Data Lab are computer wizards! The hard drive on my laptop was failing and I could no longer log in or access anything. I was afraid that all my data would be lost. Took it to Mike at Data Lab hoping that he could help retrieve all my information... a children's book that I am writing, photo's, graphic design projects - everything was on there! Mike was able to get all my information onto my new hard drive, even though the old hard drive was almost completely gone. So happy and relieved! If I could give 10 stars I would! A few weeks ago I lost my 15 year old son unexpectedly. My sister found Data Lab to help her recover old videos and photos from an old computer she had. Mike helped her no problem and past experience with other companies would dictate that their work was done...next customer please. This was not the case with Data Lab, Mike gave his number to be pasted on to me to help create a legacy slideshow to be shared at the funeral. Mike's help was one of many unexpected kindnesses offered to us during this unimaginable time. He logged into my computer remotely, set up a program for me to load all my media into, then he helped me load music and render the file. Again, one would think that is where the support would end, but that was not the case. When I went to the funeral location to test the video I was having issues with audio; he offered to have tech support come out to our location to troubleshoot and ensure things all went smoothly. I will never forget the compassion and patience he had with me while I was living any parent's worst nightmare. 8 days ago I came to Data Lab in Sherwood Park hopeless I thought all my data is lost when my SSD starting acting up all of a sudden after using a GOOJODOQ 7 port usb extender from Ali Express(total crap in 10-15 minutes damaged my drive).I couldn't even sleep properly the night it happened.I called Data Lab Jason responded he was very encouraging and he said Michael and him will do all their best to recover my data just bring it asap.I brought it and after a couple of hours late evening Jason called me saying that they believe they can recover all the data and everything might be ready the next day and I can sleep well that night:)).I was also told my SSD had a firmware damage.I brought them another HDD to put the data back and because I couldn't come by the end of Friday Michael told me that I can even come on Saturday to pick up everything since he's gonna pass by the office anyway.Normally Saturday is closed. This company is the right place to go for data recovery.They are not only skilled and have the right tools to do the job but they are also super nice people to deal with.They know a lot of customers are hopeless and mad and they are doing their best to raise your moral and give you hope which matters a lot. I will always recommend these guys to anyone needing data recovery.I can also add that price wise they are very competitive too. read more
