Since I'm near deaf, he took copies of my paperwork. Sworn statements. Then met in person with the Staff Sgt. I do not believe Shawn Mikell is a licensed contractor now. He's scammed people by horrible 'work', adding things to material list his clients were charged for...and never saw or understood the itemized list. (He tried to swindle me for lots, nearly $1,000 worth, of hardware dealing with a privacy fence. Which I do not have.) The Staff Sgt, he paid him the $8,000 and then Mikell disappeared on him. He ALSO got a large, unitemized bill, from same local building supply. And also for materials never delivered. I'd guess this self proclaimed Special Forces guy has had built a very nice house or two with scammed money and materials that his clients never realized. Please be cautious ànd pay contractors, as I did, for deposit with a credit card you can contest charges. And report to all smaller building suppliers that you will pay in person for needed materials. No charges to your name and address!

Everything should have taken maybe two weeks. He charged an outrageous deposit. He wouldn't show up when promised and was very hard to reach. He didn't finish anything. Then he returned a lot of materials to Home Depot and kept the huge cash refund all to himself! He claimed he bought more materials. Do NOT do business with this thief or his company!
