very kind and helpful. Would absolutely love to see this place thrive! Our food came out at a very reasonable time and was still extremely hot! Our waiter was extremely nice and made sure to double check with us before he sent in our order. Great experience. A hidden gem! The menu has the standard british/indian dishes, but also many authentic regional indian dishes too! The service was very friendly and the food came out fast. We loved the Chilli Gobi as an app. Both of entrees were fantastic. Their spicy is spicy and my face melted in the most wonderful way. The naan was light and fresh. So disappointing. We loved this restaurant when we first started eating here, and brought many friends along to enjoy the delicious food. We returned this week after being away for four months, and sadly, everything has changed, and not for the better. We ordered the exact same meal we have enjoyed here since the beginning. Tandoori chicken, samosa chat, samosas, bhindi masala (fried okra). We also ordered lamb curry. The tandoori chicken clearly was not freshly made. It was drenched in some kind of very spicy tomato sauce, and reheated with the sauce on top. The sauce itself was so spicy you could not taste the chicken. Tandoori chicken should be reddish and dry, not sauced. When we first started coming here you would get a whole chicken with your order, now it was only half. We always request our food be mildly spiced. The samosa chat was inedible. It was so very spicy that it tasted bitter. The same bitter spice was present in the samosas. The bhindi masala was also disappointing. Again, overly spicy, almost inedible. There was a lot of tomato and onion in the bhindi and very little fried okra. Finally, the lamb curry. I can't tell you how this tasted, because they gave us chicken curry instead. Since this was a take out order, we did not realize that until we got home. I don't know if this restaurant got a new chef, or new owners, but this meal was not good. read more

Unassuming little establishment in Delray, very close off I95. Needed to get a quick fix before I headed home and this fit the bill. Service was prompt and fast. Not the most attentive, but this isn't that kind of establishment so I'll forgive them on it. First time I ever get offered a lime with my order of gobi Manchurian and now that's going to be a must. Good texture and amazing portion size. Very tasty. The Navratan korma was delicious and very well presented. I appreciate this establishment not second guessing my spiciness level selection when I said Indian spicy. Any place that gets this right off the bat is an automatic five star in my book.
